While it is fresh on my mind and truly so that others are aware, I am sharing my experience with this co. The initial phone call involved the usual, describing the services they provide and asking me to complete an online, detailed form, regarding that I would agree to follow their rules. It seemed strange compared to other co's - but my take away was that if this co has rules for clients, they will regard their clients with a professional approach. One of their rules is that you try to talk with them first before posting. I have more conversations (both phone and email) than with any private co and to no avail they / their staff/ the owner, either do not remember what they discussed with you or do not care. But in the end it is always the customers fault. We went to great lengths to have in person calls with the representative - you never know who you are talking to - and set up dates and times. We make sure that the dogs are going to be out and someone at home to let them in the house. Then a day before they tell you that what was discussed cannot happen. Somestimes its the day of the week needs to be changed; sometimes it's the number of cleaners; always the time is not going to work for them. But it is your fault as the customer that you cannot accomodate all changes that are occuring on their end. I had one cleaning with this co when we wanted monthly because nothing that you discuss with them, stays the same. We will gladly accomodate any changes but not constantly and not the vast changes that they want you to accomodate. read more

This is a SCAM. I asked for a "deep clean" prior to showing and selling my home. Not only was it just a well done vacuum and dusting job, but it cost an astronomical amount. Their terms were not clearly shown prior to them arriving. I was told on the phone $75/hour, which is slightly steep as is and THAT IS PER MAID apparently! So when I was told 8 hours and the crew (of 2) was only there for 4, i was shocked by the $642 bill. I called to correct it and they stated that it is per labor hour per maid. THAT IS INSANITY! Never in my life have I heard of a maid service 1- ever having crews less than 2 people and 2- charging per person if it is more than just a single person. That being said it is listed in their terms, but their terms is a tiny link at the bottom of a page that were never confirmed through a contract. They never told me to review the terms or sign a contract agreeing. I CERTAINLY WOULD NOT HAVE AGREED. I was told that it was told $75/hour on the phone for 8 hours and never in my life have I heard that being cut in half just to save them time. I will NEVER be using this service again. read more

They're great. We've been using them for several months. We did a big initial cleaning and now they come twice a month. Their dedication to customer satisfaction is obvious in every interaction. We've had only one small issue with a new person missing some things in one of the bathrooms. They came back out promptly and addressed all our concerns for free. Moved at the end of September the Monaca area when I was 7 months pregnant and desperately needed our house deep cleaned before our baby arrived. I contracted with Maid On The Spot to have them clean up my mother's house in preparation for the close on the sale of that house. Clearly, they did a superlative job, per my five-star rating. But what made them really stand out was the fact that the owner himself came to clean my mother's house after realizing a schedule conflict created a lack of regular cleaners during the scheduled time. The owner's willingness to personally rectify the problem...and his willingness to offer some bonus cleaning as well...demonstrates real integrity to me. Initially we dealt with Shannon, who was very professional and set up our initial cleaning. The cleaning woman showed up 1 1/2 hours after her scheduled time and was very good at her job. We called and spoke to the co-owner, a man, who is the rudest, most unprofessional business owner I have ever spoken too. He rudely informed us that to have a specific cleaner each month, it would be an extra charge. He mailed a contract to the house with specifications in it that are just ridiculous and hidden charges for things that no cleaning company should ever charge. Our second cleaning was scheduled for a month later, no one showed up. A few days later, this "owner" called my home berating me for not confirming an appointment that was confirmed in the first visit. I informed him we would not be using his services any longer. He told me to get "back on my meds because I am obviously crazy". This month, I opened my credit card bill to find an unauthorized charge from this company for services that were never provided, as the first visit was paid in full on the day of the visit as per the company's policy. The fraud department of my credit card has been notified. If you are looking for a company owner who insults you and charges your credit card for services not rendered than this company is for you. read more

Anyone who is looking for a cleaning service, I have a recommendation of who NOT to call: Maid On the Spot, Inc. When I hired them, I requested every third Monday of the month. This is so I can know in advance when they are coming so I can pick up our stuff ahead of them. This usually consumes the entire weekend. However, most months, after I have put forth all that effort, they have either rescheduled at the last minute or failed to show up until hours after I expected them. Today, they sent a reminder email that they would be coming tomorrow, but that they would be coming at 12:30. I reminded them that that afternoons don't work for me, because I have to take my daughter to preschool and won't be here to let them in. Their response, rather than to attempt to reschedule to a time that works for me, was to fire me as a client. Apparently, I'm too high maintenance for them. Don't call them, unless you want to be inconvenienced every single month! read more
