He trimmed them about halfway up so they need to be replaced. Then he trimmed my fig tree right when it was ready to produce the figs (very few figs last year.) I also had a crabapple tree in my front yard that was also trimmed by mistake. His mother told me they would replace it if it didn't grow back. Guess what? I had to have it taken down. So that's 4 trees that were damaged and they are not cheap. Then I some azalea's that needed to be taken up and they told me they could do that so I decided to give him another try. By my stupidity I payed him $600 and the job was not finished and I had to hire someone else and they did it for $300. I contacted Brandon about refunding me some of the money and he was not nice about it. I was told by him I could take him to court. He was very arrogant with me. I am a single handicap senior and I don't have money to throw away like that. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. I'm telling you this so you will watch him and make sure he trims what you want trimmed and not to pay him before the job is finished. I learned a very good lesson. After dealing with him I think he didn't know what he was doing.
