The photos will not be covered by the $500 credit. I was told I won a "$1040 valued" Boudoir photoshoot with a $500 credit to "spend on stunning photos". They wanted a $200 deposit that I was told would be refunded if I didn't do the hair and makeup. I opted out of the hair and makeup, made the deposit, and upon my arrival was told repeatedly I did choose for the hair and make up to be done. I knew I didn't, but went ahead anyways given the cosmetologist was already there, and I wanted to look my best--even though I came with hair and makeup up done. I am also a cosmetologist, and she essentially did exactly what I had on just amped a micro amount. I had make up in my bag ready to enhance whatever I needed enhanced. We got to the photoshoot portion, and this was actually a pleasant experience. She did make me feel comfortable, I'll give her that. But after the shoot, we went to go look at the photos. I noticed a price book, but didn't think about it too hard given I had a $500 credit. That's at least one print, yeah? Haha! No. The lowest available option was digital photos for $2000 before my discount!! And they added the $200 from their mistake on my deposit, so even with my $700 credit, that is $1300 (over $1500 through my year long payment plan with interest) for 12 DIGITAL PHOTOS!!! But as it was explained, the more you photos, the cheaper it is. Mind you, I was never told a dollar amount. I left bawling as i expected to pay nothing, as that's what I was told and that's what everything hinted to. Every email and conversation was so misleading and vague and I feel absolutely cheated. I received the photos finally, and as far as I can tell (I used to be into editing photos as we all did in 2016) there is minimal editing to these photos and very loud and easily fixed details that were missed. (ex:I wore a tight bra for a bit and when I changed outfits, I had a faint line from the previous bra and it was not even edited a little) The before and after photos she showed me from other shoots were tastefully, but heavily edited to provide the perfect shot. The only things really edited in my photos were things in the background that showed the set up and such. I am severely disappointed and dissatisfied. I feel like I won nothing but more debt and some poorly edited photos along with a disheartening experience. Do NOT accept the "won experience" from here. Doing the math, I only won $395 worth of anything because, per their website under pricing " The photo shoot experience starts at $395 for regular pricing. That includes the photo shoot, professional makeup application, picture retouching, and the in-person photo viewing for you to order photo products." adding that to my $500 credit, that's only $895. They wanted to say they prepared me for this with the calls and emails, but all they did was gaslight and lie. They gave me 3 free photos after trying to say I don't want the photos to try and keep me from not purchasing them. There is nothing on their site about minimum purchase, nor did I sign anything, but they just "don't do cancellations " even tho she could've canceled the payment through affirm, deleted the photos and been done with it. She refused even though i explained I am broke as shit, told this was a free experience other than the deposit, and didn't expect to pay anything that day. This place is for people who grew up with a pool and and ocean side view with daddies money in their pocket, not for a gal trying to up her confidence and have a fun, new experience she was told that she won.

Even better, all of the pictures turned out great (again that's saying alot!!), and they have a quick turnaround for getting them edited, cropped, and online for viewing. At the wedding she got 1,000's of shots, not just of us, but of everyone there which we know will be a wonderful memory of the event. I'm not sure how they got so many shots, as I never noticed them in the way or being intrusive. Perfect!! Even…read moremonths before the reception, communicating and coordinating with her was quick and thorough. The photobooth and the props she has are so much fun! My favorite- custom prop printouts of me and my husband's faces! We couldn't take photos with all of our guests so seeing photos of our faces with them was great. We received high quality digital raw copies of all of the photos very quickly, and it was so nice to be able to see all of the guest's photos so soon. We had already booked a Hawaii photographer but knew that she had to somehow be a part of our day too so we hired her team for video. BEST decision ever. They are so genuinely sweet and friendly. They hung out with us with all of our family at the hotel the days prior and it was such a blast. As far as the actual video/photos- they do a absolutely phenomenal job and are so good at calming nerves and making the whole process enjoyable. We went in thinking it would be awkward but by the end she hypes you up so hard you feel like a pro almost immediately haha. The actual day of the wedding Joy and Robert were in our corner all day making sure everything was perfect and going above and beyond their duties. Joy- thank you so much for that, truly. Joy photography was a nightmare to deal with. During the height of the Covid crisis in the dfw area…read morewe had to reschedule our wedding due to local government preventing wedding from being held and our venue was forced to be closed during our date. So we were forced to reschedule and we got our new date that worked for us with the venue and the other vendors however the new date didn't work for Joy, so we were generous and said don't worry about refunding the deposit just keep it because we imagine you have had a lot of cancellations/reschedules and she waited to see if our credit card would be charged for the full payment. However after the lack of communication from Joy (not responding for several days) we froze the credit card that way it wouldn't be charged. Then she tried to come back and tell us that we should move our wedding to a date that worked for her or pay her the remaining balance of the her fees. And we politely mentioned to her that at no fault of our own that we were FORCED to reschedule our wedding and the new date was all that would work for all of the vendors and venue. She demanded yet again that we pay the full amount. And the only reason we got her to understand that we were not going to pay the full amount was because we pointed to her contract (that had unfair contract language that would never stand up in court) and she came back and never apologized or sympathized just simply said I cannot force you to pay.. Joy was very unprofessional she tried to be underhanded and take advantage of us as her customer. I would strongly discourage anyone from signing any contract with Joy because she has unfair contract language and puts you at a disadvantage as a customer.
