Pricing and promos. I came here with my 5yo daughter during a school day off and took advantage of their $15 a person all you can play promo from before noon (11am open) to 4pm. She doesn't reach the 4 feet height requirement so she couldn't do the gravity ropes or laser tag, but we came for bowling anyways. Since we got there shortly after 11am, the line wasn't too long and we got a bowling lane. Bowling shoes are $5, so even with the promo, you still are paying $41 for 2 people. Bowling. Bowling is by the hour NOT game, which I find annoying. They WILL shut down your lane in the middle of a game, and you'll never know who was going to win if you're playing against your friends Or even if you're going for a personal best. UGH, this is probably my biggest complaint. once your hour is done, You can put your name on a waitlist for another lane if you are doing the all you can play. This was bad timing for us because I just ordered lunch, so the waitress had to move our stuff to one of the back tables and deliver our food there. Food. Waitstaff is friendly and helpful. They will even get you water to your table, no charge. This time I ordered the cheese pizza kids meal ($7) and boneless chicken wings ($12) for lunch. I like that their kids' meals are reasonably priced, but then they make us order food too... hm. lol Food was decent, minus the brussel sprouts side which was an extra $2 and just boiled, not fried & crispy like what I was expecting. Next time, maybe just ask for the fruit (orange slices) as a side? Arcade. The promo included a $10 arcade card per person which was 50 credits. Each game is about 7.5 to 10 credits. I thought the Wicked Tuna game gave us the most tickets (40ish) with the least amount of skill & luck. With two $10 cards, we came out with 200 tickets and got a squishy ball and candy. We weren't going for tickets though so I'm sure we could have gotten a little more if we tried and didn't play Mario Kart, but that was her fav game haha. At the redemption center, the attendant can easily combine cards and also add funds back to your card if you hit one of those machines that didn't work. Overall, we spent $30 (with tip) on lunch and $40 on play, so $70 for a mommy daughter play date on a school day off and stayed for about 3-4 hours. Not terrible. In this economy though, it's getting tougher to justify these entertainment visits as it quickly adds up! when really, my kid just wants to play video games . read more

Upon arriving to this Main Event, we were unimpressed by the exterior. This facility in in a strip mall and nothing stands out about it. Looked it up and it was built in 2013. Not terribly old but not new, modern and fresh. A quick stop in the restrooms right inside the doors was a mistake. The place was TRASHED. I MEAN TRASHED!! Paper towels were thrown EVERYWHERE. Gross. We then waited in the ONLY line to purchase our fun card since we only planned to play arcade games.... The line took an eternity and there was only one group in front of us. Numerous times I asked if we could just leave. The lady working the register, who was helping this group, would just leave her post to run to the bar to get drinks for a group that was bowling. Wait time had to be 15 minutes. Anyways, when it was finally our turn, we ask to get a 1-hour arcade card, like we have gotten at every single Main Event we have ever been to... including the last one we visited in San Antonio, just last month. We were informed that they only have credit fun cards. I was blown away because all we have ever gotten were timed ones because we don't need to accumulate points/tokens for their crappy prizes. We just want to play games. Cheapest fun card was 150 credits for $28. According to their website, each game is 5-15 credits. Not worth it in my opinion. We want the timed card instead. Needless to say, we were pretty disappointed and we left. We'll save the rest of our Main Event gift card and use it in San Antonio. The stop here was the biggest waste of time. Probably a good thing we didn't stay. Looked like the place was overrun by a bunch of unsupervised early teens anyways. Probably explains the trashed bathrooms. Witnessed 2 girls pretend sword fighting with pool sticks. We don't need to be around that. read more

Disappointed that when we got the all day pass the girl at the counter automatically charged me for shoe rental even though I had my own bowling shoes and she said she couldn't refund me. Next we only get 1 hour at a time to bowl if you have the all day pass. If there is a wait you have to put your name on the list and wait for for your turn. Today the wait was 3 hours till we could bowl again. Also a lot of the games didn't work. We had to continually ask for refunds for the games we tried to play but didn't work. We ended up just leaving and cutting our date short. Would not recommend this place if you plan on bowling a lot or playing arcade games. read more

Stopped by for a quick drink and snack with the boyfriend. Located in a convenient location with plenty of parking and other shops around. My boyfriend and I ordered a fresh strawberry mojito, blue Hawaiian, and loaded fries. I really enjoyed the mojito because it tasted so fresh. Not to be confused with Maim Event which is when somebody loses a finger here. These places are pretty amazing places to bring your kids, and apparently you can also have adult parties here, which I didn't realize until I saw one going on. In any case it's really great and I was very glad to discover this chain. I've been to the one in Plano, this one, and actually had a kiddie party at one of the other suburban Houston locations recently. They're way more amazing than I ever imagined. Came here for a last minute 18th birthday get-together for my cousin and her closest friends. Didn't get a birthday package, but for a group of 5 the individual event and game card passes worked for what we needed. They ran around and enjoyed themselves while my sister and I sat and ate. The food was good. We had the fried pickles, fried mozzarella dippers, burger slider trio, and chicken tenders. I plan to go back to try the chicken nachos, loaded fries, Parmesan brussel sprouts, pizzas, and burgers to see if they're just as good. The servers were nice (although you have to really look to see who the workers are because they blend and look like the kiddos) and the service was good. Will return for the food. read more

This past weekend we celebrated my son's birthday. I had originally booked the Main Event Birthday Package and had been in contact with the party coordinator, who provided all the necessary details. However, upon arriving for my son's party, I was informed of a change in the location, and we were instead assigned a public table in the general area. This was disappointing and frustrating, especially since I had purchased circle tablecloths, intending to use them for a private room setting. Unfortunately, the table we were provided with was rectangular, which did not accommodate the tablecloths I had brought, which was a waste of money.  Additionally, the party host assigned to our group was very soft-spoken and difficult to locate when we needed assistance. During the setup, we had to request plates, and it seemed the host was reluctant to provide them. There was also a sense of being rushed during the bowling portion of the event. After bowling, we moved on to the pizza, but there was confusion around one of the children at the party having a dairy allergy, I informed the party host of this child's allergy but the party host did not understand the concern and took a great deal of time to let us know they can make a custom slice for this child. Following pizza and cake, it was time for laser tag; however, we were informed of a 48-inch height requirement. Afterward, we proceeded to the gravity ropes, where we were told the same height restriction was applied. This was particularly frustrating, as the children who participated in laser tag were unable to do the gravity ropes as well, which was an activity my son had been especially looking forward to and a part of the birthday package I paid for. I would like to commend Manager John for his assistance during the day. His attitude and demeanor was refreshing and his communication was clear and concise. He was solution based and overall turned a chaotic event into a memorable event for my son birthday. After speaking with him about our experience, he kindly provided my son with a plushie and offered a discount on our party package due to the multiple inconveniences we faced. His efforts were appreciated and helped turn an otherwise chaotic day around. read more

As far as fun goes this place has a lot going on. However .. DO NOT book a birthday party here EVER!! Worst experience I have ever had. We got here and the lady at the front looked clueless. She just stood there with a paper as if she didn't understand what I was saying. I told her we are here for my daughters birthday party and need to set up so what room do we go to. She said I don't know . I told her the party starts in 15 minutes and I have a million bags and cake, etc. and I need to know. I'm not just going to be standing there when people show up. I went to talk to someone who was rude and they told me what room to go to . The room was dark, filthy, wasn't cleaned from party the day before , found fake press on nails all over the floor , and black linens from a banquet they had previously . They didn't think to tell me there are round tables and looks more like a conference room then a birthday party room and decor leftover from the event the night before. I had to scramble to set up the best I could . It was embarrassing . The room was gross and I had spent soo much money and effort on balloons and decor so everything would look perfect and I was so disappointed . We had one party host for 18 kids and for the first 30 minutes of an hour bowling they are getting shoe sizes . My contract said unlimited water and lemonade and drinks where no where to be found. I was running back and forth the entire time getting things for people. Then they move the kids to the room to eat and no food! They were sitting around for 20 minutes and when they brought it out after I was asking over and over it was for a few kids and then another ten minutes a few more kids and so on. I ordered extra food for the adults ( 7 pizzas extra and a slider tray ) . One pizza at a time came out over the next 30 minutes and no sliders. Still no water so I just went and asked anyone I could find to please bring us water . Then we look up at the TV in the room which I didn't notice before because I was too stressed with everything else and there are music videos of women twerking ! Of course we asked them to come and change it . Then it's cake time and I figured a kids party place would have something to cut the cake with because I wasn't going to bring a big knife into the place . The cake was very big and high . They bring me a regular butter knife !!! At this point I had enough and took control although I already was from the beginning . I forgot to mention that the birthday girl was supposed to get a personalized bowling pin. Half way through the party I remembered and went to a random employee and asked . They said just go to the employee office and ask them . I went there and they said if ya it's right here!! Soooo if I didn't remember were you going to give it to us?? Shouldn't it already be in the room or given to the birthday girl not me having to hunt it down in private employee offices???!!! Overall the kids had fun and didn't notice but I'm sure the parents did and I was so embarrassed . This is a complete joke of a place . I still think I was being punked because I can't fathom how something could be so bad. No wonder they let us take our time in the room and didn't kick us out after an hour because they didn't have any other parties needing it . Back in the day it was slammed party after another . I guess other people have had enough of this place too! I hope customer service doesn't bother responding with some generic response saying we are sorry and this is not the experience we want you to have .. blah blah blah.. save it. Clearly by the other reviews on here you don't care and this is the experience you deliver . So please don't bother with lies and nonsense. Honestly this whole place has gone wayyyy down hill. They say they're open till midnight. I got there at 945 with my niece to bowl and play games during spring break. They said it will take 30-45 mins for a lane to be open so we played a couple broken down games (skee ball only had one ball, the basketball game didn't work, the VR one just took points and didn't even start) and then they told us the lane was open around 1020pm but we could only play till 11pm. They never told us we had to stop at 11 when we first bought the 2 hour bowling. By the time we got started it was 1030 and barely had time. Also I thought our lane would be atleast cleaned in between and it was not. So gross seeing peoples left over food and drinks. The service is just unacceptable too. read more

I used to come frequently but after today that won't be happening. I had 2 gift cards for $25 for my kids to redeem a game card for the arcade. I got a receipt that says it was redeemed under the new prices which are $2 more than previous. My kids go and try to use their card and there's no balance. I went back yo the front desk to sort the issue and was given the run around. The kid that did the original transaction tries to remedy the issue and was told to stay out of it by the manager. So I had to run around and get my game card fixed. Long story short, I was ripped off $50! Never coming back to this location. read more

Came here last month for the office Christmas party. We rented out two lanes. The company booked out some bbq for food and we were offer some tea as beverage. The food was banquet style and was decent but nothing to rave home about. There was some bbq chicken, pork ribs and sausages. The sides consisted of coleslaw, Mac and cheese and refried beans. The event was fun but was extremely busy when we were all there. Bowling with the staff was entertaining even though I'm a horrible bowler. Then we got to play some laser tag with each other which was fun especially when we look at the scoreboard to see who did the best. We had play cards for the arcade area but I decided not to join in on that fun. Overall the event was entertaining and was as well organized as it could be for the staff Christmas party. read more

It was my first time to a main event. We went with a pretty big group to go bowling but the lanes were full so we waited for 2 hours to get 3 lanes together. In the meantime we play billiards, which was so fun and then we played lasertag. I wish we could have played the lasertag longer because we had so much fun. We also were planning to do the high ropes but then our lanes became available so we had to skip the high ropes. Everyone in our group had fun bowling. Since none of us were professionals, we didn't really do that well but we had fun and we plan to go back so we could practice more and fellowship more. read more

My dad is a big kid at heart and decided he wanted a last minute birthday get together at main event. The booking process for the private room was smooth and we received everything promised. The food was decent and as expected for arcade food but the service was excellent. The food was replenished as needed without having to ask. After we ate, the bowling lanes were ready for us. While bowling our host continued to check in and made sure we had drinks and everything needed. The experience was enjoyable for everyone and we had a mixed crowd ages 3-85. read more

Many games card swipe dont work - they take credits & the game wont play. Service was not great- all of the workers that my family & i interacted with was not friendly at all, seems like they dont really care about being welcoming or kind. They give no maintenance to their machines, 3 years and they haven't been able to fix the dancing machine.

Worst customer service... There are staff around, but few seem to want to work. They see you standing at the counter waiting to order food or buy tickets and they just look at you or walk away. This happened several times tonight. There are quite a few young people on staff, but there appears to be no leader who can make decisions and give guidance. read more

The service is slow. Tons of kids running in circles. The food was mid. The lemonade tasted powdered. The space just needed to be bigger. They need more of a seperated space for each activity. It could have been way better. Especially for the price. Also I tried several games and some stopped working and took your money. I looked for a floor worker and could not find one. Towels were thrown around the floor I placed two aside due to all of the small children running laps inside the arcade which is their only dedicated space. First off, my experience here was a bit limited given it was 10:30PM on Thursday. I had a craving for shuffleboard, a game which my friend had never played, and this was the only location w nearby with a table. Located conveniently within The Fountains, Main Event certainly has everything for everyone (pool, laser tag, bowling, arcades, etc). I know what it's like to work until midnight on a weekday (not fun) yet the staff couldn't have been nicer. Cleanliness was prevalent throughout the establishment. Moreover, everything was well lit and there were no strange aromas. Didn't get a chance to eat anything and shuffleboard was free of charge. That's enough to push to 4 stars. read more
