The produce and meat departments are always kept well stocked and everything is super fresh. The food from the hot bar is also super yummy! I love the pot roast. Every Friday is Fish Fry Friday. They also have a large variety of Boars Head Meats in the deli and have sales on the meats every Tuesday. They make the best cakes too! Mike, the owner, is a great guy and is in the store daily working right along side his employees. I've often seen him stocking shelves, working a register or assisting customers. The store is clean and well kept, and every register is open so there are no long waits. Keep a look out for Mike's truckload meat sale. It happens twice a year and is a great time to stock up!!

I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. I later learned that it's a Shell gas station IGA grocery store hybrid. It looks very unassuming from the outside, but it's almost bordering on a gourmet grocery (or gourmet for the area). I visited mostly for the restrooms, which they don't have many of (only two stalls), but it's fine. Walking around, they have aisles of groceries -- almost everything you could need. They also have a frozen section, a "beer cave," lots of snacks for the road, coffee and other stuff. There's also a chicken restaurant inside, with lots of tables to sit and eat there. The store was clean and very organized, and it was a pleasant experience to visit.
