I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. Being 250 miles from home, knowing nobody in the area and needing to be in the Twin Cities the next day, financially and logistically we looked to be between a rock and a hard place. We wanted to spend a day in Red Wing, but we had tickets and hotels that could not be cancelled w/o losing our money if we didn't show in St. Paul the next night. Renting a car was very difficult logistically, out of Red Wing. Especially since the weekend was approaching. Enter, Siewert's Towing. They towed our broken down vehicle and gave us a ride to our hotel about 10 miles away. Knowing our situation, they made no promises but said they'd do what they could. Beyond staffing and other issues of an unscheduled repair, there were parts to obtain. The work took all of Friday to complete, but it wasn't an easy job. Siewert's even gave us a ride to the one attraction we had planned on seeing in Red Wing, while we waited for the work to be done. By late afternoon, they brought us back to the shop and sent us on our way. Their work and pricing was honest and great. The car runs as it should. These are just the type of folks you pray to meet if you are far from home with a broken down car and don't know what to do! We will be forever grateful!
