Seasoned fries are over seasoned, but tater tots are great. Upcharge for sweet potato fries and tater tots seems unnecessary, especially for what you are paying for your entree. Got Uber eats, I have ordered this chili. I don't know how many times I have ordered it....usually get a full cup of it. I don't even know what this was or if they tried to do this as a joke or what but I'm not very happy. This chili was six dollars. It wasn't even one big spoon out of a crockpot and it was cold when it got here. I know food prices have gone up as well as the cost of items, but I have learned to value less than here today. Very slow service. once seated took 20 minutes to get a drinks just ok appetizers that took again 20 minutes dinner was an ok veggie burger pita bread margarita again just ok and I had a small over priced spicy hot chix noodle soup. a half pear salad which if you see the pictures below was really a cranberry cheese salad with maybe 3-4 very thin fresh pear slices the size of a quarter that was over flowing with balsamic vinegar. very disappointed not sure I will go back anytime soon! read more

This is a pub with ok tasting bar food. Quality- the pear salad didn't have much special about it. There was barely any pear or other fruit in it so it lacked sweetness. There was also way too much blue cheese so it overpowered the salad. The soup was not bad but was too salty. The burger was a miss. It was supposed to be medium rare but it came out well done. The toppings on the burger are pretty standard and fries are quite soggy when it comes out. Quantity- expected a bit more for the price. Atmosphere- typical bar atmosphere. The good: There was no wait for a table, the day after Christmas. We were welcomed in by the host immediately and offered a choice of high or low table. We opted for low and a friendly waitress came back right away to bring menus. She came by quickly for our drink orders. The drink menu was fairly large for beers on tap and they had some drinks that were not too expensive that were unique. Menu had a large amount of decent choices. The meh: The food, although the portions were good sized, the flavor was lacking. All three of our burgers were very dry, even my husband's who was supposed to be medium rare. My son's was overcooked, closer to well. The truffle fries didn't have much flavor, as did the sweet potato fries. And everything seemed very overpriced for what we received. We've eaten at another restaurant in town that had excellent burgers and truffle fries, was upscale and was still less expensive. Unfortunately, it's changed. Been here many times but it's now at least $40 per person (before tip) for a burger and two drinks... unreal! Not making this up... $10 beers and $20 burgers... then add tax and tip and you're at over $50 to grab a bite at this bar. Also, they had a special event with a smart TV giveaway and I watched them ignore nearly all the eligible patrons during the selection process and then give the award to the head server's close friend (heard them talk about it)... bad stuff here... too bad since it had always been an enjoyable place to visit. read more

I stopped in Sunday early evening, the atmosphere was lively with nfl football games going and they have RedZone, that's a plus! I was seated immediately with a view of many TV's. My server Britney was very nice and attentive. I started with the French onion soup, it was delicious and flavorful. I stopped to try one of their famous burgers, I was starving so unfortunately I picture. I had the "Diablo" cooked medium rare, it too was delicious, juice and filled with spicy flavors. We have been going to Main St Pub for years, and honestly, after tonight, we will never go back. We have seen the service go down each time we've been there, but we keep hoping it's going to get better. Tonight we went there and sat for over 15 minutes with no drinks or anyone even stopping at the table. After 10 minutes, a waitress walked by with drinks stating that she would be with us soon. Then she managed to help every table around us, who were sat after us, while we sat ignored. We finally ended up leaving, telling the hostess that we just couldn't wait anymore. Instead of grabbing another server or the manager, the hostess just said "Oh, ok" and turned around to grab our menus off the table. Keep in mind we were sitting right next to the hostess stand, so they were clearly aware we were not being helped. As we walked out, we saw the waitress who was supposed to help us, at the table taking orders for a table that we watched be sat right before we left. It's just a sad thing when a local restaurant just falls so short. read more

The best place for burgers In the western suburbs. I've tried almost all of their 20 different burgers and they were all great! Service here is always excellent by Brandon and my wife and daughter love their fried pickles! Their beers are great too with a decent craft beer selection. We moved to the area this summer and have wanted to try Main Street Pub but thanks to the construction we hadn't been able to during the good weather! The service is always terrible. It's actually remarkable how consistently bad it is. And I am not joking when I say the bartenders are the rudest people to walk the earth. Like the sheer audacity people have ordering drinks from the bar. The food is not good enough to deal with their completely unnecessary entitlement. The Main Street Pub is a great restaurant in Downtown Glen Ellyn. As you walk, you immediately notice the many TVs that can be seen anywhere in the bar. They have a nice beer selection with about twenty different ones on tap from all over, but I choose one of the red wines from Washington. Service is fast and friendly. We had our drink order quickly and then I picked one of the burgers from a list of about twenty. They also had some non-burger choices, but I highly recommend the burgers. I had the bulleit bourbon, medium rare, on the house bun (which was excellent). It is a half pound of Angus beef cooked just perfect with swiss, arugula, bacon, fried onions, and this bourbon glaze. It was outstanding, the flavors of the beef with the cheese and glaze was just amazing. My family also really loved their burgers--although I was the only one the finished. A great burger joint is always a necessity on my restaurant rotation. I don't have too many that I like, but MSP is definitely going on my list of regulars. I don't know how I've managed to avoid this place for so long. I ordered the fried pickle burger and my husband ordered the heart attack burger. Both were awesome. I mean, look at those photos! I'm definitely ordering the heart attack burger next time, because I took a bite of my husband's and it was fantastic. Truffle fries were great, outdoor seating was great, and service was great. This is one of my all-time favorite burger places! The prices are fair and the portions are perfect. Every time I come here, I always end up ordering the Bulleit Bourbon burger. I've been wanting to try other things from their menu but I keep coming back to my favorite! I always ask for extra sauce on the side. The food is absolutely amazing. I also really love their Truffle fries. They are very generous with the parmesan and it's perfect! It's also very easy to switch out an ingredient or two upon request. The staff is always polite! Since this is downtown, parking can be a bit difficult but thankfully this location is on the corner so the walk isn't too bad. The ambiance is nothing spectacular but they have numerous screens all around the room. I have noticed, however, that often the tables are a bit sticky so I always have to wipe down my area before eating. Masks are required upon entry but I have noticed that some employees who are off to the side working on a table do not wear masks. I hope they enforce their mask policy more. There is outdoor seating available but we chose indoor seating because there were less people inside. I recommend coming at an off hour when it's less busy! I come here a lot and have generally great things to say! I did however try curbside take out from this restaurant and did not have the best experience. The food tasted strange and my usual favorite was not good at all. I also called beforehand to ask for a special order and they assured me everything was set. When I came home, it was not there. From then on, I decided to only eat here in person as my take out experience was really poor. But I promise you, as long as you eat in person you will not be disappointed! The food is absolutely delicious and it's a great place to hang out with friends and family. There are so many burger options- there's something for everyone here. read more

Visited here for a Monday night football game *spoiler alert: Packers won the NFC North* and was very surprised & impressed! We actually were downtown to visit a different restaurant, and once we realized they were closed- we found this place nearby and are glad we did! We got there just before the place filled up, so we had a nice cozy table in a front corner and our server did an excellent job keeping an eye on us. I ordered their vegetarian quinoa patty and my husband had a regular beef patty and we both LOVED our meals!
