After the guy I trusted moved his shop out of the city and to an inconvenient location, I flailed about for a couple years, taking my car to various places and always feeling like I was basically getting screwed. I would get diagnoses that demanded extremely expensive repairs, which I would agree to, then the repair wouldn't fix the symptoms. Or I'd go somewhere for an inspection and be told I needed an extremely unusual and expensive repair in order to pass, then take it somewhere else and they'd say it was fine: pass! Once I had a guy try to upsell me iridium spark plugs by literally telling me that if I didn't buy the vastly more expensive iridiums I might as well not even change the plugs. So it was with great pleasure I brought my car in here with what I was pretty sure was a serious brake problem. The awful grinding was far beyond what you'd expect from just worn pads or rotors. When I was informed that it all needed replaced, I wasn't terribly surprised, the price was not unreasonable, and the work was done quickly. The next time I had a car issue involved my ABS acting very strangely. What I assume was a pump or something refused to shut off when I shut off my engine. I thought it odd, but figured it was just busy doing something and surely it would shut itself off. Well, it didn't, and the next morning the battery was completely dead. It wouldn't jump and I couldn't even get it to push start, so I had it towed in, dreading the probable reality that I'd have to replace the entire (expensive!) ABS module. Turns out, they couldn't duplicate the problem. There were no codes. They charged the battery and I was on my way. They could have easily told me I needed a new ABS module, and I have a feeling most of the garages I've dealt with would have. I am from Knob Noster, and my family has a mechanic that they always go to because he is trustworthy and always gives us the best deal he can. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a trustworthy place to take my car when I moved to Columbia. This spring I took in my old clunker car that needed about fifty things done to it, but I told them I was only worried about the muffler. They did not try to push any other repairs on me, and they knew I was tight for cash so they told me I could go with a one-year warranty muffler to save money, since my car wasn't going to last all that much longer. So when I bought a much newer car this summer, I knew that I could trust them with anything that isn't covered on my warranty. Their prices are fantastic and their service is speedy and trustworthy. Great service! Took the car because the air conditioning wasn't blowing. They fixed the blower and all was well. The next day no cool air again. Called them right away and took it straight back in. An o-ring blew abs the Freon ran out in the ground. Since it was just in, they fixed it for free! And are going to double check it on Friday just to be sure that is all that is wrong! Great place to come. The owner and his wife get things taken care of very fast. I walked in asking for a inspection on my 2017 Ford F-150 and was in right away. The owner Brad came out to talk straight to me about what was needed and got it priced. Everything was done very neatly and my truck wasn't damaged one bit. They will keep me updated when I need an air filter change, or tune up, as well as letting me know when tire tread is getting low. Bought an exhaust for my 2017 Mustang GT, had some issues installing it myself and so i dropped it off and they had it done within a few hours and fixed the mediocre job I did myself. Price was very inexpensive aswell! I'll be back for future mods! read more
