Enjoy a yummy cappuccino and tasty baked goods without being reamed for all your coins. Sit outside and enjoy people watching but be careful of the pigeons

This was right outside our B&B so we decided to try it for breakfast. The homemade pastries smelled like heaven! We ordered espresso and Panini's, interesting choice for breakfast but they were fresh out of the oven and smelled amazing. I had the proscuitto, arugula, and mozzarella panini. It was perfection! The fresh bread set the tone and the toppings just added to its wonderful flavor. My husband had the ham and cheese panini. He also loved his and said the cheese was extremely fresh also! We loved Majer and the service was fantastic and very attentive!

    Cappuccino €1.40

Majer gets 5 stars for: service, taste, friendliness, variety, and value. Their cappuccino was €1.40, most (about 75%) of the desserts were €1.40 each. I tried the fruit tart, macaroons, cheesecake, and kajuple chocolate cake... All were amazeballs!!! The server was super nice serving us minutes before they were closing. Even though it was almost time to close, she made us cappuccinos and used a real cup when she could have used a "take away" cup to keep us moving. She was the best ever!!! Thank you!!! Try everything here to prove me wrong about my 5 star rating =). Your punishment for doing that will be 10kg of extra happiness... In your belly! Enjoy!!!

Rice tart and something very plain.

Researched over and over before deciding to come to Majer. Not a whole lot of pastry selections, it's a mix between patisserie (tarts and such), pizza and gelato. The place is small. Probably only enough for 4 people (standing). I got the rice tart and something else.. Can't put my finger on the name. There wasn't enough room for me to eat there so I took it to go. By the time I got home -probably 3 hours after- the paper bag that contained said pastries were soaked through with grease. Still eager to try them regardless. Plated and pictures taken. Disappointment in both. Rice tart was like rice pudding tart with dried up rice. Tart crust had flavor but wasn't fresh enough, a bit too soft/soggy. The rice needed to sit longer in the custard. The other thing was so flavorless I can't even tell you what it tasted like. Texture's ok the first two seconds chewing it then it gets too dry. I won't return even if everyone says it's the best bakery in Venice.

I loved this bright cafe - we found it after getting majorly lost in the streets of Venice. The reason I love this place is because it was the only cafe I'd found on the island (I'm sure there are others) that offered coffee and desserts at the "right" price. No overpriced 4 Euro cappucinos here! Good coffee and a good price. Lovely service (a wonderful lady delivered our coffee and desserts). AMAZING selection of bread and desserts.

Espresso & a small chocolate cake

This was the first bakery we found in Venice and we loved it. But then we found more bakeries and they were even better. This one is small and they don't do the baking here. We went twice and not all pastries are equal in deliciousness. The chocolate cake was just weird. I love their tarts' crust though. But again, there's others in walking distance (everything in venice is walking distance). But! If it's late at night and you don't want to seek out another place, go here. It'll be pleasant.

The amazing chef who made the best food, played great music, and answered our questions.

This place is amazing and the prefect destination for local deliciousness. We met the guy from Australia who is very passionate about his food and it shows. Everything we had we loved and the wine is great. We love him and highly recommend you stop by.

Nice place to sit down and get away from the hustle and bustle of the plaza. As most places has a great place to sit. This place had great selection of deserts, great tea's and other drinks..... it also has great toilet, comparing to other places I've been, unfortunately it doesn't offer internet.....

    Tiramisu, cannoli, and pineapple cupcake.

Very rude staff. Heard multiple patrons talk about how staff made them uncomfortable. Find a different place,

Scam artists. It says prosecco is 2.50 on a big sign outside but they charge you 3.50 if you sit outside. Bread is stale too. Stay away!!!

Tonight I ventured over to Osteria dei Sapori for dinner. I had walked past this place a few times…read moreover the last few days and finally decided to give it a try. Their outdoor seating area is spacious and every time I passed by it was packed. That's usually a pretty good sign that the food is worth the stop. Now one thing I still haven't found anywhere in Italy is good old Southern hospitality. I guess that's expected since I'm a long way from the good ole USA South. But I'm adjusting, and honestly I came here for the food, not warm welcomes and waiters calling me "darlin'." I ordered a Coca-Cola because as a certified water snob, I'm still searching for that magical glass of water over here. For dinner I ordered the Spaghetti allo Scoglio. Sounds fancy, right? If you know Italian, I'm sure it does. I was just thankful the menu also said "spaghetti with seafood" underneath it so I didn't accidentally order octopus eyeballs or something. When the dish hit the table it looked like Michelangelo himself had snuck into the kitchen and started plating pasta instead of painting ceilings. I grabbed the fork, rolled the pasta onto the spoon like a seasoned Italian for about three seconds, and took a bite. Bam. There it is boys. The best pasta dish I've had since touching down on this foreign land. The sauce was hot, creamy, and cooked to perfection. The seafood was fantastic and every bite was loaded with flavor. This dish absolutely hit the 5 mark for food quality. I'm giving the overall experience 4 stars because I had to ask for bread and they're still lacking that Southern hospitality touch. But the food was excellent, the outdoor seating was great, and this is definitely a place I may find myself back at again before leaving Venice.

Don't walk run away from this place, they are a disgrace to the Italian community the people in…read moreVenice should rise up to have them shut down. Sad meatballs.lunch room chicken cutlets and frozen pizza I'm sure prison food is better than this...
