Everything went well. Dan and his crew were here on time worked hard and the result is amazing. He exceeded my expectations so much that my neighbor across the street hired him to replace the garage apron on his house. We are both delighted with the finish and the quality of his work. We had several quotes to replace our driveway in Edwardsville, IL including one from Majestic Concrete. A guy named Danny came out and spoke with me. Super nice guy who explained the process to me (I know nothing about concrete). He explained to me that he had a good amount of worked lined up and it would take up to 6 weeks to get to my driveway. We were in no rush so I agree that the wait wouldn't be an issue. A couple weeks early Danny called us and said he was caught up and would like to get our project done. His crew came out, (I think he works with his son) and they were able to tear out the old driveway and frame up the new one in a day. The next day they poured the new driveway. Smooth with no hassles. Danny's workmanship is great and you can tell he knows what he is doing. It's been 5 years this summer and the driveway Majestic poured for us still looked amazing. I would hire Danny again in a heartbeat if I needed anymore work. We recommended him anytime we run into anyone that needs work. read more

I've given Danny three jobs at my house: new garage slab, new driveway, and resurfaced front porch. He works alone or with his son, so it takes a bit more time to complete. But concrete needs time to cure anyway, so you had better not be in a rush to use it. And, if your experience is like mine, you'll realize a hefty savings over bigger companies employing large crews. read more

I contacted Danny through Home Advisor. I needed a new driveway, porch and sidewalk as the old concrete was a mess and water leaked into my basement. Danny, his son and several workers showed up within 2 weeks, and the finished job is absolutely beautiful! I love it. They were able to slope the driveway (which wasn't done on the old concrete), and the total cost for all work was beyond reasonable. All the workers were super nice too. On 9/3/17 I used Homeadvisor.com to find a contractor to replace my driveway. I read reviews that sounded good for Majestic Concrete therefore I contacted them via facebook the same day. I was told someone would call me on 9/5/17. On 9/7/17 I heard from Danny's son who was only able to answer half my questions therefore we set up a meeting for Danny to meet me in person. During Danny's visit he gave me a verbal quote, I received an email from Danny on 9/15/17 with the price again and a vague outline of the work. I had to put the project on hold therefore I contacted Danny via email on 5/29/18 asking if the price was the same and how far out his scheduling was. I received an email back on 5/31/18 indicated that the price was the same and they were scheduling 4 weeks out. I copied the scope of work out of email into a word document to formalize a contract since Danny did not supply any sort of official contract, everything in the contract was from the email and what we discussed. The couple of items that were not in his email that I added to the contract that we spoke about in person was 1.) he would be insured an provide evidence, 2.) the work would be performed to city code and 3.) he would have the utilities marked before ripping out the old driveway in order to avoid not hitting them. I emailed the contract to him on 6/4/18 (2 business days later after his last email), he responded to my email next morning stating I would like to do business with you Charles, but I have enough work right now. Thanks anyway. I sent him a reply an hour later stating When would be a better time, we are in no huge rush. The other day you indicated that you were about 4 weeks out. He then replied stating I have plenty of work close to home. The address for Majestic concrete is only 25 minutes from my home, I believe he turned down the work when I put in writing on what he needed to do such as performing the work to city code, being insured and having the utilities marked. I am probably lucky that I was smart with formatiing a contract opposed to using a simple email hat he sent. This probably saved me some troubles. read more
