My wife and I were treated to a two night stay at the Majestic Toscanelli as part of a business trip. We came to Padova after an incredible stay at the Urban Hotel in Trieste, Italy.
I must saw we were not impressed. Right from the beginning the staff at the check in was not welcoming, nor friendly, frankly. The junior suite was nice, clean but dated. Lighting was poor. Each time we went in and out of the hotel we were never greeted with a welcoming "good morning" or "good afternoon" and at check out we were just told the bill was all settled. We left with the distinct impression that hotel does not need our business and we will surely take it elsewhere in our next visit to the nice city of Padova.
The breakfast was disappointing; scrambled eggs looked reheated, boiled eggs were left out overnight, milk was overly warm,... The only bright spot were the cleaning and serving staff who were a pleasure to talk to and made our stay comfortable. read more
