The most unprofessional company I've dealt with in a long time. I contacted Magestic Tree Service for an estimate to replace two city-required trees under strict deadlines imposed by the city. The representative came out, looked at the property, and assured me they could get the work done quickly and would send over a quote shortly. After that -- nothing. No quote, no follow-up, no response. I understand if a company is too busy or simply doesn't want to take on a job. But ghosting customers, especially when they are dealing with city deadlines and potential penalties, is extremely unprofessional. A simple "we're not interested" or "we can't take this on" would have been far more respectful of my time. read more

I had these guys out 3 years ago to prune my monster mulberry tree and was pretty satisfied with them, but wished they'd been a little more aggressive in their pruning. (My fault for not speaking up at the time!) Called them back in February, Ollie came the same day, took a look, and recommended we wait till August or September to do the pruning. Late August Jonathan came out to reassess; as a trained arborist he explained the best practice is to prune back 20%, but they could do more if I wanted. He showed up this morning with Team Kevin and we agreed on 'a little' more aggressive pruning. Kevin and his team did a fantastic job, they did exactly what I wanted, made a few modifications at my request, were incredibly careful controlling where the large branches fell, and left the yard spotless. I did not get any other estimates as I'd done previously; I chose Majestic because I wanted a skilled arborist to assess, and I felt comfortable with his thoroughness and patience with all my questions and his suggestions how best to proceed. I had Majestic trim and clean up and trim a number of trees in a large hillside in backyard of my home in Los Gatos; the trees had grown in an undeveloped area and were untouched since I'd moved into the house seven years ago. Most of these trees were decades-old, including a big oak tree, and had tons of dead branches and overgrown areas that were causing several trees to start leaning dangerously. It was a two day job and Majestic did great work. The professionalism was top-notch; for example, they preemptively chose not to park their big truck with the wood chipper in my driveway for fear it might damage the driveway pavers due to the weight of the truck. I think the pavers could probably have taken the weight but they erred on the safer side, which I appreciated. This also required them to drag all of the branches down the driveway to the street (about 100 feet). And after the first day, there were a ton of small branches and pieces of trees all over the place, but they cleared all of it so the entire work area and driveway were basically spotless. A lot of services would not have bothered to do that since they were coming back to continue the work the next day; the fact that Majestic took that extra step is a very good indication of the quality of this business. read more

I had to review the timestamps on these pictures... We were having paver work done in our backyard and needed to remove 6 unkempt cypress trees and one yucca tree. The crew had this whole ultra well tuned systematic process where they chainsawed the trees, and threw it in the chipper. First tree started at 3:23 and the last tree was gone by 3:31!!!
