My son had a terrible experience at their summer camp. He still refers to it as "torture camp." He was punished for being unable to read and was relegated to playing video games all day. We spent hundreds of dollars for him to sit and play video games? He also said he overheard the adults speaking derisively about him because of his inability to read/keyboard. We were never told that only readers were welcome at this camp and were extremely disappointed by what we thought would be a great experience. read more

This is a hidden gem in Eldorado. We visit Santa Fe a few times a year and we've done the Children's Museum to death. Luckily we found this place. They have tons of Legos, Duplos, board games, art supplies, and computer games (including Minecraft and Animal Jam). Ceramics are coming soon. Simon, the owner, is great with kids and obviously enjoys his job. If your child is 7 or older, you can drop them off. The other kids playing here were very sweet and friendly, and my kids had a great time. There's also a nice coffee shop next door. We bought a package deal and will definitely be returning! read more

We are a Maker Space for kids. Our classes/camps explore everything from fine art to robotics to coding. Our activities are appropriate for kids 7+ years old. We specialize in small groups with lots of individual attention.

History

Established in 2017.

I'm a former science teacher and summer camp director. We saw a need for a place for kids to make friends and learn about creating with technology as well as traditional media.

Meet the Business Owner: Simon B.

Simon is both the owner and operator of Make Time. Most (99%) of the activities at Make Time were developed by Simon. After 20 years of teaching, designing curriculum and creating summer camps for institutions (like Houston Museum of Natural Science), Simon decided to open his own small education oriented business. Make Time is the result of that endeavor.
