The food tasted like homey comfort food that your grandma would make. The Jian Bing was very light even though it looked very huge to eat. The coconut rice in the Nasi Lemak was so delicious and you can smell and taste the coconut flavor. The fried chicken was crispy. This restaurant is quite small and there are not that many tables for patrons. It's best to come in pairs. The biggest table you can get is probably a table for four people. Overall, the food is delicious here and I highly recommend this place. I can't wait to comeback again one day.

Char koay teow had a little of that wok hei. We enjoyed the greens without sambal. And the roti was the cross between crispy and soft. The curry dipping was delicious, but a little too thin and runny for me, mostly as I suspect it is also used for the curry noodle soup base. Space is small so make a reservation. Signs say they take cash only, but they do allow cards. Family owned and run.

The food is excellent, they have English menus for us tourists, they're affordable, and they have a nice beer list and plenty of tables -- making them maybe unique among Surinamese places. It is helpful to make a reservation, but if you didn't ... they have a lot of tables, and many turn over fast, so get in line and wait, you'll get a table eventually. They have a really good selection of vegetarian dishes, so much that you won't feel restricted at all. Spice levels are moderate, so if you're a pepper-head, order some sambal on the side. Do order some of the side dishes; I'm especially fond of the bara and the teloh with salt cod and peanut sauce. Warning, though: Surinamese food uses nuts heavily, so do not go here if you have a nut allergy.

My kids asked and they didn't offer it as required by Dutch law for places that serve alcohol. 2. They didn't ask if we had any allergies. Abnormal for Europe. 3. There were items on the menu that they didn't have anymore. 4. The waitress couldn't tell us anything about the food or drinks. 5. Lastly to pay, I had to go to the bar. It was busy and I was in the way while I waited to pay.
