Went to long beach for the weekend and this was right in front of our restaurant. We ordered chicken fried rice, pad thai, and malai noodles. The fried rice was SOOOO good, I couldn't stop eating it. Just kept snacking on it all night, and for breakfast. Thefriendrice had a really unique taste I can't describe, really savory and addicting. Nothing compares to their fried rice. Everything we ordered was delicious but the crab and shrimp fried rice was THE BEST I've ever had - enormous quantities of fresh crab and perfectly cooked shrimp. I was happily surprised by our meal here. The sauce was fragrant and there was a slight lemon grass taste that made the food seem light and very tasty. The service was quick and the waitstaff seemed genuinely pleased we were there. I did not expect to find palatable Thai food in Warrenton but we were tired of seafood and had a craving. Exceptional food. Service somewhat lacking. We felt that the servers lack of understanding English was the problem with the service. We ordered appetizers and she grabbed the menus and walked away. One of the people in our party of 5 had to run and chase her down. She returned with the appetizers and then took are order. Labor Day in Long Beach left few dinner dining choices, so we elected to try Malai Thai for take-out. My daughter had the veggie fried rice, my wife had the peanut curry, and I had the chicken Panang with an extra side of jasmine rice and a side of veggie rolls. All were quite good, including the peanut sauce on my Panang dish, but the start of the show was the peanut curry; silky and divine. Proportions were remarkable and we were like "guess we have leftovers," but it was so good we roared through it all. Very pleased with the meal and kudos to the staff for delivering high quality food under stress. As one of the few open restaurants at the time, they were quite busy. We may go back before our camping trip is over, perhaps for the lunch special next time. Small ding for staff not actually wearing their masks, just dangling them from one ear. 4.5 stars if I could give it. read more

These are all manageable - but the constant confusion and chaos makes it untenable, particularly on weekends. If they could figure out a good ordering and pickup system it could work. Thai food with no flavor? Yes, it does exist, I struggled on how many stars to give this Thai restaurant. I will never eat there again, so that usually gets a 1 start review. But I finally gave in and added a second because 2 of the 3 dishes could be made edible by adding hot sauce at the table. We had pot stickers, pad thai and massaman curry. The pot stickers were ok, but I needed to cover it with soy and hot sauce to enjoy them. Normally with Thai food, they will ask how spicy you want it. Not here. You get delivered very mild and have to spoon on your own hot sauce. That worked ok for the pad thai, but not curry. I took the serving spoon full of the sauce and drank it and I could not taste any curry, It was colored water. If you don't like any spice in your food, this is your place. The food is good, but I feel compelled to warn people ordering takeout. I ordered 2 small appetizers (salad rolls and chicken satay), and was told my order would be ready in 20 minutes. I showed up after 20 minutes, then waited another 40 minutes at the restaurant. I'm sure the salad rolls are pre-made, so that is 1 hour for chicken satay. While I was waiting I heard several other people talking who were in the same position as me. I heard the woman who was working take 10+ phone orders while I was waiting, and each time she told them 20 or 30 minutes, while the lobby was full of people who had been waiting longer than that for their food. Probably the most frustrating takeout experience I've ever had, the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because the food is decent when you finally get it, but I will not returning to this restaurant read more

This restaurant is a new addition to Long Beach. I came in for lunch while working in the area. While the service was fast, and the food excellent, the atmosphere was a little sterile. We've recently moved to the area and just stopped for a quick dinner. Had I known that I would enjoy the food here, I would have moved sooner! The sauces were rich with coconut creme and the curry was hot and sublimely flavorful. The onions and peppers must have been grown hydroponically in the back they were so fresh. The Thai Tea was, naturally, lovely and I actually had to conserve it to put out the occasional flavor fire in my mouth. I will definitely go back for more. Hope to see you there! read more
