I had some time to kill so as I was passing by, I thought I would try a 30 minute neck and shoulder massage. As I didn't have an appointment, the receptionist was really helpful and said that if I popped by in 15 minutes they could fit me in. When I came back, the beautician came over and started talking to me. Lovely lady, she's been working in beauty for years so she really knows her stuff. Although the massage itself didn't completely get rid of the pain in my shoulder (I think I actually needed a proper sports massage) it did relax me and my muscles. Even though I'd never been there before she really made me feel at home and almost like I had been a customer for years.

I opted to have a neck and shoulder massage, and it was lovely and painful all at once. The lady told me she was surprised at how painful I was finding it - but that it might have something to do with 'a buildup of crystals' in my arms. I have no idea what this means, and partially put it down to some kind of hippy stuff, though the salon itself feels quite upmarket when you're inside and not at all hippyish. The shop is not huge but it is extremely well kept inside and they have everything needed to make your beauty treatment seem like a little luxurious treat. They obviously do a lot of nails as there was a large choice of varnish colours to pick from. The lady that did both of our pedicures did a brilliant job. We went in with not great looking feet to be honest (more my Mom than me!) and came out with twinkle toes. They have a great knack of ensuring the varnish will withstand anything and lasts a long time. Wonderfully, our feet looked just as great at the end of our break away as they did on the plane out. All for £16 each which we thought was a real bargain. They also provide facials, waxing, tanning, massages and treatments for men.

I went here with a friend of mine to get our nails manicured for an award ceremony with work. She…read morelives close by so goes here regularly. I don't tend to have my nails manicured because I normally just file and paint them myself. However, as it was a special occasion I decided to treat myself. The lady took my previous nail varnish off and filed my nails into the desired shape. Next she soaked my fingers in a bowl of solution. This softened my cuticles before the woman used a tool to remove them. I was really impressed at what happened next as the lady gave me a hand and arm massage. I'd never had one before but it was so relaxing I didn't want it to end! The woman didn't speak much but the experience was excellent and my nails looked better than ever.

I have visited here with female members of my family and they always seem pleased with the service and the price they pay for the privilege. They certainly seem to offer a wide range of services and to be perfectly honest I had no idea that there was so much to be done with people's nails! They even offer a service called air brush design, all part of the ethos in this establishment that nails can be turned into miniature works of art. I'm no expert when it comes to this particular area of life but from what I have seen the people at Nail Bar seem to be doing an excellent job.
