Sept 2024- this is a huge mall with tons of stores and good options for restaurants. We were staying at the Sheraton Santiago so this mall was a convenient 20 minutes walk. We visited the Jumbo grocery store on the bottom floor for all our basic needs. They have a wide selection of American brand stores like GAP, old navy & Starbucks and also their own department stores like Ripley (similar to a Macys). This mall does have a small souvenir kiosk on the very bottom floor where we found key chains and magnets. Other than that there were no other stores we could find that sold Chile souvenirs. The restrooms were clean also. At the food court area, the workers would wipe the tables and empty the full trash bins. They were working efficiently. No matter your budget, you can find something reasonable. For Uber, the pick up spot is near the Hard Rock Cafe entrance. read more

This is a huge mall in the newer part of Santiago. We stayed in the old part so it's several metro stops away and about 3 miles. Took and uber there and walked back - the walk is not boring as you are on big streets and there's always something to see be it restaurants, shops or parks. The mall has 6 levels and the top is the viewing deck. We gave that a pass as it costs close to $20/pp and overhead views are just overrated. You can see the view of the city when you fly in and out of Santiago and also from Santa Lucia Hill closer to the old part of town and is free (although not as high up). Anyway it's interesting to see the contrast of the newer richer part of town in comparison with the old part. Otherwise the mall just has some huge supermarkets, mostly clothing stores and a very expansive food court with the familiar fast food chains and restaurants. We ended up having a late lunch at Crepe Cafe which is not bad (the food, some staff not so much). The food court has a lot of seating including outdoors although in the afternoon it's sunny on the terrace so can be very hot in summer But would be great in winter. read more

This may be the best mall I have ever encountered. It is massive. There is a fantastic Jumbo grocery store on the main level. And an entire floor focused on food. That floor has a huge food court and tons of restaurants. There is also outdoor seating by the food court. If you are craving it, you will find it here. read more

It was exactly what I expected when I saw it had so many people and options. I purchased my groceries and left because it felt a bit overwhelming and crowded. The service at the counter was okay. I ordered a cooked meal but I noticed after leaving one of my items was not included. The selection were not labeled well to understand so I tried to asked but the staff was not patient and rushed me to make a selection. I also feel the food prices were okay and not worth the value of the meal. My review is all based on Jumbo store and nowhere else. read more

This mall is MASSIVE. Throw in a rollercoaster and you almost have Mall of America. There are 6 floors filled with everything you can imagine including a grocery store on the floor level. Books, candy, geek shops, you name it, they have it. When entering, you are temperature checked and given hand sanitizer. However, that doesn't do much when the mall is extremely packed and you're walking past people in close quarters...it's for the illusion, I get it. The mall is overwhelming and you can easily get lost if it weren't for the escalators all being together so you don't have to wrap around the mall to get to the next one. The design makes sense although it's very busy and over stimulating. The food court is near the top and that goes as far as the eye can see. I only came to the mall to visit Sky Costanera which is also on the floor level. I would have liked to visit the grocery store but I don't like crowds so I skipped the rest of the mall. Do keep your belongings near you...way too many people here. read more

This is an awesome mall! It has great architecture with high open skylights that let in the natural light. With several floors, all divided up in useful groupings - women's clothing, men's clothing, household, electronics, food court at the top; it was easy to find what you were looking for. If you've come to Santiago for winter clothes shopping or came to ski the mountains but forgot to bring skipants, this is the place for you. They have an entire level for sports equipment and everything from brand names like the NorthFace, Mammut, Addidas, to lesser known local names. If you come at the end of winter season, you can find some awesome deals with the seasonal clothes going on sale. Also, if you are interested in a skyline view of the city, you have to access the largest tower in South America from inside this mall on the bottom floor. read more

The tallest mall in all of Latin America. The Costanera Center makes shopping a long a fun adventure. In Santiago they call it the "choclo" as it stands like a large piece of corn, just another thing to add to it's charm. You can get just about anything here. The bottom floor has a Jumbo (my favorite super market in Santiago) the middle floors are made up of wine, clothing, sport, candy, book, and card stores. Really you can find just about anything at the Costanera Center. The top floor is filled with many fast food restaurants, and the top top floor is a huge movie theater. You can buy your goodies and then head up for the late show. There is also an outside patio where all the food restaurants are and you have the choice of eating outside. The only problem with the Costanera Center is that is it sooooooo big. It can be overwhelming having so many choices and stores to choose from that you honestly don't know where to start. read more

Santiago, Chile I just spent January 2015 in Chile. La Serena, Viña del Mar, and Santiago. While in Santiago I had occasion to patronize the Mall Costanera. WOW ! What a great landmark ! The building is 980 feet tall ( 300 meters ). It is reportedly the tallest building in Latin America. When walking around Providencia you can't miss it, just LQQK up. The mall is loaded with all kinds of stores, Falabella , etc. The mall occupies 6 floors of the building with the rest of the building being occupied with office space for private enterprises. There is underground parking available. I recommend taking the metro as opposed to driving to the mall. The place is huge and one time we could not find our car for half an hour, jaaaaa. After that experience we took the Metro. First time there we went to the Jumbo store to shop for groceries and needed the car. After that we would take the Metro and just go gawking at everything. When hungry we went to the food court... OMG...The largest food court I have ever seen in my life. I thought that I was in FOOD heaven. It was 360 degrees of fast food chain restaurants , ice cream stands and restaurants. Over 60 eating establishments all located on the same floor. So many choices ! Many recognizable food chain joints like McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, as well as familiar Chilean fast food chain joints. Many fine restaurants also located there for those who enjoy fine dining. The entire 6th floor is dedicated to the cinema. The most recent movie releases are shown with Spanish subtitles. We went to see "INTERSTELLAR" So there you go. You can shop, dine, take in a movie, all in the same place. In short, you can spend an entire afternoon at the Mall Costanera in Santiago de Chile. What more can I say ... But... When we visited Santiago, everybody told us to watch for our belongings! However, I did not expect to be robbed in this shopping center! There are cameras everywhere and mall cops in various uniforms, yellow, red, or black, every 10 m... Still, while shopping at a candy store, my wife was surrounded by three girls who took the phone from her purse! As soon as she realized, a few seconds later, she yelled at me and we tried to find the girls, also contacting the guards at the same time. We told them where was the thief, we told them that we wanted to see the footage from the surveillance cameras around us and that we want to make a complaint. We could tell them the location of the phone in the real time, as it was an iPhone, we of course locked it immediately and then we could track it through Find My. Not only the guards did not do anything to stop the thieves, but our impression was that they tried to stall us, like they were working together... We went to the Customer Center and filed the complaint, asked again and again to see the surveillance footage, they told us that it's impossible without notifying the police. We then contacted the police, we even told them the location of the phone, because every time the thieves tried to use the phone, the location popped up! Eventually, they found the phone, but it was already dismantled in a pawnshop... Even after that, we weren't allowed to watch the footage! In my opinion, this is a network, the shopping center personnel is involved, perhaps even the police, because they did not do absolutely anything to help us recover it or to catch the thieves! Also, a stolen iPhone is useless, so maybe people will stop stealing them... It is a pity that our impression of Chile, which is a beautiful country, was spoiled by this shopping center, that we do not recommend to anyone, unless they want their goods stolen in front of passive guards and personnel. read more

The Jumbo is an enormous grocery store located on the main floor of the mall. This mall is South America's largest shopping mall. The mall features many European and American stores such as Zara, H&M, Gap, and Banana Republic...(yawn)...the prices are much higher than you will find in their respective countries. The best shop is a small El Mundo del Vino. There is a food court and movie theater. The mall is closed on May 1st (International Workers' Day a Chilean National Holiday.) Life pretty much evolves around the mall in Chile. This place was close to my hotel and offered a lot of food choices so I thought I'd give it a look. The place is huge. 5 levels. The basement has a fantastic grocery store to pick the necessities if you're renting a nearby apartment. The top floor has some excellent restaurants...namely Crepes & Waffles, which is outstanding. Freddo is an ice cream shop next door that's also very good. Other than that, its a typical mall with a lot of stores. Very good people watching too :) read more

This is a really nice mall - very modern and five levels (nivels) of shops and restaurants. I came here originally because it's the same building as the Sky Costanera, the tallest building in South America (do this on a clear day and you can see the Andes mountains!). There are lots of shops that you'll recognize from any North American shopping mall - H&M, Forever 21, Victoria's Secret, Aeropostale, etc... The fifth floor is almost exclusively food - lots of sit-down restaurants, as well as a food court for comida rapida, like Burger King. You can get ice cream (Freddo's, Crepes y Waffles) too. On the bottom floor, there's a Jumbo supermarket that is huge and has everything you could possible need in a grocery store. The mall has wifi and if you're a foreigner and you have ID (like your passport or drivers license), go to the information desk and show it to them and they'll give you a discount card that'll give you like 10% off some of the stores and restaurants listed on the pamphlet they give you. There are a couple of department stores in this mall too, like Paris and Ripley's. You can easily take the metro to get here - red line, get off at Tobalaba station and it's a short walk to the mall. I could be done with big malls after US, and maybe that's why this one tired me out right away. Once you've been to big malls more than once, they all look the same. This one is flooded with shoppers all the time. Best time to be around? when they open around 10-11. The cinema was very useful as they have many movies with subtitles. Make sure you become a member to obtain discounts. read more

This mall has just about EVERYTHING you need. They have nice Local & International Restaurants on the 5th floor and a food court. The mall is one of the, if not the largest mall in Latin America. Bonus is that they have guides through-out the mall if you need any assistance or directions. read more

Worst mall I've been in. Really classy and bad parking. I don't recommend this mall. Try Portal La Dehesa instead.
