After parking, when I was going to get out of the car it sounded like someone was playing a loud car stereo in the parking lot. But when I got out, I realized the sound was coming out of the church. I went inside and could not go in the darkened stage-like sanctuary because it was too painfully loud. I thought that I might wait in the lobby (where it was still very loud) until the preaching started, but the music went on until 10:40 and at that point I decided that this church would not be a good place for me to attend because I would not be able to ever join the in worship part of the service. So I left. On the plus side, the greeters here are very friendly and the building and grounds are nice. This would probably make a nice church for those who are not concerned about receiving hearing damage.

The gathering isn't just a sermon, but an opportunity to gather as the Church to grow to be more like Jesus together. I trust all of the pastors and leaders there, and not just because they do the right things, but because I have personally witnessed their vulnerability and humility, and I see how they are continuing to pursue Jesus, and pursue a life that looks more like him, and they desire for others to experience the same. Practically speaking, the kids ministry is great, and my kids love it, so not only does it give us an opportunity to focus on the gathering, but they are actually excited to go every week! The church is also very good at connecting new people with a small group (MC) where they will feel comfortable and grow. Also, they serve great coffee. :)

Well, we have been going to this church for at least 3 years. This church is for people who wants to learn about Jesus and wants to grow in Him. Music: a few different styles and it is pretty charismatic, but not just a rock. There played soul too. Preaching: it is reformed church. I can also call it reformed presbyterian church. If you are a single mom or dad, bringing your child here will be great. There is a youth ministry and morning bible school. Plus many other activities. This church has a plenty of people of different ages for 1yr old to 75. They have a few growth groups for socializing and a Bible study. You WILL NOT fall asleep during sermons there. LOL! Inside and outside this church is neat and clean and cozy. Plus there is a lots of parking space and easy accessible for wheelchairs. Coffee is allowed taken to the seat during a worship. I probably will edit this review for a couple of times because like I said it is very hard to describe your family, which is not just a building.

I was a bit worried, as I was running later than I would have liked. However, the service did not start right at 10am, so I was good. :o) Walking up the stairs, I was greeted by the pastor, which is not something that I experience at most churches. It was a pleasant surprise. Yet when I sat down in my seat to await the service, I didn't have a bunch of people pestering me about this being my first time. I liked that there was a balance like that. The service was good, and the worship song selection was great. I only knew the words to one of the songs, but liked the others and hope to learn them. All in all, I felt very welcome. I received a follow-up note from the pastor a couple days later which made it clear that this is a community of people who do care about those who enter their doors.

The sermons also range from inspiring, to analytical, to humorous as both pastors are friendly and have a great sense of humor. They have an amazing children's and teen program led by an amazing young pastor. There's also no pressure. :) You become involved where and how much you would like. The congregation can seem a bit older, but this fluctuates based on attendance. There are a growing number of younger attendees and young families who attend when they can.
