I came here last minute looking for a tres leches cake and was helped immediately upon entering. I was also overjoyed to see they had several good sized cakes available!! I wish I would have taken a photo of the cake because it was beautiful and everybody really enjoyed it:-) Mama Ines was easy to find, had a lot to offer, and the cake was delicious! They have a parking lot right out front as well. I can't wait to come back!

I had a quick easy trip to Mama Ines' Bakery. I needed a tres leches cake and I checked their Yelp reviews before going. They had lots of cakes prepared in the case (strawberry, chocolate, chantilly, coffee, etc). The process was painless. I picked the cake I wanted, gave them the name I wanted written on the cake and left. The staff were friendly and helpful. They accept cash, cards and tap to pay. Very convenient. I would like to check out some of their baked goods next time I return, they had SO many! They were all beautiful.

I ordered a tres leches (three milks) birthday cake that was magnificent. I think they added cognac to make the cake. The cake had glazed fruit and chocolate icing on top, and the rest was whipped cream trim and sides. Everyone loved it!

Everyone knows this place has amazing churros / cookies / cakes. What you might now know... best hot chocolate in town! It's super thick Mexican hot chocolate. Also got solid on the go burritos for $2, very popular with busy patrons looking for a quick bite! Swing by and buy stuff for all your friends & family, most things are $2 & delicious.

I am always on the lookout for panaderias in Indy since I love pan dulce. We have tried Mama Inez enough times where I could give it my honest review. You have to sanitize your hands when you enter (points for having hand sanitizer in many areas of the store). You must also wear a mask to enter (if you don't have a mask they have disposables for sale for $1). Then you get a tray and tongs and get to make your selections. There is lots of bread to choose from. Conchas, cuernos, cookies, donuts, etc. All very reasonably priced. Service is fast and most of the employees are friendly most of the time. There was a time we stopped for bread and my husband asked for some bread to be separated and placed in a smaller bag. The cashier was very inconvenienced by this and made it clearly known that she was going to charge us for the extra bag and that we should have told her from the beginning to seperate the bread. Um ok? Overall, I am very picky with my pan dulce (Mexican sweet bread) and Mama Inez is not bad, but it also isn't the best I've had. For me, if the bread is still soft the next day then thats a huge plus! Unfortunately that hasn't been the case with this shop. If I am in the area I will stop by but this isn't a place I would go out of my way to go to.

    All this for under $15

Found a hidden gem on south side of downtown. If you love Mexican pastries and fresh baked bread and cakes, this is the place for you! They had open glass cases of fresh baked pastries. Throughout the store. You had to sanitize your hands first before they will hand you a tray and tong to get your desired pastries. Prices were very reasonable. They even had fresh backed small baguette rolls -delicious! I had their tamales and can I say, they are very authentic and was only $3.50 for 4 large tamales! I will definitely be back!!

We got a handful of different items. There is quite the variety and all super cheap. Be warned there is a $10 credit minimum- this means almost a bagful of goodies. So, remember to bring cash! The corn cake is velvety goodness!

My parents and I went to Mama Ines Mexican Bakery on a Saturday afternoon. This has been on my list for awhile. I'm happy to say it was worth the wait. It was quite busy when visited so we didn't get much customer service (reason for four star). The food is a la cartel and reasonably priced. My suggestion is to grab a tray, thongs and walk around. There are so many options! The baked goods were good and others were great. We had the churros, pastry with raisins, and croissant with chocolate filling. Overall if I'm back in the area I would definitely stop by to fix my sweet tooth.

This was my first trip to a Mexican Bakery and I was not disappointed. There were so many treats, breads, and other yummy items. I'll be honest with you, I didn't know what most items were and was hesitant to ask. But that didn't stop me from getting 13+ of the best looking items my eyes could handle. First things first, grab a tray, tongs and get to shopping. If you aren't sure what to grab, just see what others around you are grabbing, it must be good. :) I had to purchase the churros and they did not disappoint. A nice cinnamon sugar flavor without it being to overpowerful or super sweet. I also grabbed two giant Mexican Flag cookies, a slice of pineapple cake, and a couple of other danish items. Each item seem to be about $0.99 We loved the giant glazed donut with itty bitty sprinkles. Yummy. Ranking pretty high on my donut list. I was a little confused by the meringue "cookies" they were crispy on the outside but gooey on the inside. Not a fan. But pretty to look at. I can't wait to go back again but next time will bring my BIL who speaks Spanish to help me learn about all their treats.

They offer a wide variety of Mexican pastries at a super affordable price. Went this morning for a Saturday morning treat and ended up getting 6 items for just over $7 with tax. The store was clean and well lit, the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning!

Definitely my favorite panaderia, Mexican bakery, in town to pick up pan dulce, Mexican sweet breads. From Mexican wedding cookies to conchas to dip in milk to flan on chocolate cake to my favorite empanadas filled with guava and pink Pan Dulce, a tri-color cookie to dip in coffee, they have all the traditional panes. You can also order cakes here but I go else where for that. Pasteries: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Location: 4/5 - Meh.. it's clean. Its on the Westside, in a strip of shops.

Yes, these are quite a bit pricer that's for sure. People were buying one of everything in line. I was like wow! Some Items the combinations of flavors didn't appeal to me. I love tiramisu and pecan pie so I got them both. One suggestion I would have is to have utensils and napkins at the table for people to use. The pastries I bought are really temperature sensitive and need to be kept cold. Both had a cream - mousse inside. They wouldn't last long only a day or to the next. I loved the pecan item I ordered. It was great! The tiramisu one I wouldn't order again. The bottom flakey part was so bitter. I love coffee and expresso and tiramisu. What went from ordering 1 pastry each turned into 8 total.. and we regret nothing. The Tiramisu Danish was exactly as I had hoped for! The bitter taste of espresso paired with the sweet mascarpone cream filling reminded me of the holidays when I would watch my mom make tiramisu for our family. While a lot of people prefer a sweeter espresso, I thought this was perfect and very true to a traditional tiramisu taste The Pear Kouglof reminded me of a fresh yeast donut that's been tossed in sugar This was a very kid-friendly pastry in taste and while I wasn't too blown away by it, it did make me wonder if I would have preferred it with a stronger, more potent, fruit. The Cherry Basque Cheesecake -- this pastry was the house favorite. The texture of this cheesecake was creamy, but somehow still spongey.. cakey, but more like pudding. Mix that with the juiciest sour cherries and the crunch of a biscoff crust.. mind blown was an understatement. We're looking forward to what Beurre Sec has planned for their next pop-up
