The food is really good, but the service is very slow and the cleanliness is severally lacking. I suggest take out and add 20 minutes onto their quoted wait time, unless you want to hang out in an overly cluttered hole in the wall restaurant with with multiple staff's kids running around like crazy. read more

If you have read any of my past reviews you know that it is my belief that you shouldn't have one review unless the food quality was horrific. I ordered my pizza (for pick up) and arrived about 40 minutes later and entered the store. The store had food scraps left over half the tables inside and the décor was tacky to say the least. children's toys littered the entire place though it was completely empty which I thought was a bit eerie. I walk to the empty counter and could see the messy almost dirty kitchen, then an elderly woman walk up on the other side of the counter and for my order, I told her and she told me they hadn't even stared to make it yet. So I waited outside for another 20 minutes, at this point it was dark outside and some couple began to have fight at the apartments next the pizza place, so I went back in. And finally my food was done, it took the elderly woman an unprofessional amount of time to write the receipt as she apparently kept making mistakes. When I finally returned home and tasted the pizza, You already know as I wrote in the beginning. I wrote this review not to insult nor even complain about Mama Lisa's pizza, I wrote this review as a plea to anyone curious to try Lisa's pizza, don't make same mistake I did. I have eaten there several times and the food is great and great people are fantastic I will definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The only reason I'm writing this into is because of Mamaw Lisa. She was the kindest woman I've ever met in my life however her pizza shop was not the cleanest place in the world and it was highly unsanitary. There was a toddler running rampant and he would not stop crawling in between my friends and I. Not to mention that there were several toys laying around the restaurant and it was evident that these people were using this restaurant as a storage facility. She gave us cookies which was very kind of her but I wouldn't say that it made up for the fact that her grandsons dirty bare feet were all over our table and he was climbing all over us. Also just so you all know she does not have sterling silver in the back and everything is very unsanitary and none of it is probably approved. Also in the bathroom there is a children's training potty and it is not properly cleaned out and the whole bathroom smells like pee and poop. Also also it is July and their Christmas tree was still up. And another thing my friends and I were walking up to the cash register to pay when all of a sudden we saw a rack of clothing hanging up in the blacked out windows the grandson ran up and he said look those are my mommy's clothes at that point we realized that they were living out of this pizzeria. And you'll never believe what else the little boy was in one of those little plastic cars that toddlers drive around and he was literally ramming it into our legs and I don't mean to cry about it but it hurt. I'm not trying to be a hater and I would never bash a business that wasn't horrible but I hate to say it this business might be horrible the pizza taste good but eat it at your own risk. The kitchen is all domestic kitchenware and we physically saw them with our own eyes pick up the grandson who was barefoot with dirty blackened feet and sat him on the counter as they cooked our food I don't know why we actually ate it I guess it was because we were the only ones in this restaurant and we were a little bit frightened to leave but it tasted nice.
