Location is trash, it's in a deserted plaza off Sahara inside an abandoned food court. ambiance is trash and food is mediocre to poor compared to LA location. Really hoped and wished this place was like LA locations. Some dishes were ok like rice cake and others were horrid like the sheng jian bao. Do not order that. Nothing like what it's suppose to be and suspect it was bought from 168 market and modified.

Food: *fish filet with vegetables - very good *Shanghai style rice cakes (nian gao) - very good *Har gow - terrible *cucumber salad - skip, weird spices used *Green onion pancake - skip, undercooked *eggplant - just ok Like the authenticity and large servings. Service: Maria is a great server, knows the menu and is on top of it with a friendly smile. Ambiance: large space with lots of large tables to accommodate large parties. Location: the surrounding area is very ghetto so I wouldn't go there at night, but that's just me. Plenty of parking.

Walking into Mama Lu's Dumpling House, the first thing you notice is the space. You can still see hints of its past life as Taste of Asia, with stall-style sections that make it feel like a former food hall transformed into one large, bustling Chinese restaurant. Plenty of seating, lively energy, and ideal for big groups who want to order family-style. And that's exactly what we did -- a little bit of everything: , , , , , , , Standout dishes: The Salt & Pepper Pork Chop -- crispy, flavorful, and dangerously addictive. The Egg with Shrimp was another surprise favorite: simple, comforting, and executed really well. Portions across the board were generous, which makes sharing the best way to experience the menu. I started using the sauce from the Spicy Wontons as a dip for the siu mai and dumplings... and honestly, that might be the move going forward. The House Special Vermicelli was interesting, especially with the large pieces of calamari mixed in -- not something you see every day. The eggplant dish tasted great, though the cuts were noticeably long, making it slightly less share-friendly at the table. Overall, Mama Lu's feels like a great spot for groups who want variety without overthinking the order. Big space, big menu, and plenty of crowd-pleasing dishes -- come hungry and bring friends so you can try as much as possible.

Have eated at several dumpling places this didn't wow me at all. It was average at best. The food didn't have a lot of flavor IMO compared to other places I've been. Restaurant area is large like a cafeteria & seems other restaurants will eventually be opening but currently it's onmy Mama Lu's thats open. Table was sticky so it wasn't wiped down properly. There are gnats flying around & landing on the empty plates & utensils beofre we received our food. We were constantly shooing them away. Ick Definitely won't be back. Not pictured: Peking style pork chop & Shrimp, Chive & pork dumpling

Really good Chinese food that isn't super greasy. The chow mein had a lot of flavor and the fried coconut buns were amazing. I think the prices are really fair too! My only issue is that some of their staff is rude and dismissive, I tried asking a man twice for the bill and he ignored me both times and just didn't say anything. That was really weird. But overall the food was delicious

I noticed Mama Lu's Dumpling House open near my work and decided to stop by. When I walked in I was surprised by how big the space is. It looks like this is part of a larger food hall and Mama Lu's is one of the first places open. I came in on a Friday afternoon at a random time and was seated right away. Carlos and Maria were friendly and made the visit better. The menu stood out because of the variety. There are a lot of options and I already want to come back to try more. I enjoyed everything I ordered and the food felt well made. The space is large clean and comfortable. It is a good spot to sit and enjoy your meal without feeling crowded. Overall, I had a great first visit. I plan to come back to try more dishes and to see how the food hall turns out once it fully opens.

Okay so I agree with the other reviewers saying it's not the same as the OG location or Tustin. It's located on the same street as HMart, in a large space that seems like it's still under construction. There's empty food stalls and HK Cafe (from SGV) is going to be opening up in the same space. XLB was...okay. Kind of dry and the skin was not delicate like it should be. Wouldn't recommend for XLB. Shumai was pretty good, but I don't think anything stood out to me. Coconut fried buns were good, nice and crisp on the outside. Also got the beef wrap & I think these items were our favorites. Beef wrap was the right texture and the sauce was very flavorful. Definitely seemed like they were in their early opening stages and would love to come back to try their beef chow fun.

Very delightful, spacious food court vibes. Close to home to serve the locals, no long lines. We were seated right away. The dishes are made to order and very decent. This spot has a lot of potential.

A new Chinese restaurant in town! Plenty of free parking spaces in a shopping center. Upon entering it opened into a large waiting area, then we see something like food court dining area with multiple venues but most were not yet opened. Our family arrived first and got a table and ordered first. Yay for us for not having to decide what to order. As you may know, we are Chinese style which meant ordering multiple dishes and the entire family shares and scoop a small portions onto your own plate. Jay was our server and he gave us superb service. Thank you Jay! He even came by and refill our Thai tea and milk tea and brought us to go cups without needing to ask at the end of our meal. Our family ordered pork soup dumplings, rice cake sautéed with pork and veggies. They were delicious! We also ordered Peking pork, chow mein, sweet and sour soup, pan fried dumplings and finished off with bubble waffle and red beans stuffed pancake for dessert. Boy was I stuffed! This place will do well. I anticipate a busy restaurant and long wait in the future. I can't wait to come back and eat here again

This mama Lus is def a bit different from the OG mama lus in Monterey park. The portions are a lot smaller and the flavors aren't exactly the same. However it's not bad. Parking was easy to find and the restaurant looks like a food court but with no other stalls open. It kind felt like an abandoned food court with just mama lus open lol. But on the bright side there was a lot of seating and space! It was interesting. Service was really quick and nice. I think the best dish we got was the shrimp. It had the most flavor compared to the other dishes. The spicy wontons were also pretty good. I liked the hot and sour soup but make sure to eat it before it gets cold cuz it won't taste as good! The pork dumplings were also really juicy. The dishes I would pass on would be the beef roll since it was too salty. The sui mai was also nothing special. Since they are still in their soft opening they also gave us a free pork dumpling w the purchase of $35! How nice. Overall I feel like there's a lot of potential but it definitely doesn't compare to the og back in 626.

A lot of bests here at Mama Lu's dumpling house. The food was so good that I wanted to meet Mama Lu and give her a hug or shake her hand. We usually go to Xiao Long dumplings but I think we're gonna come here from now on. This was the best shumai I've had in Las Vegas, and the best fried rice I've probably ever had. The salt and pepper pork chop was so tender and oh so flavorful. The only thing I wasn't very satisfied with was that the xia long bao was dry and literally had no soup inside anymore, like it was punctured something. And it was every single piece. If they can improve on the XLB, this place will definitely be my go-to dimsum place from now on. It was nice that they gave us a free coconut bun (you also had the option to get chicken dumplings) for spending over $35 as a grand opening promo. The service was also quite good for a Chinese restaurant. The water tasted really good as well, and I judge a place by their service water.

I saw Mama Lu's ad pop up in my Facebook feed with their new Vegas location and I was excited bc I loved their XLBs at their SoCal location! So off we went to the Sahara store - when you enter you see "Taste of Asia Entrance" on the doors so it seems like it may be a future food court with other vendors. As of now, Mama Lu is the only active restaurant in the space. As we were looking over our menus, someone (manager?) came over to tell us that if we ordered $35 we could either get Juicy Chicken Dumplings or Steamed Buns for free! Oh my! I was planning on ordering the Juicy Pork Dumplings anyway, so I was happy to be able to try XLBs for free. So we ordered: - #65 Mongolian Chicken ($14.98) - #68 Honey Garlic Pork Chop ($14.98) - #54 BBQ Pork Fried Rice ($13.98) - #3 Juicy Chicken Dumplings (normally $9.98 but we got it complimentary due to ordering $35) We enjoyed all of the dishes - the ingredients were high quality (even the green onions were sweet and tasty) and the food tasted fresh and made to order. I've always loved their XLBs (especially the chewy skins!) at their Monterey Park location and they were exactly how I remembered them to be. I appreciate that the water was drinkable (I've been to too many Chinese restaurants where the water doesn't taste potable). As we were enjoying our meal, the waiter brought out free Bubble Waffle! All in all, Mama Lu's new Vegas location is solid - the portions, flavors, and prices are reasonable and nothing was too greasy or salty!

If you haven't discovered Mama Lu's Dumpling House yet, it's truly a hidden gem tucked inside what feels like an evolving food court space. Don't let the location fool you, this spot delivers. From the moment we walked in, the customer service stood out...friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The space itself is surprisingly roomy, with large tables that make it perfect for bigger groups or family style dining. The menu is straightforward and easy to navigate, which I always appreciate when dining with a group. Food came out quickly, and everything was fresh and hot. We ordered a variety to share, and most dishes really impressed. The orange beef and orange chicken were both packed with bold flavor and had that perfect crispy texture without being overly heavy. The shrimp fried rice was cooked just right, with a balanced seafood flavor that wasn't overpowering. The chicken chow mein leaned more veggie forward, which I personally enjoyed--it felt lighter and well balanced. The soup dumplings were decent, not the best in Las Vegas, but still enjoyable. The beef bao buns looked absolutely beautiful with their light crisp exterior and sesame coating, but unfortunately, the flavor didn't quite live up to the presentation. One standout was the fish with vegetables... the white fish was perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and practically melted in your mouth. Light, clean, and flavorful. But the real surprise favorite at the table? The fried salt and pepper pork chops. I had never tried them before, and wow...crispy, flavorful, and paired with fresh lemon wedges, they were an absolute treat. Overall, this is a great spot to dine in, especially with a group. The food is flavorful, the service is solid, and the experience is enjoyable. Definitely one to save to your list if you're looking for a reliable and satisfying meal in Las Vegas.

Pork and Shrimp Siu Mai (5/5): The absolute highlight of the meal and easily one of the best versions of this classic dish available. The order comes with four enormous pieces that taste incredibly fresh, with every single bite packed to the brim with juicy, distinct chunks of real shrimp and pork. Bean Curd Skin Roll (5/5): Another standout favorite of the visit. The dish includes three large rolls cut cleanly in half, packed with incredibly juicy meat filling. It's especially delicious when you ladle the savory sauce from the bottom of the plate over each bite. Cream Egg Yolk Bun (5/5): A dessert that tastes like a cross between an egg tart and a sweet pineapple bun. The sweet egg yolk cream center is warm and exceptionally gooey, so you'll want to take your first bite carefully to prevent the runny filling from splattering. Salt and Pepper Squid (4/5): A very clean, airy, and crispy appetizer that shows zero signs of being fried in old kitchen oil. While the batter leans a bit light on the expected salt and savory seasoning, the abundance of thinly sliced fresh jalapeno peppers added a spicy kick. Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf (4/5): A very solid, comforting option with excellent overall flavor throughout the rice, though the savory meat filling hidden inside the center felt a little sparse. Beef Tripe with Ginger and Scallion (4/5): A dim sum staple featuring an incredibly delicious, gingery sauce and great savory flavor. Beef Congee (4/5): We ordered the medium-sized bowl, which easily yielded at least 4 smaller bowls of congee, making it a perfect shared carb to round out the meal. It had a comforting consistency with a subtle note of ginger, though it personally sits just below a traditional preserved egg and pork style for me. Logistics Tip: Arriving around noon on the weekend means encountering a packed house, but the staff moves the crowd efficiently and gets tables turned over in short order. You place your order by marking your selections directly onto a paper slip, and the kitchen sends items out to your table as soon as they're ready, meaning dishes will arrive in a random, staggered flow throughout your dining experience.

The vast majority of the items we ordered were straight off of carts that were being pushed around. It felt like a blast from the past since a lot of dim sum places now are strictly checking items off a menu or mostly menu with a handful of carts. For a place called New Asian BBQ, we saw very few people ordering BBQ. The food: Zha liang - rice noodle roll wrapped around a you tiao (fried cruller). Probably the least healthy thing on the menu, but arguably the tastiest with different textures and a ton of flavor from the 3 dipping sauces (soy based, sesame based, oyster sauce based) Shrimp and Chive steamed dumpling - I'm always a sucker for this steamed version or the pan fried version. One of the few glimpses of vegetables you'll see at dim sum. Chang Fen (rice noodle roll) - we ordered a shrimp and a beef - both easily meeting our standards Dou Hua (tofu pudding) - served hot with ginger simple syrup. It's even softer than silken tofu. The dish is a bit polarizing, but I like a good Dou Hua. Taro Puffs - always a favorite of ours, they have a pretty good one here Steamed beef ribs - this was an interesting one we've never had at a dim sum restaurant. They're short ribs with a soy, sugar marinade. Pineapple Bun with Salted Egg Yolk - I don't even know what this was called on the menu, but it was the filling of a Liu Sha Bao inside a Pineapple Bun. All these met expectations - Bean Curd (tofu skin) Pork Roll, Ginger Tripe, Shrimp Dumplings, Beef Balls For Dim Sum, I typically expect at least $30 per person. We ate a ton and came in a smidge under that after tax and tip. Everything was good to great and we were very happy that we decided to eat here for brunch. Great place for dim sum in terms of food quality and if you want to order from carts!

Finding the Real Deal: Dim Sumlicious is the Authentic Yum Cha Las Vegas Has Been Missing…read moreLas Vegas has no shortage of Chinese restaurants, but anyone who's grown up going to yum cha knows the difference between dim sum done right and dim sum done for tourists. I've been on a quiet, slightly obsessive hunt across this city for the genuine article -- the kind of Sunday morning experience that transports you straight to a bustling Hong Kong tea house. And friends, I found it. It's called Dim Sumlicious, and the name does not lie. The moment the first bamboo basket hit our table, I knew this was different. Dim Sumlicious has a chef with over 30 years of experience honing his craft in Hong Kong, and it shows in every single bite. This isn't the frozen-and-steamed shortcut situation you'll find at so many spots around town. These are handmade, skillfully executed classics that carry the weight of real tradition behind them. The har gow wrappers had that perfect translucent delicacy -- thin enough to see through, sturdy enough to hold. The siu mai were plump and properly seasoned. The char siu bao, both baked and steamed, hit every note I was hoping for. Cart after cart brought something worth ordering, and nothing disappointed. But beyond the food, what struck me about Dim Sumlicious was the atmosphere of care. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable -- a rarity in a city where restaurants can feel like they're processing customers on a conveyor belt. If you're a dim sum devotee who's been settling for "pretty good," your search is over. Dim Sumlicious is the real deal -- no asterisks, no caveats. Make a reservation, bring the whole family, and go hungry. Las Vegas finally has its yum cha moment. Don't sleep on it.
