I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. I live in Delray so it's not on my radar, but now that I have tried it I will be back very soon. I had a slice and a spinach pinwheel along with a bottle of water. The pizza was phenomenal! Very saucy and cheesy, just the way I like it. The sauce was perfect and the crust was crispy too! So good! The spinach pinwheel was incredible. When I ordered at the counter, the super nice guy asked me if I wanted it topped with oil and parmesan cheese. I wasn't sure so I asked him to decide. He loaded up the top, but the spinach and cheese filling was stuffed! It came with a side of sauce but I didn't use much. The pinwheel was perfect on it's own. Both the pizza and pinwheel were large. I was able to eat most of the slice, and most of the spinach pinwheel. More than I would usually eat, especially for lunch, but it was so good, just like the places I used to go to when I lived on Long Island. Next time I want to try a stromboli or one of their many lunch specials. Highly recommend!!! read more

Came to Mama Maria's on a whim because we happened to walk by it on a walk. Would've never known it was there as its tucked away at the very end of a large Publix plaza. Came on a Monday afternoon, wasn't busy which was nice. Ordered for takeout and just hung out in the dining room until our order was ready. The nice gentleman who took our order told us about a special that they had, but the special was cash only, I didn't have cash I just proceeded with my normal order. We got a 16-in cheese pizza with peppers and onions, a spinach pinwheel, mozzarella sticks, and two canned drinks. The mozzarella sticks were really good! Had a nice crunch, an herby and cheesy breading and good amount of cheese filling. The spinach pinwheel was probably the best part of the meal! Very tasty, loads of spinach, nice bake on the outside and bottom. It was hefty! But also crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. The pizza was good. Nothing really to write home about. The sauce tasted like it could be homemade but not entirely sure. I enjoyed having the peppers and onions diced up, because it's easier to eat that way. The pizza was a tad to floppy/soggy for my taste and didn't seem like there was enough cheese. I feel like maybe they only used mozzarella (unsure), so it didn't taste like there was any salt. A nice parmesan or fontina could do the pizza a lot of justice. The crust however was nice and fluffy. I cant remember the total exactly, but it was around $40. Im unsure if I'll be back for pizza. For that price, I'd probably just go to one of my tried and true pizza places. I would however come back for some pinwheels as you don't see that everywhere. And in all honesty, taking advantage of the cash only pizza deal would probably have made the meal worth it. So maybe on a Monday I would give the pizza another chance (asking for extra cheese and a more well-done bake), and just bring cash next time. read more

I had a late Galentines party I hosted and the last thing I wanted to do was cook 80 wings so I spoke with the owner and he made it happen. 80 wings and he had them separated for me with celery sticks and tubs of ranch and blue cheese on time as scheduled. I always say, I rarely give five stars, and EVEN with my experience not being (lets say optimal, I will explain) I have 4 stars, they lost nothing from the issues. We had been meaning to try this place, its not SUPER close but we've gone further for less. Called in, ordered a Large Pizza Half Bacon, Half Meatball. went to pickup the pizza and they open each box and show you the pizza, it was half bacon & Meatball half plain. I said no problem, can you just add meatballs to the plain half and re-fire it, we prefer well done anyway. They made us a new pizza (TBH the first one was cut like the pizza slid over while cutting it, it wasn't pretty). A lady come to the counter offered us a drink while we waited. Suer nice. But if the food sucks, who cares right? All we got was that pizza. AND IT WAS FREAKING DELICIOUS! A little tiny bit of burned flour on the bottom, terrific crust, a bit fluffier than my regular, but so nicely done. Great sauce, bacon (as bacon usually is) was salty but a lot of topping and quality stuff. The meatball blew the whole thing away. I dont know if they make them in the store, but DAM are they good. Gotta update the review and add a star. Mama Maria's produced a nicely well done crust on a Grandma Pie we tried. We also got the Spaghetti & Meatballs and a side of Garlic Knots. Couple things. The Grandma Pie was noticeably better based on the crust, however it was light on sauce which really enhances the flavor. This was same with the spaghetti. Regardless this review is still an improvement from the last experience. If I get a nice well done crust next time with the generous sauce I've been used to for a while now... then I'll move it up to 4/5 stars once again. read more

While visiting relatives in the area, we decided to order pizza for the family this past Saturday night. I ordered on the Mama Maria's website for pickup and paid online. My partner went to pick it up. He particularly wanted Zeppolis and that was the main reason we picked this place because they were listed on their menu. We weren't really interested in any of their specialty pizzas and the build your own was by the slice, but they did have cheese and then you pay for each ingredient. It adds up fast but we went with that. We got X-Large cheese pizza for $18.95 I believe. Added double pepperoni for $5 extra, mushrooms $2.50, and basil $2.50. I went to order the Zeppolis and the 12 count was unavailable, so I had to order 2 of the smaller orders and pay extra. That made 12 cost $8.50 instead of $7. When my partner arrived to pick up the order, they told him they didn't have Zeppolis so they substituted a slice of cheesecake and a tiramisu. They told him they had no way to issue him any refund at the store. He then got to the car, looked at the pizza and saw there was no basil. He went back in and they told him they didn't have any basil. He said they charged him for it. The person took the pizza to the back, came back out and said they added it. They literally grabbed maybe 5 leaves of basil, tore it into large pieces and threw it on top of the pizza. I can buy an entire basil plant for $3-$4 and I paid $2.50 for someone to throw a few leaves on top of a pizza. Apparently they had some basil but forgot it on the pizza. They can't give you a refund, so what kind of recourse would we have?! Truly awful service. The pizza was just okay. The crust wasn't cooked enough in the middle. We used our oven to cook it a bit longer which made it edible. The cheesecake and tiramisu we were stuck with tasted like they came out of a box from a store. There were 4 people eating but we threw away about half the pizza and desserts. Nearly $50 wasted. read more

Unfortunately they put a big damper on Mother's Day. I had been here a few times before. Their quality, prior to this last visit, had been consistent. They were becoming my favorite pizza place in the area based off of the few times I had been. On Mother's Day, my mother specifically requested this place. I ordered it and had my father pick it up. Our large order included a supreme pizza but when I opened the box, it was a pepperoni instead. I checked the receipt to make sure it was ordered correctly, and in fact, it said supreme. Annoying, but not the end of the world. I called to have them rectify the situation and mentioned it was a big inconvenience since we are about 15 minutes away from there. The girl on the phone was extremely rude, combative and unprofessional. She said whoever picked it up confirmed the order was correct. She also said it was not her problem that we drove 15 minutes to get there... Who tells customers that? She said she could have the correct pizza made. When my dad got there, they were giving him attitude and said "Sorry but it's not our fault you live 15 minutes away" doubling down on that. My dad told them that was very unprofessional and that their apology was not sincere, the cook came from the back and started yelling at my dad telling him to stop lying and that he's sick and tired of customers lying all of the time...If other customers are also getting incorrect orders and then getting attitude from the staff, did you ever stop to think that maybe you guys are the ones messing up and not the "lying customers"? My dad ended up speaking to the manager. He said he was really nice and apologetic and ended up crediting him back for our entire meal... that isn't really what we wanted. We would have been fine with staff that can own up to their mistakes and be genuinely apologetic for their mishaps instead of berating paying customers. It's sad that it's so hard to find decent customer service, I don't think that's too much to ask. We ended up leaving the pepperoni and not taking the supreme out of fear the angry cook did something to it. I will leave 2 stars because their food is usually very good. It's just a big shame about the cook and the two girls at the front. Unfortunately, I will not be ordering from here again. read more

Went for lunch & had the Margherita pizza which was delicious. After leaving to go for an appointment & shopping, came back & had dinner here also! (Had to pick up my car. This place is exactly what I hope for when I go to a pizza place. The girls working the counter have a great attitude and want to help you, it's very clean and has a relaxed feel, and the pizza is bomb. I got the grandmas pie and it was just as good as advertised. The sauce definitely steals the show and if you are a fan of a sweet sauce then this will be the pizza you want to go for. The honey hot wings were good too, but my only complaint was that it tasted like the wings were cooked and then just tossed in the sauce, so the meat didnt really absorb the flavor. I think if they were cooked in the sauce it would have been another 5 star dish, but maybe it was just me ‍. Either way this place is a 5* and i'll be back for that grandmas pie. read more

Thought we would try this restaurant due to its high rating. Ordered 2 entrees. Both portions were adequate, if not a little large. There was an abundant of red sauce on the food which is the way we like it. The food was prepared well but we thought that the red sauce needs some improvement. It is relatively thick but totally lacks taste! It could definitely use some oregano and salt! It appears that they may be using corn starch to thicken the sauce and it is taking a great deal from the taste of the tomatoes. If not for this the food would get 5 stars. The tables are very small. It was hard to fit the 2 dinners with the salad plates and sides of pasta on the table with our entrees. Next time we will order the pizza but take it home to eat! Unfortunately I need to change the rating from 4 to 1 because my mother got horrible stomach cramps from the Eggplant Rollatini and was up all night! She still has a horrible knot in her stomach and feels terrible!! That sauce or something definitely didn't agree with her stomach although it is usually like 'iron' and she eats everything. read more

The dough used for the Grandma's Pizza is not longer great. After ordering a to-go $30 pie I walked back to wash my hands and saw a stack of individually wrapped, pre-made square crusts sitting out on the prep table. After three of us had a slice we threw more than half the pie away. We are not likely to return anytime soon. read more

The best garlic rolls can be found here! So freaking delicious. Although I ordered from here through Uber Eats, the food was still hot and tasted very fresh. One of the best chicken wings I've eaten have been from here. The honey garlic sauce is not the usual sauce everyone's use to - this one is definitely unique in its own way. The pizza was also very tasty and loaded with ricotta cheese (my favorite). Not picture here (so yummy I didn't take a photo) were phenomenal! My all time favorite pizza place from now on. read more

I have had the pizza before and its very good but last night I wanted to try something different. I am a big fan of Chicken Parmesan so I ordered it for takeout with Linguine and a side salad. For context, I am ex-NY/NJ and really enjoy good Italian fare. The chicken parm was a major disappointment. The chicken was thin, and the side salad (served in a McDonalds BigMac type styrofoam container) was very basic, but my biggest issue was the sauce for the chicken parm. It tasted like bland tomato soup or like it came from a jar of Dollar Store tomato sauce. I hate to be cruel as the people working there are AMAZINGLY nice, however, this has got to get better if I am going to order entrees and not just pizza. read more

We ordered through doordash..the garlic knots were the best part (with the exception of a couple burnt ones they threw in our order), the chicken parm sandwich was decent nothing fabulous but okay, my hubby only ate a couple bites (i dont think he liked it, he said the chicken cutlet tasted old), the pepperoni pinwheel was no good, but the pepperoni wrap thingy (had ricotta, ham, pepperoni and marinara sauce) was tasty to me. Overall it was decent, it was not great but not bad...however we want to try some more items and see how the pastas are.. Our delivery person told us there was some big cop event going on so hopefully thats why things weren't the best, hence why we are open to giving them another shot someday soon and will update our review. read more

This is FANTASTIC news! Best pizza place in the area. We were truly upset during Christmas 2022 to walk up and see the restaurant "closed for renovations". However, we were anticipating weekly for the re-opening. Then, weeks turned into months with no change. We lost hope... all of sudden we past by the other day and the "Neon Glow" caught our eye illuminating the front window. We passed by and to our surprise, it was OPEN once again. Really wanted to like this pizza based on the reviews but it was far from stellar. The grandma pie had a sauce that was far too sweet. I'm shocked they sell it like this. We had that and a half dozen rolls which were dried out. The service was good and the dough for the grandpa pie was decent but the sauce ruined the whole thing. We scraped nearly all of it off just to make it edible. We won't return. Update: we love Grandma pies and have ordered them from many places. We understand the sauce should have a hint of sweetness to it (mainly from fresh basil and high quality tomatoes) but this tasted like it had tons of added sugar in it. We've been buying pizza from mamas for quite some time. We always get the grandma pizza with eggplant and it's always been very good. Unfortunately this past weekends purchase wasn't memorable and definitely thought about turning around after I called in my pizza. When I walked in there must have been 10 people working and 2 were not wearing a mask. One had it around his neck and another one who looked like he was the main cook, didn't have a mask on at all. I understand it must get very hot to cook pizza and wear a mask but with what's going on in the world, I don't feel comfortable purchasing from an establishment with employees who don't feel the need to protect others. Especially when they are the ones handling your food! Pizza lovers beware! read more
