    Buffalo chicken sandwich
    Christopher S.

Decent option just across the bridge from OC in Marmora, by the Shop Rite. I think I picked the wrong menu item (did too much customizing with a buffalo chicken sandwich!) but it was still good and they gave me what I asked for. It was super crowded inside when I picked up my food too which is always a good sign! Review from 6/13

Re made cheesesteak after epic fail on first try. This one was very good
    Alex T.

Very conflicted on how to rate our experience. We went for lunch to try the cheesesteak and pizza. Ordered a slice of pepperoni which was disappointing on all aspects. The crust, sauce, cheese and pepperoni were all disappointing. The cheesesteak was advertised coming with lettuce and tomato and having 8 of meat. Jordan asked if we wanted it on a seeded roll and I was happy. Unfortunately what she brought out was pitiful. Check the first picture to see there is no way this was close to 8 oz. Needless to say we were extremely disappointed. I actually cut half the roll off on each half of the sandwich. That's how scarce the sandwich was. When I was asked I told her taste was good but this was far from what was advertised and looked pitiful. She offered to make a new one which I turned down at first but she did really want to make it right so I agreed. The sandwich we took home and ate later on at night was quite good and appeared to have the advertised 8 oz of meat. So if the second one is the truly how they make them then I found one of the better cheesesteak in the area. If it was filled to compensate for the first attempt then that would be the last time they will see me. There in lies the conflict because to determine which is the most accurate depiction of their cheesesteak I have to go back and probably will. The one bright spot was Jordan who remained nice and sweet throughout the ordeal. She's a great example of excellent customer service and deserves a raise.

It being a beautiful summer evening helped the whole experience but the service and food exceeded it. We shared the asparagus wrapped in cheese and prosciutto with balsamic glaze. It was delicious and plenty for the two of us. Our server (Betsy) was a delight. Helpful and with just the right amount of attention. A very nice person who treated us like old friends. I had a special. Orange Roughy with bay scallops and a spicy tomato sauce over capellini. The fish was perfect with a slightly sweet flavor and flaky texture. Bay scallops are not my favorites as they tend to cook to a tougher texture with less scallop taste than diver scallops. Probably would have preferred 2 or 3 divers instead. But overall a delicious dinner and would have it again. My wife has some issues with garlic which is tough in an Italian restaurant. She had linguini primavera with just olive oil and cheese and really enjoyed it. We sat outside. The inside was noisier than we prefer. All in all a great byo Italian restaurant and I highly recommend it. You might see us there as we plan to return. Go!

My other friend got dish with Gorgonzola cream sauce and scallops. That was excellent as well. Would highly recommend to anyone. And if ever in this area again, I would want to go back

First, they get busy, so I highly recommend a reservation (they do have a bar but that seemed to fill up quickly). Inside, it's well laid out, plenty of space and tables. It looks great. The service was very good the entire time. We didn't wait on anything and our server always seemed to know when we did need something. They serve a good semolina bread with sesame seeds, the olive oil they bring out has seasoning in it. That's typically not my thing, let the olive oil speak (if it's good) but it worked. For apps, we ordered the fried green tomatoes with lump crab, the stuffed long hots, eggplant parmagiana, and the grande meatball. Meatballs are my favorite; these didn't disappoint. They are large, not tough, and well seasoned. The salad they came with made no sense, but it is what it is. The long hots were stuffed with sausage and had a kick, but that's the fun part about long hots. They were very good. The fried green tomatoes and eggplant were mediocre. Both dishes lacked flavor. For the entree, I ordered the veal chop, and while I'm not sure if there are many other served in SIC (they claim "the best in the city"), this was great. It's old school, but it was cooked perfectly and seasoned even better. I crushed it. There was a side of mixed vegetables and potatoes, which were not good. Undercooked, likely made ahead of time, held and scooped out when needed. A few strange things: they have multiple tomato sauces, and they served two different versions of the sauce on the same pasta at our table. One was chunkier and good, the other was runny and flavorless. Second, they upcharge for any changes...if you want a different pasta noodle with a dish, it was $8 more. While I would understand if they were serving high-end fresh pasta, they're not; it's simply a money grab. But even with those issues, it was good. I'll go back next time I'm there and stick to the veal chop...because that was really good.

I must say the chicken was good. The waitress was friendly not sure who was responsible for the bobble. We also know that having a restaurant open only on the weekend isn't the smoothest. Let's start with decor - I don't think I've ever been in a restaurant this clean in a long long time. The decor is charming, olde world, and lush. Large booths envelope you while you dine with a view of the open kitchen. The "fire element" is warming and romantic and would be great in the cold weather. The service was impeccable. Our server Forrest knows her menu well and made wonderful recommendations. I was looking for a creamy espresso martini and she offered up a cappuccino martini not on the menu but having featured before - they were happy to make it for me. They have great bartenders and mixologist. The food was absolutely wonderful. I had chicken Parmesan, a portion large enough for two. My sister had the below picture Wedge Salad - that looked stunning. She had an absolutely delicious summer risotto - creamy and fresh with summer corn and peas. Risotto is great done right - horrible done wrong - and this one was WAY right. We didn't have room for dessert but I plan on many visits to this restaurant in the future. I had a wonderful conversation with the very hands on owners Pancho and Lisa who have a warm and welcoming style. Such an enjoyable evening. Thank you.

I walked into Bakeria two days ago, intending to treat myself to one of their amazing artisan slices of pizza. But in the display case below the counter was a stack of beautiful seeded baguettes, hot out of the oven and longer than my arm! Disclaimer: I am a lifelong baguette hound, travel to Italy and France frequently enough, and consider myself a baguette connoisseur if you will. So it took two long bags, one on each end, to wrap this baguette which smelled like a dream, and I will admit that I was a bit taken back when the cashier asked for $10, which is the most I have ever paid for baguette in all of my life, but knowing that these sell out every day, I was not gonna walk away at that point! All I can tell you is this is by far the best baguette I have ever had in America or Europe: wonderful sourdough, perfectly texture crust covered with lightly toasted sesame seeds, and a moist soft chewy interior that is pure bliss. Buy this baguette! I promise you that it will be a memorable experience!P! And the 10 bucks? I have to be totally honest: I have since dreamed about this baguette and wouldn't hesitate to go back tomorrow for another one, it was so worth it!
