My husband and I visited Mamacita's for the second time, and it didn't disappoint. We tried the poblano steak with chicken...delicious. You can taste the char from the grill, the melty cheese, and the fantastic refried beans, all served with fresh guacamole and super‑soft homemade corn tortillas. We also had the quesabirria tacos. The birria was wonderful: very tasty, meaty, cheesy, with a perfectly crunchy tortilla. We tried the queso too, and it was so good. Everything was fantastic. Food was good and average price except for the bean and cheese nachos. The full size order price was $13.39. Common sense, any business needs to make a profit but that was ridiculous! The order contained 9 chips with Bean and cheese. Price the ingredients for yourself at the store and you will realize that even at half that price you could still make at least 3 times that amount. This place has the best menudo in the area! Spicy hot and delicious! I like that they introduced la patrona plate that has a bit of everything: menudo, barbacoa, eggs and beans. Tortillas are made in house and very tasty! In fact, I've never had a bad meal here. Really like their veggie omelette as well. Filled with tasty vegetables! Service is quick and friendly. Place is often decorated for a holiday and is nice and clean. Lunch and dinner are great as well and I'd write more but my hand is getting tired! First let me start by saying that I love this restaurant and used to eat there all the time. I've only started ordering to go these past few years bc 3 kids in 3 years make it a little difficult to eat out. Mammacitas probably does one of the worst to gos I've ever had. I've ordered from them a few times and every time I've been disappointed. They are super cheap and cut corners every way they can. If you order 100+ dollars worth of food, you will be given maybe 2 small personal bags of chips and two tiny salsas. Today I ordered their chips and salsa for an additional $6 expecting to get...you know, chips and salsa. The picture attached is of the small bag of chips and inedible salsa that was given to us (how do you bag this up and expect this to be ok?). Delicious authentic TexMex food at a reasonable price, love this place! A friend group of mine meets once a year here for the past 10 years for a mini catch up. We all used to work together and often had lunch here. So, it continues The menu is quite extensive, so everyone can find their perfect meal. The prices are very reasonable as are the portion sizes. The drinks are great and the staff is super friendly, hard working and speedy. Parking is ample and easy. The fajitas and salsa are my favs. There's table and booth seating and definitely a TexMex vibe. It is NO surprise to me that I find out this restaurant has 3.5 stars. Places a To Go order for the first time. I would find telling someone how to build a NASA rocket over the phone would be easier than placing this order. 1. The lady that answered the phone speaks pretty good English, but does not understand English very well. She had to get her shift manager, Claudia to help with the order. 2. As you can see from the photos: the order that I placed and the order that I received are two very different orders. 3. Called back and immediately asked for Claudia. She replaced the order and when I asked for a refund (since I would have to drive all the way back out) she said "I cannot guarantee that." - terrible customer service. I would give this place 0 stars, but the food is actually very good. So if you are willing to spend A LOT of time and patience with placing a standard food order, then definitely check this place out for breakfast. This is a really good Tex-Mex restaurant. All the traditional dishes that were used to having down here. Great Carne Asada, and really good enchiladas. I think I could make a meal just on their flower tortillas. We have never received a bad meal at this restaurant. read more

So far it's been about 20 minutes for an order of nachos and a cheeseburger with fries. I was seated at 2:20 pm, and the restaurant was relatively empty. I ordered a "Famous Watermelon Margarita" (regular) for $12. It seems I paid $12 for watermelon flavored juice with a small watermelon wedge. One in my party ordered a Sprite, and... yep, no syrup in the carbonated water. We let the server know, she went back and offered alternatives because apparently they were out of Sprite or there was no one capable of changing the syrup. WOW! The food showed up and, you guessed it. The order was correct, but nothing was hot. The fajita nachos were completely room temperature to cold. The burger was warm and the fries cold and undercooked. For $17 and over 20 minutes, I believe the food should have been pretty close to perfect. Sadly it was far from it. A note on the chips and salsa - store bought Tostitos and mediocre red and green salsa. Glad it was free. On a bright side, the restaurant was well lit, decent sound level on the music and the restrooms were clean. Our server checked on us several times and was very professional. Unfortunately, there are too many other higher quality Mexican food restaurants to visit. This will be my last stop here. $46.50 for subpar food is a hard lesson learned. Beware. read more

I've visited Mamacitas several times over the last few years, and they've always delivered good vegetarian food with friendly service. They have veggie enchiladas and veggie fajitas, and both are quite good. Many places just have cheese and a tiny amount of spinach in veggie enchiladas, but Mamacitas puts in more veggies and a moderate amount of cheese. The veggie fajitas also include a good selection of grilled vegetables. They don't just phone it in for their vegetarian customers; they do a good job. Areli V was a fantastic waitress to a table of 5 rowdy people. We had a get together there, some of us had not seen each other in 13 years; so there was a lot of talking and visiting. She was very patient with us as we ordered drinks and appetizers and slowly worked our way deciding on entrees. The guacamole was spectacular but a little pricey for the amount hidden under onion and a sand dollar flour tortilla garnish, with lettuce at the bottom. No matter, we scarfed two small orders down quickly. The queso blanco was extraordinary! It came with chicharrones which was a surprise, we ended up taking those home. Most everyone got a combination plate and decided it was too much food but made for great leftovers. A friend and I shared the chicken quesadillas, with all the veggies, which were thick, served piping hot and a full order was way more than enough to share. I liked the green sauce better than the red but used both. Hot chips kept coming! We stayed there 2.5 hours, with a second round of drinks and no pressure to leave.
