Walt and his relatives have made plenty of brass out of me over the years, but I don't resent it, as small kidlets and big kidlets alike still light up when you chuck an oversized stuffed animal of film appropriate characters at them. It may be a sad fact but it is true. From the cashing in of the newborn babies super cute baby grows and birth momentos, to the ever so cute toddler clothes and pyjamas, right the way through to the themed character costumes, and then beyond this to Disney's selection of toys, stationary, trinkets and other cartoon gifts, this is a kid's dream store. Like I said, I've never failed to make a kidlet smile when packing various items in a Disney box, complete with Disney fairy dust, and just watch the excitement unravel. Granted this may be a tad indulgent, and many things are overpriced, especially the DVDs, but for treats of special occasion magnitude, then I think it's totally worth it. White Rose's offering may now be a bit out of the way than the convenience of the Commercial Street store, but it's got most of the same things, and the staff are super happy to help. Extra perky is sprinkled on their cornflakes. Fact.

There's just something about the women's clothing that doesn't work and I can't put my finger on it. It's a bit too much like Gok Wan's come in with a pair of scissors and wreaked havoc. And there are too many frills. And there's also definitely too much purple. No no no. I've given it three stars though because we came in and Steve bought a really sexy navy blue military shirt that looks well hot.

This particular branch of Next is one of the better ones. It's always well stocked and tidy, with a…read morefriendly greeter on the door. The location is a bit odd though - it used to be near Debenhams, but now it's moved down near Sainsbury. I don't know if they get more foot traffic at this position, but it gives me a different impression about the shop somehow. My main issue with Next, and by that I mean all branches of the shop, is that the full range in the catalogue isn't available in the shops. I've never found a size 22 in any branch, including this one.

Anyway. It was half an hour before closing time, so ages to go, still plenty of shopping to be done. So I got some stuff to try on. And then I got into the changing rooms and what said my size on the hanger actually had a sale tag on a size smaller. And then when I realised it wasn't going to fit, I spotted it said a size smaller than even that on the inside. Which made me grumpy. And then I tried some of the sale stuff on and it was crap and then the non sale stuff was awful too. Really bad quality. Hot Steve and I reckon that they never try and sell all the pap normally that tips up in the sale items, because it's always always horrible, and then it ends up in a Next Clearance, and because we all think Next = Quality we get duped into buying it. It's a con! A CON I tell you! Also, I didn't like the layout of this Next. It seems to have a really low ceiling.
