What a great place for food! First time here and got there right when it opened for dinner. Thank god we did because it filled up fast. (Good idea to make reservations) Didn't catch the name but the waiter was awesome. He explained in detail the specials that were written on a chalkboard. All three meals we picked were from the board. We have the sea bass and vegetables , mussels and shrimp spaghetti and pumpkin stuffed raviolis. All were very good. Food for is no different than any organization, it's only as good as the people who breath life into it every day. These people bring this place to life, with a full house they never stopped and I watched as they made everyone including myself special. It was a long day for me I was tired and would have accepted much less, but I was welcomed In and seated, on a Saturday night with no reservation, I was waited on and shown great hospitality, from the food, wine and desert. I def love this little spot. We ordered take out from here once and it was underwhelming but then we ate here in person and it was amazing! We got a bunch of the specials and a bottle of wine and dessert. Our waiter was so friendly and kind. However he seemed to be the only person assisting all of the customers. So be prepared for a bit more relaxed service. As it was, the food was all amazing, the wine he chose for us pored perfect, and the dessert was delicious. It did take awhile for us to pay after requesting the check, but we didn't get upset - we recognized that he was doing his best. We will definitely return! read more

This place is a little family owned establishments with an outstanding customer service experience. The owner comes to the table to take your order, provides the daily specials and even sings the last song of the night. Have been here on multiple occasions since in Germany and never disappointed. You are received with a glass of Prosecco, the food is always on point and the desserts to die for. Simply love this place and the atmosphere it creates. As a local resident of Landstuhl, I have eaten at Momma Mia's several times and the food is great. However, there is one major negative about this place you should be made aware of before you decide to dine here. Plan to be at your dinner table from the time you sit down until they close. Being that there is one waiter, it takes forever to get your food and even longer to get the final bill / check. We made reservations for a birthday party of 8. The waiter was super friendly and dinner was amazing despite how long it took to get our food and wine. As the hours passed by, everyone was ready to go and we made mention to the waiter for the check and he quickly went from being cordial and friendly to upset and pissed off. As more time passed by, I went to his cash register and told him we had to go after being there for 3 hours. At that point he started talking smack to me and tried to guilt trip me for him having to wait on the entire restaurant. All this drama for simply asking for our check. I didn't even engage with him because I just wanted to get out of there but I took note; thus, you are reading this warning review. My impression of Momma Mia's and of him (our waiter) went to crap immediately being that I was the paying customer of a € 350 bill. Needless to say, I will not be going back to Momma Mia's due to the waiter's poor attitude and extra-long wait time. read more

Popped in for dinner last night and had a great experience. Seems like a family owned restaurant so "dad" was in the back making the orders. I had the grilled turkey and minestrone and both were delicious. What really made this a great dining experience aside from the ambience, personable waiter, and great food was that my friend, who had to observe a strict diet, had something to eat. "Dad" in the back, prepared something off menu for my friend. How nice right?! I would certainly go back. While slightly small, it did not feel cramped and the patrons seems like regulars. I was not made to feel very welcome here when I arrived...am single and did not have a reservation; I could tell right away that I had upset the server that greeted me at the door....she said "just one?" My order was taken after others that had arrived after me had ordered. I really wanted to just get up and walk out. I ordered the insalata caprese and it was ok. After eating that, I ordered the penne alla bolognese and am still waiting on it to come out; it was ordered to go so review will be pending until I taste it. Well, just got told the boss, aka the cook, forgot to make my pasta so it'll be an even longer wait...at least it'll be fresh. **UPDATE** I didn't eat the pasta until the next day and it was also just OK. I felt that the sauce needed a little more flavoring or additional Italian seasonings...was really looking for a little more garlic and oregano flavor. If you're going to eat here, make a reservation first, don't show up alone and make sure you have plenty of time because there appears to only be one server and one cook. Imagine finding a superb Italian restaurant in a small town in Germany! Well we did. A quaint little place ran by an Italian family. The waiter was the son of the cook. He was gracious and very pleasant to talk to. I took a chance and ordered one of the specials of the night, Seezunge or fresh Sole. The server brought it out whole and deboned it table side then plated it. Served with a fresh side salad and a small plate of garlic and olive oil tossed pasta. The fish was fresh, delicate, and superb! Everything I ate was perfectly prepared and delicious. I couldn't have asked for a better meal! Everyone at the table really enjoyed their meals but the Seezunge was the highlight of the night and the envy of everyone. I could tell there were regulars because the server greeted several couples by name and with a hug. This would definitely be a favorite and regular spot for me if I loved here. Mamma Mia Italian restaurant in Landstuhl is one of our favorites! We have been there twice and had a great experience both times. It is located in the old fire house and has an interesting atmosphere. The service and quality of food are both outstanding. So far, we've tried garlic bread, caprese salad, and fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. All are delicious and generously portioned! We will definitely be back! read more

This place is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in the local area. There are 3 Italian restaurants in the Landstuhl area (da Gino's & da Maria's) that are tied in together in some way (long story) but, this one stands out as the best among those 3. They only take cash, so be prepared. From their seafood dishes to alio e olio (I'm sure I spelled that wrong but I'm too lazy to google search it) - everything is super tasty. We always recommend this restaurant to folks looking for tasty Italian food. Who would've thought that Germany puts out some of the best Italian food. read more

Hands down the best I've had. I took my daughter here and the service is amazing. One waiter does the bar and all the tables and is extremely fast and efficient. Wasn't in the mood for Italian food but it was near our hotel so.... Really glad we did. The staff are friendly and helpful, the menu is varied and the food was excellent. I had a special off the board (lamb) and I have rarely had better! My wife had a pasta salmon dish which was equally good.
