It was easy tonight since I was too tired to trek around Wuppertal for dinner and it is literally next door. I don't get to have lamb often so whenever I see this on a menu I will usually try it. The first time I had the Lammhüfte dish and tonight the Lamm-Medaillons. Both dishes were amazing! If I remember correctly, the Lamm-Medaillons dish had a sweeter sauce than the Lammhüfte. I think I prefer the Lammhüfte as the sauce was more like a gravy and not as sweet.. For dessert, I had the Katajef. Oh my this dessert was very good. The serving size is good for two but since I am a lone traveler I had to eat both servings. I highly recommend this place. Not only is the food very good, the people are very nice. They do get busy as this is a popular restaurant so one must be patient. It might be good to know that for the non deutsch speaking customers they do have english menus and some of the servers do speak english. So this was very helpful for me and I really appreciated. Another note, they do not accept American credit cards. Classically, it's filled with chicken. There are also variations without meat like one with Halloumi cheese or falafel. One other great thing: Every guest gets a small cup of Arabic style cinnamon tea (that can even be bought for a reasonable price to make at home). It doesn't depend on what you order - it's standing on the shelf where you order and shortens the waiting time. Although that's not needed most of the time as you'd rather burn your mouth from finishing the great, hot tea than finishing it before the friendly staff serves it to you. You can get the meals either as a bread to take with you or as a plate dish to sit down. Well, you may also sit down with the bread, but the portion in the bread is only if you are not that hungry. That's because I like them - the Schawarma doesn't make you feel sick after eating them like it happens after a really big Döner. Well what I want to say, if you are really hungry, you better choose a plate dish. They also taste great.

The food is so refreshing, so great for eating on a hot day. I was also amazed by the price of the food, it is so cheap for such large portions. I ate my meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner again the next day in a wrap. I actually got the appetizer platter instead of a meal but I can't imagine eating anything after that it was so filling! They also gave us complimentary tea and baklava, and before the meal some bread with dip, it was absolutely amazing. I would (and will) definitely come here again.
