I had called Don with DML before our arrival to have a dumpster on site. Not knowing what we were getting into, we filled that dumpster in 1 day, I called DML on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, accepting the fact that we probably could not get a second dumpster before the Holiday, BUT, Don's friendly voice assured me he'd have another dumpster delivered the next day. On Thanksgiving we filled that dumpster. Now, knowing that the company was closed for a four-day holiday weekend, I called DML on Friday, Don answered and apologized and confirmed that the company was closed for the weekend. My phone rang about an hour later and it was Don, he went on to tell me that he understood my situation and that he had gone into work and loaded a dumpster that he personally would deliver to the house within 30 minutes, if I wanted. We were able to fill that last dumpster and make our flights back to Florida the next morning. Don, you are a "Rock Star" I cannot say Thank you enough! I needed to wash comforters and they have several HUGE washing machines and in the smaller area there are commercial washers and dryers. It was $9.50 to use a very large capacity washer. Another plus-it's down the street from the library and I can get a book while I wait.

It's my favorite local thrift store. I seem to always score awesome finds whenever I come. The prices can't be beat! I got a nice St. James Nike basketball hoodie for $3. Hardcover golf books for .50 each! An electric blood pressure monitor for $2! Obviously this is a thrift store so the quality depends on each item. From what I've seen, most of the shoes seem VERY worn and in poor condition but other items are great. Will come back here each time I'm up visiting. I know my sister comes here like 2-3x per week.

It's also great because you can drop off the three thousand plastic bags that the nice baggers at the Country Mart like to give out - the city recycles them, but just won't accept them in the curbside pick up because they'll end up "blowing all around town." There's also a compost pile on site (not open 24 hours a day, see website for hours) that accepts yard waste, and gives out free compost in the springtime! I was kind of sad they don't accept food waste as compost, but it's better than nothing. Keep up the good work, city and citizens of Rolla!!
