Since age 3 my son has been in a self-contained special education classroom setting classified for Communication impaired. Today Jaden is 9 years old in the 4th grade. We brought him to LearningRx in Marlboro because he struggled to read and he needed help. When we brought him in for an assessment we found that he struggled to read on a First grade level and was very lacking in confidence. After speaking with the owner, Michael, he was able to assure us that his program could help Jaden. We were a little reluctant but felt we had nothing to lose - we were desperate to get help for our child. Jaden worked with Mrs. Sue three times a week for 6 months and at the end of the program my son was reading!! What LearningRx and Mrs. Sue was able to do for our son was nothing short of AMAZING! They were able to bring Jaden back to the basics of sound and reintroducing him to "non-sense" words (that when you think about it makes absolute sense) that would be necessary for sounding out the syllables to form words. Not only do we see his confidence improving in each passing day but he is no longer in a self-contained classroom setting. He's now in mainstream classes and is pulled out for 2 hours each day for Math and Reading. This is HUGE for Jaden! Not only does this challenge him academically but he is able to build up his vocabulary and comprehension skills which was something that he was not getting in his old classroom environment. Our words can never articulate what we feel in our hearts, so please just know that we're are forever indebted to you for giving our child that glimmer of hope that everything is going to be just fine. The experience we have had had been beyond nightmarish. We have called the office and left numerous messages and the priest will not return our phone call. The secretary in the office is the rudest person we have ever dealt with. I am beyond disgusted at the treatment we have received. I cannot believe this is the way a "church" treats people. They have made a very sad time unbearable. We have been life long Catholics and have planned funeral masses in Catholic Churches in the past and never have experienced anything like this. I would not attend this "church" ever. "Pat" in the office needs to find another job. Disgusting behavior from a place that preaches love and forgiveness. This place is a disgrace. Find another church if you can. Their words certainly don't support the actions we have experienced. If I could give this place zero stars I would but that is not an option.

Students seeking housing due to medical issues are NOT prioritized. There is NO conflict resolution for dealing with problem room mates. Rooms can be reserved for the upcoming semester- which is RIDICULOUS that you may not get your same room if someone else reserves it! The staff advisors from housing to the bursars office come off as random, unqualified individuals in these positions. A few of their professors are also quite questionable, leaving one to wonder how they screen their teaching staff. From the lack of communication to their very basic, outdated website I now have learned that GCU isn't nearly as put together as some of the local Community Colleges. Certainly not a place I'd ever consider again.
