This place charges a bunch of money for a haircut and their reasoning is all the amenities you are supposed to get. This place does not participate in any of its amenities. They just charge you a whole bunch of money for their mediocre haircuts. I remember at one point in time when this place offered drinks, sports to watch, music to listen to or anything that you would care to watch. This place is always dusty, just look up next time you're there. They had a change in ownership and pretty much the quality of this place just went downhill. They stripped it of what this place used to be good for and left it to its bones but still charges you a ridiculous amount. read more

After getting my haircut at places like Great Clips for the last 20+ years I decided to try something different. I went in for a haircut, beard trim and coloring. I checked all the places in Delray Beach for a suitable shop. I came across ManCave. After seeing all the 1 star reviews on Yelp I decided to pass and tried some others. Unfortunately, the other places in my area were booked for the next several weeks. I decided to take the risk and give it a shot with ManCave and chose an appointment with Fernando. I have to admit I had very high expectations for the service since the cost was 5X what I would normally spend for a haircut. I walked into the store and the friendly receptionist greeted me and offered me a drink. The place looked very nice and clean. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fernando was ready and waiting for my arrival. He took me to his station and I sat down. We spent several minutes discussing the services I booked and what exactly I was looking for[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Normally when I get my haircut I prefer not talking because it usually feels like the stylist is just trying for force a conversation but Fernando I found to be very engaging and I enjoyed the chit chat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with the haircut and beard trim and after about 30 minutes he finished. Normally I just get a buzz cut with electric clippers so a real haircut with styling is a new experience for me but I have to admit when he was done I was very happy with the way it looked. My beard looked really nice and trimmed. My only complaint was the beard was shorter than I hoped but I think that was more because of the way it grew unevenly and not the mistake of the stylist. Next we moved onto the coloring which is the part I was most nervous about. I have tried getting rid of my grey several times in the past and it never turned out well so I stopped trying. I decided to give it a go one more time at a more professional hair salon. He showed me the color options and we briefly discussed what I was hoping for. He spent time putting on the hair color making sure it got into my hair and beard. He washed it out and restyled my hair and I have to say it was quite the surprise looking in the mirror. I almost did not recognize myself. I think I looked 20 years younger. I was not sure about the shade of color that it turned out but after I got out in the sunlight and looked at it I was very happy. I wanted to look younger but without it looking like an obvious dye job and it was. Several people commented about the cut of my hair and did not really notice the color and that is what I was going for. I am really glad that I have this shop a chance because I was very happy with the results and I think I got what I paid for which made the price unimportant. I did not find the prices at this salon higher then other local businesses but I just never went to a real hair salon before and now I think I will definitely go back. What a great place! Bought a Father's Day gift card for my husband last year and her is hooked! Navaz works her magic with a great cut and straight razor shave. He tells everyone what a great shave he gets. Treated him just yesterday for an early Fathers Day gift and as he was getting his service I snuck back in to buy another gift card. They were super nice and when I decided to stay and wait for my husband to finish, every staff person that walked by offered me something to drink. Rude staff! Poor customer service!!! Tami was rude disrespectful demeaning and offensive when I spoke with her after arriving 9 minutes late for my appt. I received a call when I was on my way (a 30 minute drive) to tell me they wanted me to come in early due to a cancellation. I told them I could not be early due to the long drive and warned them that I will be a few minutes late The door was locked when I arrived and Tami then berated me about how she has a party to get to and will not stay to cut my hair. She made no effort to reschedule or accommodate me in any way and her receptionist was equally rude. This was all at 3:39 on a Sunday when I had a 3:30 hair appt. The store is open until 4 according to their posted schedule. I know it is a Sunday, but it is not fair to take out your own misery on your customers. Please take your business elsewhere. Do not go here if you care about possibly catching Covid or the flu. Barbers don't wear masks, don't believe in vaccinations and don't think they can spread disease working directly in front of clients indoor. Absolutely no safety precautions in the midst of pandemic claiming more than 1,200 American lives a day. Other customers also didn't wear mask. "We're in Florida, we don't believe in Covid," my barber said. It was halfway through, so didn't get up to leave, but I was tempted. If you are looking for someone who is elite and a master at their craft you need to go see Josh at ManCave. My first haircut with Josh was a great experience. Josh is friendly, outgoing, conversational and above all a master at his craft. You get the immediate feel he loves what he does and it shows in his haircuts. After moving down to Florida from PA I had a person that cut my hair for over 17 years of my life. So needless to say when I came down here I needed to find a place and a person that I would be over the top happy with. I found ManCave and gave it a try. My first impression walking in was that it was clean and modern looking. Additional perk is the beer if you're feeling thirsty on haircut day. I was a walk in and luckily got paired up with Josh. Super friendly introduction and welcoming attitude. I wasn't sure what to expect but I sat down in his chair and he got to work. He found out what kind of haircut I had before, what I liked, what I wanted for a haircut. Josh is detailed and wants to make sure you don't just get a haircut but that you get an experience. I got just that, a great experience. I even changed my hair style recently, which I also haven't done is 17 years. After using the Boca location a few times, I got a haircut in Delray since it is closer to my house. The woman did a great job, so I figured I'd stick with it. Showed up for my appointment last Sunday and was told that I wasn't on the schedule, and neither was my son. We could "wait if we wanted." No thanks. Fast forward to today. I wouldn't trust their scheduling. Certainly don't book 1st appointment in AM! First of all, they tell you to arrive 15 minutes early, but they don't open the door15 minutes early. They should either do that, or schedule the first appointment with a 15 minute offset (10:15). When I suggested this fix, the person at the desk gave my "favorite" response for a company that doesn't ingrain customer service or employee commitment: "It's not my company." And then they followed up with the ever-inspiring "this stuff happens all the time". The first worker showed up at 10, unlocked the door, and left us outside. Others dragged in shortly afterwards. Nobody started at 10. The person scheduled to take care of me didn't even know they had an appointment and didn't show up at all. They couldn't have cared less about this, and simply pushed back my services by an hour. It didn't bother them, so why should it bother me? Who knows what it would have done to those scheduled behind me. I canceled all three scheduled services. When I walked out, I received an e-mail informing me my appointment had been "changed" to a new time (an hour later). I bet everyone scheduled after me received one also. Oh yeah, they have terrific automated reminders (which they should send to their own staff), but when they are screwing up and need to change things around, maybe a phone call would be the thing to do. I received a call much later in the day, not apologizing but offering me a discounted return visit, which I remain disinterested in. It's not about money. Maybe they should remember that point. I'm a local business owner who scheduled his time in order to be groomed for a trade show taking place that evening. It took a while to coordinate both schedules for an early appointment. I'm sure they will do well with those of leisure who aren't annoyed or impacted by such careless inefficiency and lack of concern or professionalism. There are plenty of those folks around this time of year. I hope they think of me during the summer months. read more

Ok so here is the deal. Shannon is the BEST! I moved out of FL 3 years ago for business and have not had the opportunity to get back until this past weekend. One of the 1st things i told my wife was i need to get to DELRAY to see Shannon so I can get a GREAT haircut. I seriously mean a GREAT haircut, she cut my hair for 3 yrs prior to me moving and I have not been able to find anyone who can cut my hair the way she does. the time she takes to do a fade and make it on point is an art that is very hard to find. Prior to finding Shannon I had not let anyone do a skin fade on me since the military. Now she is the ONLY one who can. If I was able to give 100 STARS I would. She to me is well worth the drive and wait. To give you an idea. I was in Vero Beach for a wedding and drove to her for a haircut (90 min plus each way). Whats does that say abou the quality.
