I have had Dom and his team do two different installations in my Vermont house. While we shopped locally and provided him with the mfg information, Dom was incredibly helpful in guiding us towards brands and carpet types that would look great and save us money. Due to our schedule we allowed them to enter our home when we weren't present and everything went smoothly. Dom was extremely flexible when we had to reschedule due to our contractors mismanagement of completion dates. We just had Dom do a second installation of a stairs runner and once again, had no problems with them doing it when we weren't home. I wish I could give this business no stars. My family and I were hoping to get a carpet replaced in our home in Peru. When we went to visit, we were told they did not have the carpet we wanted available and attempted to upcharge us with other carpet. We returned to confirm and they SUDDENLY had what we were looking for. After many attempts to connect and meet, they did not return any phone calls. When we finally were able to get someone on the phone, they used rude and defamatory language. Absolutely unacceptable and no way to treat a potential client. I am appalled by their behavior. Dom & his crew did a great job replacing the floors in our condo at Mt Snow. We first heard about him from a realtor who showed us the floors he did in her office. Dom made it very easy for us, out of state owners. He recommended a product over the phone. We were able to look at it online and order samples to take to vt with us. I had a bad experience with this place. Dom, who I gathered to be the owner, did crappy work, and was pig headed about it. We had to replace the flooring in our kitchen, and this company was hired as a sub contractor by our contractor We requested that the floor match existing, but they installed an inferior grade of wide pine floors, and put the seams in main traffic areas. On top of that they did not match the finish over-the-top. When asked about this the company said they been doing this for 30 years! And couldn't understand why we wanted it redone. The lack of ANY focus on customer service caused me to change and use a company in Rutland instead. All I got at Manchester Carpet were excuses, lack of any follow up communication, lack of guidance on options, and delays in quotes. At a competitor in Rutland, after one call with them I received multiple options, pricing, delivery times, and follow up calls and emails as promised. Unfortunately I have had to make use of the services from Manchester Carpert Care quite a lot this winter and spring. They were very prompt in coming to my home to bring blowers and help remedy basement flooding caused by the huge amount of rain we experienced this winter. We also decided to replace the flooring in the office building. The whole experience was positive from start to finish and the final product is amazing. I am not sure what happened to cause the other 2 reviewers to post such poor scores, but if you have a flooring project in your future, at least visiting with Manchester Carpet Care should be part of your process. read more
