We had been to every other mattress shop in salinas and ikea, they were cheaper and had better selection. Plus layaway if you fall in love with a mattress out of your budget. We were greeted warmly, but thats about all the customer service we recieved. My husband and I just finished our visit here and the salesman greeted us and asked if we were looking for anything specific to which we replied stearns & foster, he pointed us in the right direction and told us the firmness levels of each. We told him we are in the market for this matress and comparing the purple mattress level 4. We continued to try the mattress and he left back to his desk after telling us to let him know if we needed anything. We then decided to look around some more mattresses just to make sure if there was something better than stearns and foster. My husband then asked the salesman where the Beautyrest matresses were and he told us. The entire time after we were greeted, the salesman stayed at his desk and didnt offer any additional help. It was confusing enough as the beds are not labled with the firmness so we ended up trying a lot of mattresses. We have been to Matress Firm where we recieved much better service where they stayed with us the entire time explaining each level, the brand and what their pros and cons are. This salesman did nothing of the sort, had he showed us more customer service or checked on us the entire 35 minutes that we were there, we would have bought the Stearns and Foster. We are now going elsewhere to buy this matress. We felt judged as if we werent capable of buying. My husband and I are both in automotive sales and understand that judging people can result in the loss of a sale. read more

Just wanted to post a follow up. The mattress we purchased ended up being a bit to soft for me (I'm a big guy). I had the mattress for about 2 months. I went into the store and spoke to Brad. I was able to exchange the mattress of a firmer one free of charge. Within a couple of days someone came to pick up the original mattress and deliver the new one. Hassle Free! We were in need of a new mattress and box springs set and based on Yelp reviews, Mancini's Sleepworld was on our list of stores to visit. Walking into the store we received a friendly greeting from Rico who asked if he could be of assistance. After explaining our needs, Rico asked a couple of questions to help guide us in our selection. He referred us to several groups of mattress sets from different manufacturers that he felt would meet our needs based on firmness and size. He then invited us to take as much time as we needed to try out as many mattresses as we like. He told us to let him know if had any questions, needed refreshments, etc and left us to explore our options. After trying out the recommendations, we took time to explore and view the rest of the store without interruption. We made our decision and Rico was readily available to help us out with final questions and finalizing our purchase. He was also able to arrange delivery for the NEXT DAY which was pretty impressive. Later on the date of purchase we were contacted by Mancini's with a delivery window. The delivery the following day was flawless. The driver called approx. 30 mins prior to arriving, they removed our old mattress set and installed the new one within 10-15 minutes. (We slept better than we had in years that night.) Overall it was an outstanding experience and we would not hesitate to refer Rico and Mancini's Sleepworld to anyone looking for a new bed. read more

bought a full size mattress from here a couple of weeks ago for my son's bunk bed. walked in, the salesperson Jake (not from state farm) knew what would work out best for his bunk bed without needing measurements, ordered the mattress and he even threw in a couple of throw pillows. was delivered when expected. no problems. super easy. he didn't try to sell us more than we needed like other places and the bed fit perfect. definitely will be going here again read more

I have been looking for a bed for a while and finally found a place and a salesperson I was comfortable with at Mancini's. Brad Jensen was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful that it actually made buying a bed a pleasant experience!! Brad took the time to explain all the features of the different beds and helped me determine which bed would be best for me which I really appreciated. And he did this while smiling the whole time and never making me feel as if I was being pressured or rushed which was great. Shopped around for a new mattress for our guest room in Seaside. Checked some local businesses, then, having purchased form Mancini's when we lived in the Bay Area, decided to make the trek to Salinas. Once we were there, I asked my wife why we had bothered going anywhere else. No upselling, no overselling. Got what we wanted, delivered when we wanted at the price we wanted to pay. We had been shopping for a mattress/box spring for some time. A daunting task to say the least. Then we walked into Mancini's this Sunday morning. Jake the store manager was more helpful than all of the other sales folks who were selling mattress' in other store. He explained what we needed to know and was able to try the different mattress firmness. In a little over an hour we were new mattress owners. I purchased one twin mattress because that was all that I needed, on Tuesday. Rod, the salesman, did not try to pressure me into buying anything else. Last week I had an uncomfortable time at another mattress store in Sand City where the saleswoman practically badgered me into buying a mattress, even though I told her I needed to go home and measure my bed frame. Rod at Mancini's listened to what I needed and directed me to the right purchase right away. He gave me choices among mattresses but did not try to pressure me at all. As it turned out, I bought the least expensive mattress, but this was not a problem at all. He arranged for delivery at my home. Tuesday evening, a couple of hours after I was in the store, a very nice woman called to schedule the delivery. She was very accommodating to my schedule and arranged for next day delivery. On Wednesday I received a phone call in the morning to confirm the schedule, then 15 minutes before delivery, I received another call just to let me know the delivery men were on their way. Even though I did not spent a lot of money in this store, I was treated nicely and efficiently. Now I know where to go if I need more bedroom furniture or if my friends and family want to purchase a new bed. read more
