vinyl trim separating after less than 6 months after the second install

Windows are less than 1 year old, and the vinyl trim has been incorrectly installed, repaired, and re-installed multiple times. They are slow to respond if they return your calls at all, and I had to sit on the phone and wait rather than trust them to get back to me. I am disappointed in the customer service and professionalism, and will continue to hound them until the quality is adequate. I've tried being patient, but at this point feel taken advantage of. I'm not even hoping for satisfactory at this point, I just don't want my windows falling apart after a few short months.

Unfortunately, I have to rate this store for an 1 star. I did give the store a chance to rectify the issue. I called last week to find out if the store has a 30 by 80 fiberglass door available, and what the installation price is. Art (the salesman) told me he has a customer returned fiberglass door available and he has an installer available. I reached out to the installer and asked about his price and decided to go with him and I ended up buying a 6 panel door from home depot. The guy who installed the door didn't do a bad job, but when i reached out to him to do a 2nd and 3rd door that he has seen and provided a quote in person, he backed off and said he is no longer available. I reached out to the store and asked the store to provide an invoice to his installation job and here comes the surprise. I am told the door this company was selling me is from "offerup" and the guy is selling has no warranty or company's invoice. I asked, why would I buy some offerup or craigslist from your store? Why do i need to buy it from you? I reached out to the store, and the manager told me, he is not gonna honor the installer's quote since he is not affliated with the store. The store price for installation labor of the 2 doors is $1200 per door, and i was quoted $650 by this guy at 1st. You guys be aware. you are probably buying something from "offerup" or craigslist from this store and the company would not honor their quoted price.

The initial visit to their showroom was completely stress-free. There was no pushy salesperson trying to upsell us. Instead, their staff walked us through all the available options, answered every question we had, and gave us the time we needed to look everything over and make an informed decision. Once we selected our door, the scheduling process was simple and seamless. They kept us well informed about the delivery timeline and were very accommodating with our schedule. On the day of installation, our installer, Danny, arrived right on time and was a pleasure to work with. He was extremely professional, worked efficiently, and delivered excellent quality. He also left the area as clean--if not cleaner--than he found it. We truly couldn't be happier with our new door. I've already recommended Hometime to a few friends and will continue to do so. If you're in the market for doors or windows, this should absolutely be your first stop--you won't be disappointed.

We were told that the wait is due to the process of the door being made. We explained before they started that we wanted to keep the baseboard of the front door but it wasn't kept. However, the company did reimburse us for $200 for the price of the board & installation. Once we had it installed we thought we were ready to go! However, quickly we noticed within a few days that the door was not closing properly. The handle would not reset when it closed and then within a few weeks it was not working at all. I immediately contacted them on March 7th. I explained the situation and was told to take pictures as requested by Chanel (warranty correspondent). I was told that they had to order new parts from Emtec and it would take a couple of weeks. We had agreed to set it up on Monday April 6th. The service man who arrived came over and immediately noticed that the parts needed to be ordered and the correct part were not ordered. However, I was told that the door should be working. Wow, that was far from the truth because immediately the door stopped working the next day. So we're back to square 1. Our door doesn't close because the handle on the door doesn't work. In the meantime, the only thing that worked and kept the front door closed was the security latch. If not the door would be wide open. I spoke to Chanel again, she said we had to order the part again. Apparently it was not ordered last week. In the meantime, we're paying for our door about $500 each month since February and yet our front door doesn't work. If you decide to work with this company please take the amount of time and the cost into consideration.

Thanks to this company I feel so much more safer because every time someone has broke my lock they have came out and fixed it. Thankfully the lock on the inside was what kept them out as I slept unknowingly to what was going on and housemates not home from their 4th of July family parties. Let me tell you that some companies quotes were near the 12000 range! When visiting these companies they didn't even have stock.. which of course means they are most likely purchasing cheaper and reselling to you.. Not Jimmy, Jimmy was amazing since I stopped in his office. Immediately he was so welcoming and has a HUGE warehouse full of front doors ( not just doors he is ordering from somewhere else) His price also beat these prices but literally almost HALF.. It was a week before labor day weekend and I really wanted the doors installed before the weekend holiday and he was able to get them installed for me! Another note, after getting the doors installed my kids somehow locked my dogs outside for some time and they scratched our front door pretty bad ... Jimmy came by and fixed the scratches for me within a few days.. Thank you so much Jimmy and Discount doors! I cant recommend you enough!

Out of the 5 David at So Cal windows stood head and shoulders above the others. Knowledge, advice, recommendations, ideas were all on point. Pricing was also comparable to the others so we pulled the trigger and went with them. The install date came and his crew showed up nice and early and began the day-long project which includes a rather large living room window. Johan was the foreman and I only have great things to say about him and how he handles his team. All very nice and respectful. The finished product looks and works like a dream. Give these guys a shot if you're looking to get windows replaced.

I came to Jack with a special request for an oddly shaped interior window I wanted added. He was able to work with me and my general contractor to design and install a custom soundproofed window. His pricing was very fair. Jack personally saw to my project and requests via text messages and calls. They were able to get a ridiculously fast one-week turnaround on the custom window, and took time out of their personal schedules to get the job done over the weekend. After installation, there was one small molding detail I wanted adjusted, and they came by the very next morning to take care of it. I really want to drive home the following points. If you have worked with a contractor in the past, you know exactly how important and rare these characteristics are: * The owner PERSONALLY took all my phone calls, messages, and texts in a timely manner * The team worked well with my general contractor * The installers performed work on a weekend * When I provided a punch list, it was corrected in less than 24 hours Every item in that list is as important as the quality of the installation, especially when you are stressed out and dealing with 5 different contractors while sleeping on your brother-in-law's couch. Did I mention the finished product's quality? It was beautiful and worth every penny. If you are in the market for windows, do not hesitate to call So Cal Window Pros. I cannot recommend them enough. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

What really stood out was their honesty and professionalism. After reviewing my issue, they were upfront that my specific track problem would be better handled by another specialist they trusted. That level of transparency speaks volumes. Instead of trying to take on a job that wasn't the perfect fit, they prioritized getting me the best outcome--and that says everything about their integrity and experience. The referral they provided was excellent. The person they connected me with did outstanding work, and it's clear they only recommend high-quality professionals who meet the same standards they hold themselves to. Even though they didn't perform the repair directly, I would absolutely recommend them as the first call for any sliding door issue. At minimum, you'll get a fast, knowledgeable assessment and be pointed in the right direction--whether that's with them or someone they trust. Scott was fantastic to work with--responsive, honest, and genuinely helpful. Really appreciate the guidance and referral.

Opening and closing that door has been like pushing something on square "wheels" over gravel--resistant, loud, and generally aggravating. Asking the rental office for repairs amounted to someone coming over and spraying W-D 40, which did nothing. Trying to adjust it ourselves didn't just do nothing--it made the problem even worse. So I went looking online for someone who might be able to fix it, and found https://slidingdoorsrepair.com. Their website offered compelling evidence that they could do it, so I called. I spoke with Scott, who asked for a few photos of specific things before he gave me a quote. He seemed very knowledgeable and straightforward. We set an appointment, and he not only called to remind me of it a few days before, but called the day of to let me know he was on his way and when he expected to arrive, which was at the very beginning of the initial two-hour window initially discussed. Though I was not looking at a stopwatch or anything, the whole process of repair took about 30 to 45 minutes by my estimation. It seemed to me to be very quick. But even if it had taken an entire day, it still would have been more than worth it. That sliding glass door (which is I don't know how old, but is by no means new) glides silently now, as if on air. It's truly a thing to behold. And look, I do understand that the smooth operation of a single door seems nothing in comparison to all the things in the world there are to worry about or need to be made better, but damn! I can't tell you how nice it is to have this one seeming little thing working so well now. Sometimes I just stand there, opening and closing it, for the sheer relief and enjoyment of the improvement. Seriously, before living here, I was living in a new construction house, and the brand-new sliding glass door there did not operate as well as this old one here does now. My girlfriend said she doesn't think she has ever encountered a slider that works better. My Dad (a DIYer by nature) and I both are still marveling, days later, at how quiet and easy it is now to open and close it. Again, I know it is a comparatively small thing, but it's kind of like the relief you feel when a car alarm that's been going off for hours--or years--finally stops. The quote Scott initially gave was no different than the price upon repair, and he and Oscar got the job done in an exemplary fashion in short order. I could not be more pleased with the results, or with my choice to go with this company.

Our installer, Danny Alonzo, was fantastic from start to finish. He has excellent communication skills and gave us a clear, realistic expectation of the time to completion. He was incredibly friendly, polite, and professional the entire time -- I honestly wish every contractor or vendor we use could be as good as Danny! We picked a custom color and the door came out exactly the shade we chose. It's solid, heavy, and makes a huge difference compared to our old door. We had bought and pre-painted our own interior moulding, and Danny installed it perfectly with no issues at all. I'm terrible at making clean silicone joints around moulding, but he did an amazing, professional job on them. He even went above and beyond when he noticed some stucco damage around the front door. He pointed it out to us and patched it beautifully -- way better than I could have done myself, lol! The finished door looks absolutely beautiful. My wife and I weren't 100% sure what to expect, but the quality and the final result made the entire expense completely worth it. The door feels rock-solid and looks incredible. We couldn't be happier! Highly recommend Danny Alonzo and this whole service. Thank you!

We had no question that Hometime would replace the window...and it's both well constructed & beautiful, with two perfectly working locks. The install was done by Eduardo and his crew. It was an early morning appointment, but Eduardo showed up in time. Both he and the other installer were friendly, efficient, and clean. They took less than 2 hours, door knock to exit, and left not a scrap or bit of dust in their perfect install.
