I'm so amazed with Mandap creations that I don't even know where to begin. They went beyond our expectations. Due to family circumstances, we had to plan an entire wedding in only 3 weeks. My husband and I used Mandap Creations to decorate our wedding in December 2017 and primarily worked with Dipti. I still keep dreaming our wedding and cannot get over how absolutely amazing the decor was all weekend!! This review has been long overdue... We used Mandap Creations for our wedding decor back in June 2011 upon a recommendation from a friend. They were absolutely fabulous to work with! Their pricing was reasonable in my opinion, especially for the quality and selection of decor, and most importantly, their customer service. They quoted me a price and then didn't change it even after I changed which style pillars I wanted (I got fancier ones) and color/fabric scheme of the wedding decor! They even patiently worked with me at two different appointments to go through all of the options to figure out what looked good and really try to make sure I was happy with everything (I changed my mind about the backdrop material/color scheme twice!). They never made me feel like I was inconveniencing them even though I would change my mind every now and then! On the day of the wedding, they were set up early for the wedding and it was beautiful! On top of that, our wedding venue/hotel only gave us 30-45 minutes to break down and clear out everything after the wedding (that part kind of sucked from the hotel), but Kanak was there with his team and they worked quickly and efficiently and were out of there in less than 45 minutes! That really impressed me (especially since some of the other vendors I had gone to said they would charge me extra if I wanted it cleared out in that short amount of time b/c they would have to hire more people). Also, being that I didn't have any family here in Houston to help with getting things for the actual ceremony, Kanak really helped me and told me what all I needed for an Indian wedding, and even threw in some of the pieces at no extra charge! It really made me feel at ease before and during the wedding b/c I felt like I never had to hassle with them about anything and I knew they would take care of all the little details. I can't say enough good things about the Mandap Creations team. We planned our wedding in Houston while living in SF, and no one was in town to see things in person. In the very few meetings we had in person, Dipti was able to capture our vision for an elegant, understated, and romantic look. Since we weren't able to do the outdoor wedding we wanted, we wanted to bring that look indoors, and Dipti knew exactly how to do it. We wanted a garden feel without a ton of flowers because we wanted to avoid a lot of waste being the environmentally conscious couple we are. This might have been seemingly a difficult theme to pull off without the obvious floral elements, but Dipti knew how to do it. We also didn't want anything gaudy or over-the-top. She was patient in answering questions, sending photos, and helping us to envision what everything would look like on day-of. She even helped us incorporate DIY decor we made. It's really hard to picture everything when picking out centerpieces and fabrics, but Dipti was reassuring that it would be beautiful. It was her advice that really helped guide the process along. It's difficult to pick out decor for so many events, especially when you're so far away, and Dipti helped us make important decisions when we were in town in terms of the larger design elements, and then we left the rest to her. In general, Mandap Creations was also so accommodating in adding last-minute decor and making changes when things changed on our end. After meeting with three decorators for our Houston Indian ceremony, Mandap Creations was the best choice by far. We knew right from the start that Mitul would be great and easy to work with. At our first meeting, he walked us through all of the different options for mandaps and decorations we could choose from, including chair covers & sashes, centerpieces, backdrops, and way more. It was a pleasure working with Mandap Creations. We are very impressed with how efficient they were with planning the decorations for our ceremony and reception, especially given how a good part of the planning/coordination was long distance since we don't live in Houston. We worked with Karishma and Dipti, and have only good things to say about them! They were very patient and accommodating throughout the long distance coordination, even though that meant additional back-and-forth's and emails at times. The long distance planning meant that even details like the specific linens, drapery, and centerpieces were first chosen/shortlisted via a series of phone calls, emails and FaceTime before they were approved in person - which could have potentially led to complications. But there was no need to have so many because during her meetings she makes sure she covers everything that is needed and she has her homework done before going into meeting. However at the same time you have to be willing to do your homework too for her to have a successful meeting, which I always made sure I did. Every time my husband and I walked into an event we were just amazed to see the work her team had done we were just speechless. We would just have to take a few minutes just to walk around the room to admire every little detail. Oh before I forget to mention.
