Mandee's is good 65% of the time. It's better than most of the other pizza places in the area: consistent taste, good ratio of sauce-to-dough, great sauce taste, and not typically a long wait. I haven't tried their subs in a few years, but I used to be a fan of their chicken kebab subs (and the pizza). I'd come here over flying saucer, but they could be better. The staff is typically not in the best mood--they seem to be under pressure from having so many orders. But there is usually a friendly girl in the front to take orders. I mention this because the energy a person has when they make food, affects the food so it's important to be mindful how much the staff appreciate their jobs and cooking in general. They have 6 tables to eat in, but I'd rather take-out. Ambiance: 3/5 Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5

We ordered on a Sunday night and loved the online order option. Easy pickup, friendly staff and good menu. The pizza is good. Not great. Definitely can tell they use fresher ingredients than most pizza places so kudos there. I ordered the sicilian and it was just a slightly thicker pizza. Traditionally, sicilian style would be more thick, square. However, I understand interpretation can be different. I think Mandees really has something going here. Unfortunately the pizza here just didn't hit the mark for me personally. I'll definitely give it another go in the future.

They didn't have a Hawaiian Calzone, but employees were kind enough to make it for me!

The service was great, took maybe 8 minutes for the food to come out, and I asked for ranch which was included! The pizza itself was very nice, I would definitely recommend!

Tried this place last week and really liked it! The service was spectacular and the venue was spacious. I just got cheese pizza which was definitely tasty and had HUGE slices for pretty cheap (2.50 a piece). My friend got a giant turkey sub which she highly recommended. They also had a HUGE selection of drinks (juices, teas, sodas, and a few beers). The fries were also crispy and delicious. I would have given it a 5 buuuut the prices were a bit high for other meals (all between 12-15 dollars). Apparently you get a ton of food with each meal, but I'd rather more reasonably sized meals with a lower price. I will be back, just splitting a meal with a friend next time.

Our family has ordered pies from all over Salem and Peabody and this is by far the best. The owner or manager is very friendly and I remember that when they got new ovens he called us to find out if the pizzas tasted good and how the service went. I recommend trying their Sicilian style pizza it's very good.

The funky outer-space theme is packed with incredible memorabilia, including signed items from Star Wars, Star Trek, The X-Files, and more. Everywhere you look there's something interesting to check out while you wait for your food. The pizza absolutely lived up to the hype; fresh, flavorful, and worth the trip. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and made sure our family had everything we needed. They had unfortunately run out of their famous garlic rolls, so we tried the gluten-free garlic slices instead. While we appreciated having an alternative, they just weren't the same. One funny family moment: my youngest was afraid to use the bathroom because of all the graffiti on the walls! Once I explained it was part of the restaurant's quirky aesthetic, he laughed about it. One small heads-up for future visitors: there is a step immediately outside the exit that can be easy to miss. My son took an unexpected tumble walking out. Thankfully, he wasn't hurt, but it's worth watching your step. Overall, the incredible pizza, unique atmosphere, and excellent service made this a place we'd happily visit again. If you're in the area, this place is definitely worth a landing.

You don't actually get fries with your sandwich. No, that's considered a "luxury item" here--almost $10 for a pile of potatoes, as if they were hand-carved from marble. At those prices, you half-expect them to come with a certificate of authenticity. The dining setup is another puzzle. The ordering area is cavernous--roomy enough to host a small wedding--while the actual tables feel like an afterthought, crammed into tight corners and always overcrowded. Locals? Forget it. This place runs on tourist cash, and it shows. You'll find yourself trying to enjoy a slice while being elbowed by a family of seven comparing witch trial souvenirs. Service is friendly, but basic. Don't expect table delivery; if you want your food, you'll need to stage a retrieval mission across the crowded floor while balancing your overpriced fries like they're a Fabergé egg. Still, here's the kicker: the food is so good you'll put up with it. The pizza's delicious, the sandwiches are exceptional, and the fries--financial robbery aside--are worth it. Four stars because the food carries the place on its back. One star off for charging champagne prices in a paper-plate joint.

April 17, 2026 I…read morewent with my parents tonight to the Adriatic Restaurant (Washington Street), Salem, MA. We've started having dinner out twice a month and this was the most recent experience. I had gone online to the NORTH SHORE DINNING PAGE on Facebook and asked people about their experiences with the restaurant in the last two days and here's what people said: "great, tender meatballs", "great eggplant parmigiana", "very good experience". .... And what we found out is that they were right. Those things were all true! Now.... As to what we ordered: I got the grilled octopus. It was the only partial miss on the menu. Arugula just doesn't make a very good sauce and it was a pretty bad base for what would otherwise might have been a great appetizer. My mother got the Caesar salad. It was good. It's a hard thing to screw up. My father ordered the meatballs. They were amazing and delicious - just like Facebook promised. The tzatziki sauce was good. Maybe not as good as mine, but good nonetheless. So dinner.... Mine was the Chicken Saltimboca. It was so good that I'd bathe in the sauce they make with it. I loved eating forkfuls of the chicken with bites of the mashed potatoes. That was really luxuriant. My mother had the Eggplant parmigiana and she wiped out the entire plate. She loved it. My father.... Beef tenderloin tips. Maybe cooked slightly too much, but delicious. He wiped out the plate. To drink.... I was out of the hospital and recovering from brain tumor surgery, so I had the hard cider (3.5% BV), my father had the Peroni (Italian) beer, and my mother had the Bud light. I tasted the Peroni and liked it very much. The hard cider had almost no sweetness to it. It was dry as a higher end brut champagne.... Which actually set off the meal really nicely. My tastes weren't clashing and that was good. Our waiter, Sean, was great. Ask for him! We left a $32 tip, so the bill came to $197.85

This also really lacked flavor, and I was yearning for more tomatoes. The service was great and our waitress Leanna was attentive and super sweet. They had clean bathrooms and ample parking out front and around the block. However, the food wasn't memorable, and I don't think I'll go out of my way to return.
