That's when Mandy's popped up, so we decided to give it a chance. The woman in the from (Brenda? That's what it said on the receipt) took our order. She was very nice. We ate inside. They have maybe 4-5 tables. It wasn't packed. Place was clean. I did see a lot of people come in to pick up orders. We got the Mandy's Special & it was really good. I work around the entire valley. When I saw this shop I looked at reviews and said let's give it a shot. If I met Mandy I would give them the biggest hug. I've been craving proper fish and chips. I've never been happier with fish in chips in this state. Firstly, if you guys need more sauce just ask lol. The Cod I had was battered to perfection. Mandy's is a place I frequent. I have had some great experiences and some not so great. The lack of consistency makes me say I'm not going back but after some time I tend to give them another try. This time I ordered fried zucchini for the first time. I didn't eat here. I just did a pickup but it smelled amazing as soon as I walked in. The kool-aid flavors are Down to the bottom so folks must like it lol. The staff were all women. They are super friendly and attentive. One of the staff was mopping the floor and the mop was scalding. My grandma said if your water ain't hot like that, you just moving dirt around so....her floors are probably clean enough to eat off of (don't do it though). The food was piping hot when it came out. I've been to this spot three times since I moved to this area. I have tried the fish n chips twice; both the English batter on cod and the catfish. It just didn't fit my palate. Bad customer service. Online system does not work, if you wait for an email confirmation as the website indicates your order is ready you will not receive it! Hour and half later still no email. Baseline sent order to 16th street and either location will not issue a refund. 16th street said they do not have the system to do that. This place just lost a customer. I love fried Gizzards and I have my husband call in an order of 2 ten pieces about once a week. So you would think I know what burnt gizzards look like.
