Do not go here. The staff is rude, the food is tasteless. First of all, we arrived and sat outside. The umbrella closed and hit my girlfriend on her head, no big deal. I had to reopen the umbrella myself. (The umbrella was about 10ft wide). It was getting a bit too cold so we decided to ask the waiter at the front to sit somewhere else. She said we cannot change tables! What is wrong with these people? You're starting to feel cold and all they can say is that we cannot change tables?! Do you even care about how comfortable customers are feeling? The waitress was rude! Then we had to wait for a new table. We then sat at our new table where our drinks were waiting. The chicken soup I ordered arrived. It was tasteless! Imagine drinking a diluted chicken stock with 2-3 pieces of finely diced carrots. I didn't even know what the noodles was because I never tasted it. One spoonful was enough. 10 minutes later, one of the servers arrived. I told them the food was tasteless and I'd like to send it back. She was also rude saying that I needed to pay for it. Imagine having to pay for something that was tasteless. Poor customer service. Very long waiting time, food wasn't very good and we felt sick in our stomachs after eating!

Today I went out with my friend to show her Manekin, since I always loved this place. I was a regular customer, but surely not after today. The restaurant right now feels like it is so popular that they don't care anymore about how they treat people. Me and my friends was shown a little table in the back next to the kitchen, coffee machines and so on, really crowded and loud, so I said to the waiter that we will wait for another table. She came back after a minute saying that there surely won't be any table free for at least an hour, which was an obvious lie for everyone who knows how Manekin works: people are coming in and leaving every few minutes. Therefore, we left the table and waited next to the doors, I saw one person from the queue sitting next to one table, and another table paying the bill, so we waited for that one. The waiter from before, came to us and said 'that this is a restaurant and you cannot freely choose where you want to sit, you sit where they tell'. Obviously no actual restaurant works like this. After 5 minutes waiting, another waiter came to us saying 'oh girls, but you surely don't think you can sit here, we have other customers here, I won't give them that table in the back' It was said with such a shameless manner. It really struck me. To be highlighted it was normal table for 4 people, like any othe We ended up sitting in the table for 8 people. The table that we "SURELY CANNOT SIT was given to another 2 women. The thing is, how can waiters treat two university students in such a bold way. As if we we do not deserve respect. I am totally disappointed. I always recommended this place, right now I surely will not and won't ever visit this place again. A superb experience in service, food and atmosphere. The place is just a long block off the main square of the palace of culture. It's in a beautiful old building. Inside you have tall ceilings, multi level (not floors just 1-2 foot levels) seating area and true to theme manakin decor. The place is filled with Warsaw hipsters and curious tourists. The specialty are or course polish crapes but they aren't truly "polish". They have polish aspects is more like it. They cater to every taste and want. The vegetarian salad with beets and goat cheese was surprisingly sublime. The slightly warm temperature on the baby beets was probably what put that dish over the top. The meat and veggie crapes were outstanding too. When that's practically all you do, you get the recipe right I suppose. I would caution that on weekends you should expect to wait in line. read more

The only reason I give this establishment 2 stars is because of its interesting interior. Other than that this restaurant has a multitude of problems. Their coffee cups came out sticky to the touch, and the wait time for food took an hour. When we finally got the food and we're expecting to enjoy this meal, the salad had something almost sandy in it that made it impossible to chew (mind you that the salad was just lettuce, tomato, and onions). After finishing whatever was edible we asked for the check and proceeded to wait another 30 minutes. Overall the staff was inconsiderate and the food was not worth it. read more

I've been here several time because it's one of the best places in Warszawa where to eat! They have a lot of crepes (saulty and sweetes) and also some kind of polish soups. Zurek is amazing and it costs just 9zl...go there it's a good choice! read more

This was a great place and from the moment they open there is a question of people out if the door so be prepared to wait but it's definitely worth it. Me and my partner shared zurek and a lasagne crepe it was delicious and you got loads. I then had the pancakes with Nutella and m&ms wow this was amazing and you got loads I was too full after my main course so I took the rest home. I prob wouldn't have two courses again as you got so much food and I was way too full. The staff were really friendly and helpfull highly reccomend if your in Warsaw. read more

Cheap and tasty food and quality staff! After looking at the photos on TA and also seeing the long queue on Sunday morning, I decided to try this place out. The decor is cozy and the seating arrangement modernized. I think on weekday mornings there is no extensive brunch menu but the breakfast options were ample enough. It was funny how the waiter said "is that all?" making me feel as if I should have ordered more than a veggie omelette. . . Because when my omelette came out it was almost as big as my head! Today we enjoyed a five star breakfast at Manekin, this was our first time eating here and we loved everything about it. The food was delicious, we started with breakfast crepes stuffed with eggs and bacon, perfectly seasoned perfectly cooked eggs. Next we had some wonderful fruit crepes, mine were filled with mascarpone and raspberries, my wife's had white cheese and vanilla, both came with raspberry sauce. The crepes for both dishes were nicely flavored, the perfect thickness and cooked to perfection. The fresh squeezed orange juice was sweet and yummy and the Latte was also very nice! The restaurant was super busy but worth the wait. The ambiance inside was quirky and nicely decorated and was very clean. Our service was amazing, our server was attentive and polite and checked in on us throughout the meal. It was a perfect breakfast and we will be returning soon! read more

It's a different thing in Warsaw: a place devoted only to crepes and pancakes (sweet and sour) and I'm a fan for that. Pros: - big diversity in the menu will please everyone - meat lovers, vegetarians or a sweet mouth. - It's big. Yes, the portion is really enough for 1 person. Or to share - also perfect. - Prices. Crepe with meat + other ingredients can be around 16-18zl. Trust me, is worth it. Fresh ingredients, big crepe (the size of a square plate) and full of ingredients inside. Plus, you can choose 2 sauces, which goes very well with it. - Decoration. Is different from other places and you feel welcomed there :) Cons: - waiting time. I think is the main complaint of anyone that ever tried to go there once in life. I went twice, I waited 30min in the queue outside. EVERYONE DOES. Spring, Autumn, Winter or Summer. Is it -14degrees? WHO CARES. Also, inside you'll wait +30min for your food to be served. Other obs: hot wine is good but not very big - 9zl. Crepe with salmon is really good Although all the pros, I truly advise you to go there with a lot of free time. Apparently a popular chain in Poland that just made it to Warsaw. Couple of times I passed by this place there was a huge line outside. I finally made it here on Thursday around 3 pm, and got seated in 5 min. We ordered potato soup, 2 kinds of crapes and mulled wine. Oh! that potato soup...was just insane. Creamy, smooth, topped with sauteed onion and fried bacon - heaven. Crapes were huge and delicious, I tried spinach mozzarella, and chicken with mushrooms in bechamel sauce. These were not the best crapes I ever had, but were pretty decent, made with fresh ingredients and you get to choose from dozens of kinds. What was absolute surprise is the check!! 48 zl (!) for everything I mentioned is crazy cheap. No wonder there are all these people lined up outside. read more

If you are American or present yourself as one here you will be denied proper service. Aparently pancakes are not available even when everyone else in the restaurant is eating them. The beers brought out are warm. I also have to say that the waitress attitude is also piss poor. If you are also trying to have a conversation inside don't bother: the music is so loud it's as of you are in a club.
