My favorite food of all time is chicken. Specifically fried chicken, but my cousin told me that Mang Inasal made some bomb grilled chicken. It's a fast food joint, but he wasn't lying. For the relatively low price of about ₱100, I got a chicken quarter, dark or white, and all the rice I could eat. It was some really good chicken for really cheap. I got a spicy dark quarter and a regular white quarter. Both were cooked well, and not dry. The flavors from whatever they use to marinade it penetrated the meat all the way through. Definitely a solid lunch option when you're in a rush, especially since their dining room has air conditioning.

Mang Inasal for me is one of the fast food chains that serves the best grilled chicken ever! Their chicken retains its juiciness unlike others when grilled eh, natutuyo na. Kahit siguro araw-arawin ko ang pagkain dito e okay lang. One time, kumain kami dito ng family ko. Sakto, gutom na gutom talaga ako. I ordered PM 1 (P99) and when I finished everything, gutom pa rin ako. So I ordered their Sisig plate. In total, I consumed 5 cups of rice. Tipong si kuya na yung lumalapit sa'kin para bigyan ulit ako ng kanin. Luh. Hahaha by far the best Inasal experience. Nagulat nalang sa'kin pati mga kuya ko natalo ko sila sa extra rice challenge.

In the Philippines, no matter if you order via app or online, the food is delivered hot, juicy and on time. My favorite so far is the soy and garlic flavour. Crispy on the outside and soft white meat in the inside. The meat is not dry when Deep frying the wings. And to quench your thirst, I recommend getting pineapple juice. Fresh juice over ice. Korean fever has definitely hit the Philippines and Bonchon is at the top of the list. Eumsig mas-issda. Translation, the food is freaking delicious!!

When you have their fast food chains gaining strong foothold in the Filipino market, you know it's more than just a fad. Korean culture, and its fast food equivalent Bonchon Chicken, is here to stay. PROS: For P155.00 for a 2-piece chicken rice meal, it's just 5 pesos more than the leading fast food chicken two piece meal; The sweet-savory soy garlic coating of their chicken is truly distinctive, making me say "Lasang Bonchon" for whatever other food comes my way with similar characteristics; Those wonderful chicken pieces come in a lot of different flavors; They offer a whole range of other food as well like seafood and snacks. CONS: The insides of the chicken isn't really as tasty as its crispy exteriors; Rice servings that aren't quite enough for the Pinoy tummy. TL;DR: For a distinctive fast food fried chicken experience minus the usual golden-brown breading, go for the delicious soy garlic Bonchon chicken.

I think Shakey's is pretty popular(?) in the Philippines because we drove by one so many times in Manilla. We ended up eating at one inside SM North Edsa. They were pretty busy when we arrived. We waited just a few minutes though. Their menu is what you'd expect at a pizza parlor. Wings, beer, salad... pizza. Lol. We ended up getting the Mojo's & Dip which is a sliced potato fried in batter. I felt like the batter was a bit too thick but it was still pretty tender. We chose the Shakey's Special which was recommended by our waiter. He said it's pretty similar to the Manager's Special but Shakey's Special has pepperoni. My dad wanted thick crust but I think there was a misunderstanding of what "thick crust" meant. We were told they don't offer that but I think "hand tossed" would be the proper term? I'm not so sure. We ended up getting it thin crust and it was fair. It wasn't bad but it wasn't life changing. It kind of reminded me of a lunchable pizza- just fully loaded. Would I go here again? Only if there is absolutely nowhere else to go.
