A convenient little spot to grab a coffee and a quick breakfast. Later in the day pizza, beer and tapas are your options, so this is a pretty good example of your standard neighborhood cafe in Madrid.
While the staff wasn't super friendly (my Spanish was worse than their English in truth), the service was decent and the food pretty good.
We had a tortilla (the classic Spanish egg and potato dish) and some coffee, black for me and with milk for my dining partner.
We also tried a pastry and some orange juice, all of which were pretty good.
The people watching was excellent and while there were a couple of (small) tables, I'd encourage you to sit at the window for that as it was my favorite part of the meal. read more
