Absolutely incredible!
This establishment ranks in my top 5 places I have ever eaten. The space is lovely - reminiscent of the bossa nova / midcentury modern vibe of the mid 50's and 1960's without appearing old and worn down. It is super, SUPER clean and comfortable. They had a piano player and jazz singer there today, and we loved it. Music was excellent, but not overbearing at all - perfectly complemented our dining experience.
The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and super courteous. They are on par with any Michelin starred restaurant staff I have ever encountered, and made the experience wonderful.
All of their dishes are exceptional. If you read about the chef, you will understand why - training came from several Exceptional schools/restaurants, and there is a definite philosophy behind the food. Essentially, the food is from locally sourced, responsible growers/farms, and highlights local ingredients, without being overly pretentious. The quality for all dishes was top-notch, and the flavors are presented in well-balanced dishes that left you wanting more, even though the portions are excellent.
I had the octopus dish, and my wife had the fish with yucca and bananas. We had the shrimp/yuca appetizer, as well as their sun-dried beef croquettes and everything was absolutely perfect. Again, the balance of flavors cannot be overstated here - everything simply complemented each other, and all dishes were well seasoned without outlier flavors.
I am definitely looking forward to returning to this establishment on our next trip to Fortaleza. This establishment is simply exceptional, and you will not go wrong here.
