Hmm, they've pulled some weird moves before but today pretty much sealed the deal for me. I usually stop by after the gym so I'm sweaty and with my gym bag. However, I usually spend a decent amount and am not weirdly hovering. I was looking for a particular brand that they keep in my usual area. And some random looking girl (who I later found out is an employee) was smelling a sealed container. She started laughing out of nowhere and then got this guy working in the store to come over and ask if I needed help. Long story short this girl creeped on me even while the other guy was helping me. When he walked away she still creeped on me. It was quite odd and thinking back on it makes me feel like the other reviewers are right. Something is fishy here. And I don't mean the extra large, weirdly packaged containers of product that aren't sold anywhere else. Will go elsewhere to spend my money from now on.

Mimi and me after we found the perfect wig!

I went to Manhattan Beauty to get a wig for a show I was doing. Mimi helped me find the PERFECT one. She knows the inventory like the back of her hand. She was i credibly helpful and fun. It was the third place I went. The other two had employees that didn't really know anything about wigs, which is not good since I don't know anything about wigs. So go to Manhattan Beauty and ask for Mimi!!! She's the best!!!

Once again... I searched through Harlem for hair with no luck. Then it dawned on me Manhattan Beauty always had the hair I needed years back. So I head downtown, low and behold.... the hair I need just waiting for me to purchase. I needed an additional 5 packs so I asked an employee if she could check in the back for me. She quickly checked and came back with the additional packs. The employee at the register was very friendly & pleasant. As expected the price is $1 more than beauty supplies further uptown. Silly me wasting my time elsewhere.

I stopped in for a hat on a windy day in New York City, and came out with a very cute sequined baseball hat for a good price.

I walked into a space that covers a lot of ground, from snacks and drinks to beauty products, home goods, and collectibles, and the density of what is on display makes it easy to spend more time browsing than I planned. The snack selection is the strongest draw and covers an impressive range. I saw Asian versions of familiar American snacks sitting alongside Japanese and Korean originals, and the drink section downstairs is broad enough that finding something I have not tried before is a near certainty. The variety of drinks, many with anime or character branding, reflects a buying approach that goes beyond the standard convenience store selection. The beauty and skincare section upstairs is well stocked with Korean and Japanese brands that are not widely available at American drugstores. I browsed through everything from face wash to sheet masks and specialty treatments, and the prices are competitive for imported products of this type. Blind boxes occupy their own significant section, and the selection across different series is one of the better in the city, with reasonable pricing relative to what the same items cost at specialty toy stores. Home goods, toys, collectibles, and kawaii accessories fill the remaining floor space. For a one stop shop for Korean and Japanese lifestyle goods, snacks, and beauty products in Koreatown, TESO Life delivers a broad and browsable experience that rewards repeat visits.

I want to report that this website continues to post and promote products that are clearly a scam…read more In my case, I placed an order for body creams on March 3rd, and the company that processed the charge on my account was a completely different one called MELIO. Right after they charged me, the order was canceled with the excuse that I had requested the cancellation, which is absolutely false. I never canceled anything. Since then, my money has been in dispute because: The company does not respond to emails. They only send automated messages saying someone will get in touch with me, but no one ever does. Meanwhile, MELIO claims that they already sent the money to the seller and is now asking me to either pay again or provide my card number so they can try to charge me again. Absolutely not! This is robbery. I should not have to lose my money like this. And who is going to compensate me for the damage? This situation is unacceptable. I have already reported this case to: My credit card company The Better Business Bureau The appropriate authorities here in California These two companies are working together to scam people. It's not a big store size wise but they do pack a lot of punch. Service is kind and friendly, often times they can get busy due to the demand but they manage. I walked into a store that is essentially one large room, and the density of product on display meant navigating it during a busy period required some patience, but the selection within that compact space was broader than the size suggested. The Korean literature section covers both Korean language and English language editions across a range of genres, which makes it genuinely useful for anyone studying the language or looking for titles that are difficult to find at general bookstores in the city. I saw children's books in Korean, well stocked. The K pop side of the store covers albums, photocards, posters, keychains, stickers, and merchandise across a wide range of artists, with BTS having a particularly strong presence historically alongside newer groups. Pricing runs higher than what I would pay ordering online or finding the same items at a larger retailer, which is the standard trade off for a specialty shop in Manhattan. Album prices in particular can be steep, though sale events bring them down to more competitive territory. Individual accessory items like stickers and bookmarks are priced at a premium relative to their size, so going in with a sense of what I am willing to spend helps avoid sticker shock at the register. The store is a reliable stop for anyone looking for Korean books or K pop merchandise in a physical retail setting in New York, with the caveat that the pricing and the crowd level are both factors worth knowing about before I go.
