Unfortunately manna sushi sen did not have good sushi whatsoever. The fish didn't taste fresh and the rice was hard. The sushi itself also seemed rushed to be put together (for a lack of better terms) as it was falling apart when I got it. The only reason I gave two stars versus one was that the people working there were very kind, but there is a lot better quality sushi in Douglaston. read more

This sushi spot is pretty good considering it's owned by Korean people. I visit manna sushi once a month. So one complaint that I have is that their unagi is served cold. I don't know why they serve unagi cold but anyway the quality of their ingredients are top notch. I'll be back soon! read more

I'm glad I found this gem. Really good sushi for a great price. We got the nigiri sushi roll combo small and it was just right for 2 people. They gave ample ginger, soy sauce and wasabi. You can tell that they don't skimp out on the fish. I rarely ever see places cut the sashimi way they do here, it has a tail trailing off. I also like how they didn't over do it on the rice. 3.5 stars I had to drop by UPS this weekend and dropped by Sushi Market to grab a quick addition to lunch. I've seen good reviews on Yelp so I was excited to give it a try; however, it was a little bit of a let down. I'm pretty picky about my sushi though. We got a sashimi box ($17) and it was ok... but underwhelming. It came with 4 pc salmon, 3 pc tuna and 5 pc fluke. I liked the salmon. I'm not a huge fan of tuna because I find it too fishy most of the times, so I let my bf eat those. And I do not like fluke! I tried one pc though and it was okay. I was hoping to get some yellowtail bc I saw someone else got that. I'm not sure if you can ask for specific pieces, but if I come back I will try. The California roll was ok, but I wasn't a fan of the rice. When I went to pick it up, the roll just unraveled. But this roll is really just a filler anyways. The miso soup was also pretty watery. If I come back, I may just get the sashimi combos, as the sashimi seems fresh. I don't think the rolls are really worth it and if I wasn't a fan of the California roll, I'm not sure what I'd think of the other rolls read more

Fairly new spot (opened just three weeks ago when I started writing this review). Ha ha It's now over a month ago. Great take out sushi spot that was much needed in this neighborhood so I'm even happier to report that it's not only great but economically a good value. Prices for sushi start at $6 - $12 (roll/ roll combos and individual portions) then upwards to platter sized portions for groups and such. It's all fair and value priced for # of people which is great if you're buying for a large group. Note: they have hot food and appetizers which start at $6 but I didn't purchase any on this visit). The most important thing, fresh sushi. While the fish selections were limited, you'll have to remember it is take out -- not meant to be of restaurant variety. I was still very pleased with the quality which is why I gave this place a five star rating. All of the fish in my platter for 2 was fresh, portioned correctly and cut appropriately (I have a pet peeve about this as you may know from my other reviews). This is Korean style sushi as each platter comes with hot sauce on the side. I'll stick to the traditional wasabi but out of curiosity, I did try the hot sauce since it was offered to me. A bit too spicy for my taste but I see the appeal. My entire clan enjoyed the food and no complaints here. Miso soup comes with the entrees and platters. We especially loved the salmon pieces, very fresh. I did make a request for an order not listed on the menu and they were able to accommodate given they had the pieces, it was a matter of putting it together (custom salmon Jirashi don instead of the usual tuna don). Not a typo on Jirashi, that's what the menu says. They were so nice to accommodate. Will definitely be a regular here for my sushi fix. read more

This establishment is for take out and delivery only. There are no tables for seating inside or outdoors. This is not due to COVID restrictions, but that is their business model. Once inside there is a single counter with the cash register and a large hanging wall menu. The service is great and the food is always fresh and presented in an appetizing manner. Our family of four shared a Medium Roll Combo (30 sushi +16 California + 8 Eel) for $50, which it filled us up! We also got a set of regular rolls for the kiddos (1 salmon avocado + 1 tuna avocado), and that only set us back $6 each. They also offer a Sashimi Poke Over Rice, which looks to be a Korean Hwe Dup Bop (but not advertised as such. For $15, it is topped with fresh cubes of sashimi plus seaweed salad; substantial and certainly shareable! Additionally, you can ask for the rice and gojuchang sauce on the side. Only a few comments on things that "made me go Hmmm" (but not worth taking off a star)... - On one of the pieces of sushi, there was a small piece of shiso leaf under the fish. While this is not a bad thing, I almost wished that either all of the sushi came this way uniformly or the the shiso leaf was left off completely. - It would have been nice to have a few leaves of shiso as a garnish, as soon as their neighboring competitors offer. - A few pieces of nigiri sushi had a swipe of Wasabi under it, a traditional way of preparing sushi. Again, not a bad thing, but it was only noted in two pieces out of 30. And it wasn't like those pieces were set to the side. Overall, my family was satisfied and our bellies were full. They looks like sushi coming from supermarket and not from a sushi restaurant. The eel avocado roll, I cannot even see the eel at all. The spicy roll's color is really off. Prices are similar to other restaurants around, quality is inconsistent though. The first time I ordered, it was decent basic sushi, fresh and satisfying. I went back a few weeks later and the second time I ordered, it was beyond the worst sushi I ever had. It had to be made from different sushi chefs. For example, the first time I ordered, my spicy salmon was chopped salmon with spicy Mayo with tartar consistency , the second time was literally a piece of solid salmon with spicy Mayo drizzled and super thick rice. The second order skimmed out on quality and fish. Sushi market is clearly a takeout oriented store. There's not a lot of seating space inside and the decor is minimalist. I ordered two rolls to see how the quality is. - Salmon roll (8 piece): a good amount of rice and a reasonable amount of salmon in each piece. Vinegar wasn't very strong, which is nice. Salmon didn't taste or smell fishy, which is good. - Spicy tuna roll (8 piece): ratio of rice/vinegar was the same as the salmon roll. I didn't tasty any spiciness or crunch from the filling, which was disappointing. - Miso soup (complementary): containers were small (probably half a bowl each). Didn't taste overly salty and was the perfect finisher for my meal. For the price, I got what I expected. Given that there were no dedicated sushi places in the Little Neck area (other than the buffet down the road), I'm sure I'll be back. read more

Amazing food, affordable prices, and wonderful owners! This is one of my family's favorite places to eat and if you enjoy sushi at all, I highly recommend ordering here. They have vegetarian sushi options available, too! I always get the avocado roll, which is excellent. Their space is bright and clean, and the service is really fast! Rolls are presented in neat, pretty containers with wasabi, ginger, soy sauce, and they also provide miso soup (which I love). Restaurant is located in a plaza where plenty of free parking is available, including an underground lot. Also near residential streets where free parking is usually available.
