My first experience with Robbie Johal was when I was selling my house, he was nice when I first…read morecalled but when he realized that there was a brook by my house and that he had to call the city, (make it a little more work to get the info about changed bylaws), he didn't look happy about the extra work he'd have to do, he said he'd get back to me on what he found out. I never heard from him again till I seen him at one of his open houses. He said, you look familiar, I reminded him what happened. He apologized, I said thats ok it sold above asking. Then came the time when I was interested in a house, he happened to be the selling agent, Robbie played games the whole way.. My real estate agent had a hunch he was bluffing. He said there was another offer, we submitted an offer and he said my offer was accepted. I had it subject to house inspection, when the inspection was done, there was quite a few problems so we bargained with the price, he then said that the owner would not bargain cause they had an accepted back up offer (if mine fell through) that had no subjects. We tried to bargain, he said the owner was not going to bargain. So I was ready to sign the release form to end the contract. He then offered a bit of his commission to make the deal happen. Even with his offer, It was not even close to enough to cover the repair costs. The same day, I see that he is having an open house on house I was interested in bargaining with. What happened to his accepted back up offer????? Sad that he has to lie to possible clients to get ahead.

He may call himself the number one realtor and drive around in a car with a one on it, but his…read moreservice level is far from that. We had numerous issues with Robbie, starting from our first week on the market (with mixed up showings, clients arriving before the agent, leaving garbage behind for us to pickup and him forgetting to bring our pamphlets). Robbie did not have our best interests at heart, and did nothing but make our selling experience extremely difficult. Robbie will blame anyone but himself for his mistakes. He didn't communicate to us on next steps or a game plan without us asking, and failed to provide us with BASIC info on multiple occasions, upon request (due to his lack of wanting to put in effort). Robbie also made multiple rude comments to us throughout the process and to others. We asked for an unconditional release, which he failed to fully allow. The only reason we stayed was due to a last-minute change to an offer. During this process, he had no problems asking us for things (extending deadlines, realtor bonuses, or reducing the price), but would then disappear and failed to provide basic service to us when requested. There is a difference between confidence and arrogance, and Robbie is definitely the latter. I hope no one has to go through this experience and I would not recommend him to anyone.

You know those commercials that stress the importance of needing a realtor, especially if you're…read morebuying a home for the first time? My situation easily could have been put into one of those commercials and Elliot would be the hero realtor in the commercial that saved the day. The time finally came where I was ready to spend my hard earned savings on a home of my own. I started looking at places online but had no idea where to begin. That's where Elliot came in. As soon as I told him what I was looking for, and in what area, he began sending me listings in my price range. I couldn't believe it: of the first three listings he sent me, I knew I found my dream home. It was love at first sight. Elliot immediately booked a viewing for me and my fiancé. He booked us viewings for all the other listings we were interested in too. So the search began. After going to all these viewings, I still had my heart set on the one I fell in love with. It was time to put in an offer. We told Elliot how low we wanted to go and he respected our wishes. When the seller countered, we came back with another low offer. Elliot listened to our requests to still go lower. He let us know of the risks of going too low (that we could lose the place) but still countered, giving the seller reasons to take our lower offer. His persistence paid off and the seller agreed! Our experience wasn't over then though. We had issues with strata fees that were supposed to be included in the cost, mailbox keys that had gone missing, property taxes, etc. Elliot stood by us the whole time. He was quick to answer our texts, calls and emails no matter the time of day. He worked with us to make sure everything went smoothly, despite a lot of our issues not being part of his job. As stressful as our closing was, Elliot was always there for us and made sure that we were happy. Even after the closing, Elliot has still been there to answer further questions we've had. Thank you Elliot for helping us find our first home and for getting us through all of the hiccups.
