There is a nice selection of many kinds of food. Be it fish, seafood, meat or vegetarian. Not every option is available daily (or it might sell out), but there's always lots to choose from. We ordered some chicken cotoletta, zucchini, salmon, meatballs and some mixed seafood. Did cost a bit under 30 Euros for everything. Quality was very good, the veggies very delicious. So was the seafood (mussels, squid) and the cotoletta. Meatballs were nice and tender, pork possibly, which we enjoyed. The salmon itself was a standard quality, but it was in a vinegar sauce, and that was an unlikely, but actually fantastic combination. Surely something we'll try back at home. Food-wise and quality-wise there was no issue. A very enjoyable meal. Price-wise it really could be a tad cheaper - compared to other food in town on a similar food-quality level. Almost 30 Euros was a bit on the high end. Besides that a really great experience.

Breakfast was scrambled eggs and meat, meats and cheeses, very tasty croissants, cakes, waffles, pancakes and fruit. The cappuccino was delicious. Service was excellent. Check in and out went very smooth. We often asked them to help us make reservations for dinner for which they were happy to assist. One night we didn't have a spot in mind so we asked them for ideas and one women working there suggested a place that ended up being one of our top meals in Italy. Upon one long day of walking, we headed to the bar and ordered a drink. They brought it out to us on the terrace along with snacks. It was awesome. Our view overlooking the sea was amazing. Our patio was well used with sitting and lounging chairs and a table. Our room was big enough for us and was kept clean throughout our stay. My only nit would be the shower. It was a design that didn't have a drain. The drain was a slit in the side of the wall. I'm not sure if the shower wasn't slanted correctly or the slit was too small, but it didn't take much for the shower to fill with water and spill out the door. We had to take quick showers in this one. Loved. the stay here.

Excellent food, terrible service from our waiter…read more We came to this hotel restaurant as guests from outside the hotel and were really looking forward to it because we ate here two years ago and it was superb. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge letdown because of our waiter, Menor. On the positive side, the food was excellent. The chefs in the open kitchen were clearly working hard and turning out great dishes, and they deserve a lot of credit. The problem was not the kitchen. The problem was the service. We started with cocktails before dinner, and from that moment on we felt like we were an inconvenience rather than welcome guests. When I simply asked how the tuna was prepared, our waiter, Menor, responded with, "Do you want an introduction to the tuna?" It was sarcastic, disrespectful, and completely out of line. After that, no one offered us wine with our meal, and the food came out in about five minutes, which made the whole dinner feel rushed and dismissive instead of relaxed and enjoyable. It really felt like the restaurant staff didn't care about guests who weren't staying at the hotel, which is very disappointing given how great our experience was the first time.

We did not have a reservation and just walked up at 7:45PM and waited for a seat. They offered wine and water while we waited. The owner was greeting everyone as well as serving. Cannot say enough good things about the service and the quality of the food, including the desserts. This is a MUST if you're in Genoa.
