Great back 9. I've only golfed back 9 but enjoyed my time golfing. There were geese on hole 10 that I was scared of lol. I didn't want them to chase me so I skipped the hole. The man behind me told me they move if you scoot up. Either way I'll be back and the pro shop is huge with reasonable prices. read more

I guess I'm leaving my first review after a great fitting experience at Maple Hill. I have frequented Maple Hill to buy a driver and putter and some other things over the years. Finally decided to treat myself to a set of new clubs and looked towards Maple Hill. They have absolutely everything. New, used, current and previous models of clubs. I'd be impressed if they didn't have what you were looking for. My fitting process was an incredible experience. I was able to schedule a fitting on super short notice (Like 15 hours notice) and they got me in the next day. I was helped by Hunter who was an absolute legend throughout the entire process. I warmed up and he got me set up with a few sets of irons. He did an amazing job of explaining the data behind each club and shot, which is great for someone like me with very little technical gold knowledge. He didn't push me towards any clubs, was mindful of my budget, didn't try to up charge me, and was extremely kind and courteous throughout the whole process. Throughout that all, there was no manager present so Hunter was practically running everything himself and somehow devoted his full attention to myself but other staff and customers, which I was very impressed with. 11/10 experience. read more

Smaller golf course, but great tee time availability. Can usually get in same day even with a short 2 hour call ahead. There are water jugs available for drinking halfway through which is a really nice and an appreciated touch. Benches scattered throughout the course for leisure viewing. Golf carts run great and they go decently fast. Push carts are free if you choose not to ride. It is a cheaper golf course in the greater Grand Rapids area; $17 riding, $15 walking. They have a driving range across the road too. I like the props they have set out there including a submarine. Makes the range more fun. Great golf course to start playing at if you're just getting into golf. read more

Awesome service every time and pricing always hard to beat. And there huge selection is second to none.

The golf shop is the best in west Michigan in terms of selection. The course needs to be better managed though. The course is really easy, which is fine for a casual round. What isn't fine, is when you reserved an early tee time so you can beat the crowd and get a quick 18 in, only to find out the pro shop is letting groups of four start on hole 10....in front of groups making the turn. I'm not kidding when I say my buddy and I took about 1:15 on the front, and 3 hours on the back. When we made the turn, we were greeted by 3 foursomes on hole 10 (1 chipping onto the green, 1 just teed, and one waiting), none of whom had played the front. At one point, there were 4 groups on the same hole...and two waiting at the tee box. The ranger finally showed up when we were on the 16th hole, and asked "how it was going?". When we complained about the pace, he said "there wasn't much he could do." No $h1+!....how about next time, don't let 6 foursomes off the back 9 on a Saturday morning, right in front of the people coming down the 9th fairway? read more

Absolutely Awesome. 1) I sent them an email asking a question and received a response back in less than 2 hrs. 2) Ordered a New Bettinardi putter and it arrived within 24 hrs with free shipping (Grant it, I'm in a neighboring state). The putter had all the original manufacturers wrapping/Headcover included and is perfect. 33% less expensive than I was able to find elsewhere, which I was skeptical at first (Too good to be true scenario). They have the best pro shop in town stocked with top of the line equipment. The employees are usually in good moods and happy to help. Although some of the older gentleman tend to talk down to anyone under 30 years of age, and occasionally you get an employee who obviously doesn't like their job. The course is a bit pricey for the quality. About 6 years ago you could golf 9 with a cart for $17. Now it's about $24, but the course has not improved in quality. It's more of a $20 course, not $24. If they put more money into the course, this would be a 4 star review. read more

If you need help making a decision, I couldn't get much help so I went somewhere else where they helped me figure out the right driver and I bought it. Ordered a club and received a tracking number next day. 4 days later, tracking said it was waiting for item before providing a ship date. Long story short after inquiring about the tracking, I was told that the club would ship directly from manufacturer in 5-6 weeks!. Ordered a bag for my dad for Father's Day. I noticed a typo in the zip code for delivery. I emailed them as soon as I received a confirmation informing them of the error. I heard nothing back. I emailed them again, informing them to change the digits in the zip. Again, zero response. I then called and the man who answered said he would have to talk to someone else because he didn't know. He would then get back to me. He never did. I called for a second time after emailing twice and now calling for the second I finally spoke to someone who knew what happen. They marked the order as fraudulent because of the delivery zip code address? Oddly, enough they did charge my card even though they flagged it as fraud? The lack of communication and charging me while marking it as fraud makes me feel that if I didn't call they were going to cheat me out of the golf bag for sure. Company feels mismanaged and unprofessional. If I did it all over again, I'd would have ordered from a more reputable company and pay the extra bucks to do business with a better company. read more

I like the people there. It's nice to have a fully stocked golf equipment store. And I mean fully stocked. You can buy anything for golf here. That, combined with the outdoor and heated range stalls, it keeps the skills up year round. I haven't tried the simulators but will soon. The golf course is nice to play anytime and is just right for a mid-high handicapper like me. Overall a nice family owned place that makes you feel like family. read more

Regarding their online store, Maple Hill was my go to retailer. I would purchase clubs, bags, shirts, balls, just about all of my golfing equipment. But I've been forced to shop elsewhere due to their coupon codes never working and I mean the coupon codes advertised directly on their website, not some 3rd party group coupon. At first I thought it was just a glitch or a really restrictive coupon code, but the last 3 or 4 haven't worked on anything, not even brands NOT listed on the exclusions list. This past labor day I just started adding tons of random items into my cart to see what qualified. Didnt matter if it was shirts, towels, shoes nothing qualified for the code, not even 200 dollars worth of product. It just doesn't make sense to buy one item here and another somewhere else when I can get all of my product from one retailer and save of shipping costs, get all my products at the same time, and use coupon codes that actually work. Maple Hill is really losing out on a lot of business from multiple customers for not honoring or providing valid coupon codes. Edited Update: So instead of taking the review personal, Maplehill addressed the review professionally. I dont think anyone expects a 15 percent off code to work on a set of Taylormade clubs. Whatever the issue was with the past few discount codes, they seem to have corrected the problem with their current coupon code. I played around with the current discount code advertised on their site this morning and was able to apply the discount to useful training accessories and shirts. There is even a notice on their info section advising to contact them if there is issue with the discount code. Really like that they took the time to address the issue in as many ways as possible. read more

Stopped in on a very cold November day for an hour of indoor play with a friend. While I did enjoy myself, there's nothing like being out on an actual fairway. I was a little unprepared as to how warm it would be in there, and as a result worked up quite the sweat. Next time I'll remember to wear shorts. The pro shop is super clean and very well-stocked and the staff was friendly. I wasn't in need of anything today, but when I have more time I'll definitely make it a point to stop in and look around. This rating is solely based upon my experience with the indoor golfing range, I plan on updating my review in the spring when it warms up a little, and I can give the main course a shot. read more

This place sucks. Being female, they act as though you are invisible when you walk through the door, no help whatsoever. I decided to give them another chance and called to make an appointment for a club fitting. The gal I spoke to on the phone tried to convince me I should just come in and buy a complete set that even comes with a bag, assuming that I am a beginning golfer! I am not, been golfing for years and have a 12 handicap, but she never asked anything about that. I will be taking my business which would end up being almost $2,000 with the fitting and clubs elsewhere, and will NEVER buy anything from them again. read more

My husband and went to buy new drivers and hybrids. They never came back to my inquiry about the driver and hybrid I wanted (same as spouse only for women) and zeroed in on him. I also was interested in shoes and went to that area as well. I was never greeted yet 2 men who came in after me were immediately greeted and helped. I was ready to buy 2 new clubs which would have doubled their sale to well over $1000.00. Based on how I was ignored, I will go elsewhere for my gear. Very disappointing. read more

I have done business with this company for about 20 years. They are extremely customer focused. Great prices and product offerings. Their sales people are very attentive but do not pressure you to buy. They are a local business who are very supportive of the local community. Their golf course is great for both the amateur and experienced golfer. They offer golf lessons, club fittings and indoor booths for trying out product. Winter practice range is also available. This place has about everything a golfer could ask for. I appreciate how I've been treated and always look forward to doing business with them. read more
