Located out in the country among beautiful fields and the dairy farm. We arrived about 7:30 and the line was really long but we decided to wait. I was beginning to wonder if we would make it in before 9:00 when they closed. There is not a store except a freezer with milk and ice creams. You can get ice cream in a cone or a cup. I noticed almost everyone had a cup. You can choose one to four scoops and they have a wide variety of toppings. I got one scoop of butter pecan and one scoop of praline. Both were full of nuts. I liked the praline best. They had chairs on the porch and tables to the side. Many brought a blanket to sit on. Interesting place but I have had better ice cream.

One of my students suggested this place to me and I was excited to check them out. I love ice cream...this place is cute inside and smells lovely. They offer a lot of flavors and combinations. They also have milkshakes. I went with a creamy creation that had gummies and frosted animal crackers. It was good and cost me $8. I felt uncomfortable here and not welcomed so I won't be returning.

We are regulars at Maple View and we were highly disappointed this time around. I ordered my normal mint chocolate chip with hot fudge. The ice cream was very gritty. Brought it back in and no credit or offer for another flavor. We also waited at least an hour, four people behind the counter and only two making up the ice cream, the other at the cash register with lots of wait time. The other boy was making cones and bowls forming them over the molds with his bare hands, and I don't mean just a light touch but completely covering them and patting. The bowls and cone case were full yet he kept making more when better use of his time would have been to help the other two staff members.

don't remember what I got, but it was good.

Always on my to do list when I visit home! Freshly made ice cream with a fantastic view! Great service and large portion. 2 scoops were the same price as 1 scoop in NYC. Plenty outdoor seats!

Some of the best ice cream I have ever had and an absolutely amazing experience overall. They are popular and we went on a Saturday afternoon so there was a line to the door but it moved very quickly. The staff were not only fast but also very friendly. They do samples if you wanna try a flavor before ordering. Along with their many flavors to choose from they also have a creations menu with 19 specialty sundaes options, a banana split menu with 7 varieties, a milkshake menu with 9 options, and a float menu with 10 options. Flavors are subject to availability but they also sell pints of ice cream. When we came in we saw milk, half and half, heavy cream, butter, buttermilk, eggs, and cheese for sale as well. The bathrooms were very clean. For seating they have rocking chairs on the porch in the front and some picnic tables and a grass area on the side where people had blankets. Also some people playing frisbee. We are in Durham and it was a 20 minute drive. We would definitely make the drive again. Perfect for a day with beautiful weather to enjoy with friends or family.

We came here on a beautiful sunny day. It was such a beautiful view for eating ice cream! The ice cream itself was pretty good and had a lot of creative flavors. We really liked their large selection. The hot fudge was average, I probably wouldn't get it again but still yummy! The staff was really nice and helpful!

If you're looking for the BEST ice cream spot in RDU, you need to check this place out. It is quite a drive as it is located on a farm ~ 30 minutes from Durham, but the drive is well worth it on a hot sunny day! There is a great selection of flavors and you are able to purchase pints to take home. When I visited over the summer, the wait was around 30-40 minutes, but it was well worth it! I loved the classic strawberry and vanilla flavors - they tasted so natural, creamy and rich. My family loved it as well - so much that when they visited me in Durham, they went again without me (of course they had to bring 2 pints home for me). I highly recommend if you're looking for a high quality ice cream spot! It is also a great date spot - rustic, farm ambience!

Ice cream with a view! Fresh made ice cream that doesn't feel too much like a sugar overload with an incredible view, I wouldn't want to get my ice cream anywhere else! It's super beautiful around this time of year, not only did we see the beautiful golden hour, we also saw some fireflies when it got dark! Well worth the wait for the ice cream. They have an incredible amount of options! Sadly, you are not able to sample any of the ice cream, but it only means you have to come here multiple times to try them all yourself! Plenty of room to park and also plenty of space to sit on the lawn or at their benches to watch the sun. They have plenty of ice cream flavors and different combinations, including milkshakes and floats, or making your own. They sell fresh milk, eggs, butter, and more for a low price! I got one scoop (which was more than enough, it felt like 3-4!) for myself with the PB&J with waffle bowl. I like that they make it from scratch, even the bowl. My only feedback is that the bowl was slightly cold and a tad bit soggy upon getting it, and service is a tad slow- but still worth the wait. Perfect for a friends gathering, if you want some alone time, or come here with a friend or date. Very cute!

Great place for some good old fashioned home made style ice cream out in the farm land area! Lots of great options! I ended up getting a cup of buckeye and banana pudding flavor and yum they were yummy!! And I had no idea 2 scoops was going to be so large in a cup hahaaa Super friendly folks and they let me try the flavors prior! I also had to get their chocolate milk because chocolate milk! I was dairy'ed out but sitting outside on the rocking chairs overlooking the the other farm and just the greenery of it all was peaceful and so nice!

    Me and family!

Delicious ice-cream flavors, in all the possible formats. (Malts, shakes, cups, bowls, splits, sundaes, toppings, combinations). Fun rocking chairs on porch over looking a great field, reminding me of vineyard? Fun field for families to entertain youngsters. Loved it! Oh yeah, very fresh eggs and butter!

We didn't see any northern lights sadly

I really hope Mapleview pays their employees well. We went on Saturday in an attempt to see the northern lights and ended up in line for an hour and a half. Regardless of how long we waited, we ended up still getting let in way after their closing hours with a long line behind us as well. I know those younger folks are worked hard. While I appreciate the business staying open for the long line of people that waited for a long time. I also understand that these employees are only scheduled to a certain time and honestly the line should be cut off at the door by closing. Either way, thank you to the employees, especially a girl that helped me with my order. I think her name was Annie or Anna. She made me the banoffee after not really knowing how to make it and insisted she would try for me! So amazing!

I assume their special evenings like this are unique and they're probably not menu repeaters BUT hopefully this review will encourage you to attend their next one or just go eat there. The food was immaculate. I can't even pick a favorite. Baked oysters, cured scallops with bread, halibut crudo, delicious pasta dish and lastly venison. Everything was SO good. The wine pairings were also super delicious. I'm not much of a red wine drinker and I appreciated the lightness of the reds that were chosen. The woman from the wine shop did a phenomenal job of explaining the history and significance of each wine. It was a lovely experience. The restaurant staff were so friendly and kind as well. Only thing I'd change is adding a dessert! Would've loved a little sweet treat, even something tiny like a truffle or scoop of icecream, just something to finish off the meal would've been amazing. All in all, the meal was so amazing and I'm so glad I got to experience this wonderful event. Everyone should go check them out!

We stopped by late on a Saturday night, just before they closed at midnight. FYI, the hours shown on Yelp, Google, and even Ben & Jerry's official website incorrectly listed 1:00am as the store's closing time on Friday and Saturday nights. During our visit, the hours posted on the storefront had 12:00am as the closing time on Friday and Saturday. This Ben & Jerry's has about 12 seats inside. The eight of us ordered our ice cream, took it outside, and ate at one of the tables on the sidewalk patio. The menu had over 25 ice cream flavors. We had a small cup ($7.50) of the Churray for Churros! It had good texture and flavor, but my wife thought it was too sweet. Ben & Jerry's ice creams do tend to run a little bit sweeter. Coincidentally, around the time of our visit, we bought lots of pints of Ben & Jerry's to eat at home. They were on sale (e.g., BOGO, 3 for $10) at Harris Teeter in Meadowmont Village. We got the following flavors: Cherry Garcia, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Dirt Cake, Marshmallow Sky, Milk & Cookies, and Strawberry Cheesecake. All of these flavors were also available at this Ben & Jerry's location on Franklin Street. Locally, we prefer Andia's Ice Cream and generally, we prefer Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams. Ben & Jerry's is still fine, though. Service was good. There was only one employee working and we could tell he was ready to go home for the day (I would too). The restroom was out of order and closed.
