After a few minutes he came over with an iced martini glass, a bottle of vodka and a bottle of vermouth. Smiling, he said ' 50/50?' My reply '90/10'. A great guy that started a wonderful evening. When the remainder of our party arrived we were shown to our table, outside on the patio overlooking the sea. What could make this idyllic situation better. The food. There was a mixture of orders around the table and everyone was in awe of the standard of cuisine. My mussels were totally delicious. My husband ordered what was shown on the menu as seared tuna however he received overly cooked, gray tuna that tasted as if it had been reheated after having spoiled. When we complained the waiter simply stated that is how they serve the dish and walked away. The ox tail was hard and did not fall off the bone. The pork was dry and overcooked. And, the prices were exuberant considering the poor quality of the food. All in all, every dish seemed preheated, overcooked, and just plain awful.

The cons are that the service offered isn't the friendliest, the cocktails barely contain any alcohol (it's not the alcoholism talking, just observational), and the food is simply not good (even though priced fair). To give you some examples that led me to this conclusion: the group I went with was declined a table at the sea, even though during the entirety of our stay multiple tables were free and unused. And even though the table was in the dead center next to the bar and kitchen, the order taking took very long. Further, the cocktails my friend got were more sugary compared to my Coca-Cola, and the food was not prepared well. I've ordered the Sole meunière (pictured). The fish was very large, yet it was simply drenched in melted butter and so chewy my cheeks hurt after finishing my plate. I wouldn't recommend to go here, if only for the views on the sea if you plan to grab a regular beer at the bar (which has a terrace).

Plentiful to the extent that if you haven't a big appetite you would be hard to finish it. My partner chose a seafood pasta dish which was totally rammed full of seafood. My mussels in white wine and cream sauce was second to none. We arrived, unreserved, at about 7.00 pm and managed to get a table. By 7.30 the restaurant was packed by people who had reserved. So there's a tip, arrive early or reserve a table. Great restaurant, fab service, exceptional food. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.
