Sweet Onion Junction is the name of the inside grocery portion of this Marathon gas station. Located off of I-16 near Soperton, this gas station was well lit on the inside and out. They have the average convenience store items, as well as hot pizza. They sell lottery tickets and beer or wine products. I've stopped here on previous trips and I find the owners to always be very friendly. They have a small pizza restaurant inside. I've never eaten the food but it smells pretty good. The gas prices are about the same as other exits. Bathrooms could use some updating. You must purchase something to use them and you will need a key. Not an issue for me because I love getting a big sweet tea and some spicy boiled peanuts. If you have time you must walk around the small travel center in same parking lot. It's a old log cabin and picnic tables with a cute wishing well. There is a cute outhouse that's old too but not for use of course. The old post office building is there too. Just a nice little place to make you feel you've gone back in time. read more

Horrific bathrooms that look like they've never been cleaned. Men's room had pee all over the seat and no TP. Women's room just as disgusting- two toilets and one completely covered with a bag/taped up (probably the same as another reviewer from TWO years ago!). Obviously never ever cleaned. They ask you to buy something even though sign says Tourist Information Center! Fairly clean with a burger and fried chicken stand inside.

Have low expectations when it comes the bathrooms. I don't mind that the bathrooms are only for paying customers, but then have toilets where you can flush the toilet paper. Putting the used TP in the trash can is absolutely disgusting. read more

Located off exit 67 on I-16 West. While I can understand wanting people to purchase something if needing to use their restroom, it was more of the way it was expected and instructed. The sign on the restroom door are to ask cashier for key and must purchase something or go next door to use the bathroom. I asked for the key and was instructed to lock the door behind me when done. Once inside, the bathroom had 2 toilets, one completely inoperable (taped all crazily), and you are faced with yet more instructions to not flush a lot of TP. I get it, inconsiderate people exist, but still... Also, their inventory was minimal and cashier was extremely meh. I have found if you have a nice, clean, updated, and welcoming establishment, people will respect your business more and in turn willingly spend their money. I would hold your bladder and wallet and continue on to another exit where you will feel like a welcomed costumer, not like a simpleton. read more
