A very professional Japanese girl took care of my needs. I was just looking for a stylish blow dry as I was assisting a very dressy gala event. Her english was not perfect but we communicated well with hand and gestures, and magazine photographs. There isn't anything particularly amazing about this place, except for its location. You can forget you are in London and there is very little movement outside, especially in the evening (as offices are closed). They have the usual selection of tea and coffee on offer and the scalp massage was particularly relaxing. The salon itself is basic as you would expect from a family run business. The staff are very friendly and the hair cut took 20 minutes giving me plenty of time to get to my train. Lets make a list: Pro: - great staff with lots of smiles all around - nice consultation with the hairdresser before the cut - head massage Contra: - she still cut my hair way too short, even though I mentioned it was cut too short before (maybe its the curl ... it looks longer when the hair is still wet) - an hour for a short haircut seemed very long, especially without the blow dry - awkward discussion when paying. I had called up beforehand to confirm the 50% discount, but they only wanted to give 15% (made a bit of a fuss and got 50%) I think it was the discussion about the discount, which made the whole thing a bit awkward. I had called up before to confirm, as it seemed a deal too good to be true. it felt like they count on people not arguing when they get "only" 15%. Or maybe I'm just being cynical and the receptionist could not understand my accent very well.

Let's just finish this'. Later I asked, 'is it ok if I take a look at the back and see how it is', he was very reluctant and rushed me to be quick. After seeing the cut, I said 'this is not we agreed on, could you help adjust it'? He refused. Then in five minutes, he left with his bag. His colleague, a lady called Emma, came to me and offered help--she literally spent the next 2 hours fixing the messy 'layers' that Fabio did to me, and tried her best to make it look neat and back to normal. I am grateful for her effort, but Fabio did such an awful job in the haircut making it impossible to recover. I have been to countless haircut and style in my life. Met various stylists. I am also a master student in London. My advice is, DON'T WORK WITH FABIO. THE WORST STYLIST I MET IN LIFE.

I can't afford to get my haircut regularly at the prices that some salons in London charge, but Mark does a better job for about half the price. And sometimes there's a dog present, so that earns them a bonus star :)
