I decided to get a made-to-measure suit and worked together with Mr. Von Appen. He took initial measurements and accompanied the whole process. Unfortunately, after two attempts at a proper fit, he figured out that it just wasn't going to work out and offered to give me my money back. Now for the details: I am into working out and have what one would call a muscular build.....broad shoulders and chest as well as a relatively slim waist. I decided to go made-to-measure as off-the-rack never fits me anyway without completely ruining the suit via tailoring.....I've tried....trust me. I was pleasantly surprised with the initial consultation from Mr. Appen and decided to go with Hacket for the suit. He was diligent and patient with the process and they had to send the first suit back a couple times to the tailor until eventually figuring out that it was just cut wrong. They decided to toss that suit and start again. Unfortunately the next one that came was cut wrong too. Technically, I should be complaining but I have great respect for the store and their honesty. They simply said I'd be better serviced going to a tailor for full-custom who measures and then sews for me. Will be more expensive but for my body probably the best bet. They immediately offered a full refund and couldn't be more apologetic for my time. This is what I highly respect when it comes to clothing stores. There are so many options out there that only via customer service can you really stand out. I will go out of my way now to get things from Hackett in the future as I am extremely loyal to customer service and this is how you anchor me as a customer. They gave me my money back on this purchase but I'll make sure to come spend it here in the future.

I was searching for a gift for an upcoming birthday and found just what I was looking for. There is a great variety from households to knickknacks, clothing and a selection of children's items. I love the paper they use to gift wrap! I have not seen many other shops in Hamburg like this and it was quite reminiscent of a general store in the U.S. The owner was very pleasant and helpful.
